Volcarona @ Psychium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Volcarona usually struggles against some of the best defensive cores in the Monotype metagame, and one such core is the Water-type core of Mantine and Toxapex. Both Mantine and Toxapex can use Haze easily against the standard Volcarona set to stop its attempt at sweeping. However, this set allows Volcarona to easily beat that core and pressure Water teams, making the matchup easier for Bug teams. Psychium Z allows Volcarona to get past Toxapex easily after a Quiver Dance boost, and Hidden Power Electric lets Volcarona threaten Mantine more effectively. In addition to beating the Water-type core, the set also puts in work against Flying teams, as the only Pokemon that can check Volcarona defensively is Mantine, and it is threatened by Hidden Power Electric. Since Volcarona no longer beats Heatran reliably without Hidden Power Ground, it is advisable to use teammates that make the Steel-type matchup easier and so Pokemon such as Mega Heracross and Buzzwole are good teammates for this set.

Volcarona usually struggles against some of the best defensive cores in the Monotype metagame and one such core that gives Volcarona trouble is the Water-type core of Mantine and Toxapex. Both Mantine and Toxapex can use Haze easily against the standard Volcarona set to stop its attempt at sweeping, moreover Toxapex can Toxic Volcarona and it is just generally hard for Bug-type teams to beat due to its good bulk. However this set allows Volcarona to easily beat that core and pressure Water-type teams, making the matchup easier for Bug-type teams. Psychium Z allows Volcarona to get past Toxapex easily after a Quiver Dance boost and Hidden Power [Electric] lets Volcarona threaten Mantine more effectively. The set also reduces burden on Pokemon such as Galvantula to check Water-type core. In addition to beating Water-type core, the set also puts in work against Flying-type teams as the only Pokemon that can check Volcarona defensively is Mantine and it is threatened by Hidden Power [Electric]. Since this set Volcarona no longer beats Heatran reliably without Hidden Power Ground, it is advisable to use teammates that make Steel-type matchup easier and so Pokemon such as Mega Heracross and Buzzwole are good teammates for this set.
This is a bit long, so I trimmed out some of the unnecessary stuff. Also, I think you should make it clear why Volcarona doesn't beat Heatran in case readers aren't aware. If you're still worried about character count, you can cut stuff out like "Water-type teams" and just say "Water teams".

Volcarona usually struggles against some of the best defensive cores in the Monotype metagame, (ac) and one such core that gives Volcarona trouble is the Water-type core of Mantine and Toxapex. Both Mantine and Toxapex can use Haze easily against the standard Volcarona set to stop its attempt at sweeping. However, (ac) this set allows Volcarona to easily beat that core and pressure Water teams, making the matchup easier for Bug teams. Psychium Z allows Volcarona to get past Toxapex easily after a Quiver Dance boost, (ac) and Hidden Power Electric lets Volcarona threaten Mantine more effectively. In addition to beating the Water-type core (or "beating Water-type cores", depending on what you mean), the set also puts in work against Flying teams, (ac) as the only Pokemon that can check Volcarona defensively is Mantine, (ac) and it is threatened by Hidden Power Electric. Since Volcarona no longer beats Heatran reliably without Hidden Power Ground, it is advisable to use teammates that make the Steel-type matchup easier and so Pokemon such as Mega Heracross and Buzzwole are good teammates for this set.
