[OVERVIEW]

Volcarona's access to Quiver Dance along with strong coverage options and a decent offensive typing allows Volcarona to be a powerful late-game cleaner, letting it find itself a spot on Fire-Type teams. Its part-Bug typing allows Volcarona to ease Dark- and Psychic-Type matchups, while coverage options like Giga Drain and Psychic allow Volcarona to take on Pokemon such as Swampert and Toxapex. Furthermore, it has an excellent Special Attack stat and a decent Speed stat, which can be further amplified by Quiver Dance, making Volcarona harder to manage as a sweeper. However, its part-Bug typing stacks a Rock-type weakness, making it weaker against Stealth Rock. Volcarona has a low physical bulk, which makes it vulnerable against physical priority users such as Dragonite and Mega Pinsir.

Moves
========

Quiver Dance boosts Volcarona's Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stat by one stage, allowing Volcarona to be a fearsome late-game sweeper. The Speed boost lets Volcarona outspeed Pokemon like Choice Scarf Excadrill at +1. Fire Blast is Volcarona's strongest STAB move and allows Volcarona to deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Zapdos, Mega Gallade, and Kyurem-B. Bug Buzz lets Volcarona to hit Dark- and Psychic-types super effectively, such as Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Mega Latias. Giga Drain allows Volcarona to take on Water-, Ground- and Rock-type Pokemon, such as Swampert, Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Diancie. Hidden Power Electric allows Volcarona to beat Gyarados and Mantine.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs and 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature let Volcarona hit as hard as possible while outspeeding Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Excadrill, and Kyurem-B. Firium Z allows Volcarona to use a powerful 185-Base Power Inferno Overdrive, capable of dealing significant damage to threats such as Zapdos. Flame Body grants Volcarona a chance to inflict burn on Pokemon that are known for using contact moves, such as Dragonite and Mega Gallade.

Usage Tips
========

Volcarona's typing leaves it weak to the common Stealth Rock, which takes 50% of Volcarona's HP on each switch in, as well as the other entry hazards. Therefore, it is best to use Volcarona after a teammate removes entry hazards in order to keep it healthy. Be wary of common status spreaders such as Chansey, Porygon2, and Toxapex. Status conditions, namely poison and paralysis, are threatening to Volcarona and leave it weak against revenge killers such as Terrakion. Use Volcarona's good natural special bulk and Quiver Dance to take advantage of weak special attackers such as Rotom-W and set up on them. Avoid taking unnecessary damage, as it will hinder Volcarona's ability to set up and sweep. Try to use teammates such as Rotom-H and Victini to pivot in with Volt Switch and U-turn. Make sure to eliminate defensive checks like Chansey and Heatran, along with Haze users such as Mantine and Toxapex, before setting up, as those Pokemon can still take on Volcarona even after Quiver Dance boosts. Be wary of common Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Nihilego, and Greninja carrying Rock Slide, as they are capable of outspeeding Volcarona after one Quiver Dance boost and reliably KOing it. Try to set up twice in order to outspeed said Choice Scarf users or seek for better setup opportunities after these Pokemon are eliminated. Use Giga Drain to pick off weakened foes if they are in the KO range in order to regain HP. Note that Volcarona's below-average physical bulk leaves it weak against physical priority users such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Mega Pinsir. Keep your Inferno Overdrive for Pokemon that can handle every attack from it, such as Gyarados. However, it can be used freely if it doesn't affect the outcome of the battle.

Team Options
========

Torkoal makes an excellent partner for Volcarona; its capability of removing entry hazards with Rapid Spin benefits Volcarona greatly, as it is very fragile against hazards. Furthermore, Torkoal's access to Drought boosts the power of Fire Blast and Inferno Overdrive, letting Volcarona secure KOs more easily and be effective even without Quiver Dance boosts. Its access to Yawn also gives Volcarona opportunities for setting up safely. Torkoal also provides Stealth Rock support for the team, which lets Volcarona have an easy time against Flying- and Fire-type matchups. Rotom-H's Reflect and Light Screen lets Volcarona set up Quiver Dance safely, Defog removes hazards for Volcarona in order to let it switch safer and stay healthy, and Volt Switch gives Rotom-H ability to bring Volcarona in the field without taking any direct damage. Its access to Levitate also lets Rotom-H pivot into Ground-type attacks. However, Rotom-H must watch out for Mold Breaker Excadrill. Heatran is one of the most important teammates that Volcarona has; its part-Steel typing allows Heatran to check Pokemon like Nihilego and opposing Heatrab and KO them back with Earth Power, and its access to Flash Cannon lets Heatran beat Mega Diancie for Volcarona. Its useful utility moves Taunt and Toxic along with Magma Storm allow Heatran to isolate some of Volcarona's checks such as Mantine and Toxapex and eliminate them, giving Volcarona more opportunities for setting up. Mega Charizard Y is another sun setter that can weaken the opposing team with its monstrous Special Attack stat, allowing Volcarona clean easier late-game. Its part-Flying typing serves as a Ground-type immunity and lets Mega Charizard Y switch into Ground-type attacks safely and retaliate with its Solar Beam. Its Drought also weakens Water-type attacks and let it act as an offensive check against Water-Type Pokemon as well. Mega Charizard X forms a strong offensive core with Volcarona, capable of beating Pokemon like Mantine and Heatran with Dragon Claw and Earthquake. In return, Volcarona can beat Swampert and Porygon2 for Mega Charizard X. Victini's access to Bolt Strike and V-create lets it effectively beat bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Mantine and ease the Flying- and Water-type matchups. It also has access to U-turn, which can be used to bring Volcarona in safely. Infernape is another decent partner that can threaten some of Volcarona's checks such as Chansey, Heatran, and Nihilego after Stealth Rock damage with a powerful STAB Close Combat. Furthermore, its access to U-turn can be used for pivoting as well.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Running Psychic with Psychium Z allows Volcarona to beat Toxapex and Nihilego on the switch after Stealth Rock damage. However, running a different Z-Crystal means Volcarona has to forego the powerful STAB Inferno Overdrive.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazards**: Volcarona suffers heavily from entry hazards; Stealth Rock will take 50% of its HP in every switch in, Toxic Spikes cripples Volcarona and affects its longevity in the field, and Sticky Web leaves Volcarona vulnerable to revenge killers.

**Rock- types**: Rock-type Pokemon such as Terrakion, Nihilego, and Tyranitar can comfortably KO Volcarona with their respective Rock-Type STAB attacks.

**Heatran**: Heatran's good dual typing and access to Flash Fire allow it to take every hit from Volcarona without any major trouble. Furthermore, Heatran's access to Taunt and Toxic can shut down Volcarona completely, and Stone Edge can also OHKO Volcarona.

**Chansey**: Chansey's amazing natural bulk paired with utility moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave puts Volcarona in a tough spot. Capable of taking multiple hits from a boosted Volcarona, Chansey can retaliate back with the said status moves and force Volcarona out with the combination of Seismic Toss.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Mantine take neutral damage from Giga Drain. Their access to Haze can remove any Quiver Dance boosts, and this along with a reliable recovery move allows them to take on Volcarona one-on-one. Offensive Water-type Pokemon such as Gyarados and Keldeo can KO Volcarona comfortably with their STAB attacks.

**Revenge Killers **: Common revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Nihilego, and Latios out speed Volcarona and can either KO or deal serious damage with their respective STAB attacks.

**Status**: Status effects such as poison and paralysis cripple Volcarona greatly, as the former limits Volcarona's longevity on the field and the latter halves Volcarona's Speed, hindering its ability to set up and sweep.

Moves
========

*Quiver Dance boosts Volcarona's offensive stats by 1 as well as its Special Defense, allowing Volcarona to set up against weak Special Attackers.
- should probably put something more general here, like "to act as a setup sweeper"?

*Fire Blast is Volcarona's strongest STAB, allows Volcarona to deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Zapdos, Mega Gallade, and Kyurem-B.
*Bug Buzz allows Volcarona to hit Dark- and Psychic-Types effectively, such as Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Mew.
- z fire blast probably nukes mew hard enough so use latios or mega latias as an example over it

*Giga Drain allows Volcarona to take on Water-, Ground- and Rock-Type Pokemon, such as Swampert, Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Diancie.

Set Details
========

* 252 Special Attack and 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature let Volcarona hit as hard as possible, while outspeeding Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Kyurem-B, and Excadrill.
* Firium Z allows Volcarona to use Inferno Overdrive.
* Flame Body grants Volcarona chance to inflict burn on Pokemon that are known for using contact moves, such as Dragonite and Mega Gallade.

Usage Tips
========

*Volcarona suffers a great deal from entry hazards due to its dual typing, for that it is best to use Volcarona after a teammate removes entry hazards for it in order to keep it healthy.
* Be wary of common status spreaders such as Chansey, Porygon2, Toxapex, and Mantine Slowbro. Status conditions poison and paralysis are threatening to Volcarona and leaves it weak against the revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Nihilego.
- toxic mantine isnt used commonly, changed it to slowbro to reflect the paralysis thingy

* Use Volcarona's good natural special bulk and Quiver Dance to take advantage of weak special attackers such as Rotom-W and Zapdos, and set up on them.
* Avoid taking unnecessary damage by directly switching in attacks, as Giga Drain is not a reliable recovery move.
- say something like "Avoid taking unnecessary damage as it will hinder Volcarona's ability to effectively set up and sweep."

Try to use teammates such as Rotom-H and Victini to pivot in with Volt Switch and U-Turn respectively.
* Make sure to eliminate Pokemon like Chansey, Heatran, and Mantine before setting up, as those Pokemon can still take on Volcarona even after Quiver Dance boosts.

* Volcarona's excellent offensive stats allow Volcarona to be dangerous enough to sweep teams such as Dark- and Psychic-Type teams after 1 Quiver Dance, try to avoid boosting unnecessarily.
- i feel like thats sort of obvious

* Watch out for bulky Haze users such as Toxapex and Mantine, as they can take on all of Volcarona's attacks while removing the Quiver Dance boosts.
*Switch out against the common Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Nihilego, Keldeo, and Greninja carrying Rock Slide as they can outspeed Volcarona even after one Quiver Dance boost and reliably KO it. However, Keldeo must watch out that it will take a reasonable amount of damage.
- i feel like when u set up once with volcarona, you're more or less aiming for a sweep on the spot rather than switching out later. otherwise you'd be using qd twice to outspeed said scarfers. this is up to you but id probably talk about boosting twice to outspeed scarfers if they're still present. if not, then you can merge it with the bullet about taking out volcarona's defensive checks and talk about these pokemon.

*Use Giga Drain to pick off kills if the opposing Pokemon is in the KO range, in order to regain your HP.
*Be wary Volcarona's below average physical bulk that leaves it weak against physical priority users such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Mega Pinsir.
* how to use firium z

Furthermore, Torkoal's access to Drought boosts the power of Fire Blast and Inferno Overdrive, letting Volcarona secure KO's more easily and let it be effective even without Quiver Dance boosts.
- setup opportunities with yawn

* The utility provided by Rotom-H is appreciated by Volcarona; Reflect and Light Screen lets Volcarona set up Quiver Dance safely, Defog removes hazards for Volcarona in order to let it switch safer and stay healthy, and its access to Volt Switch gives Rotom-H ability to bring Volcarona in the field without taking any direct damage. Its access to Levitate also lets Rotom-H pivot into Ground-Type attacks. However, Rotom-H must watch out for Mold Breaker Excadrill.
*Heatran is one of the most important teammates that Volcarona has, its part Steel-Typing allows Heatran to check Pokemon like Nihilego and KO them back with Earth Power. Heatran can also set Stealth Rock down for the team, pressure enemy entry hazard removal Pokemon with Taunt and Magma Storm and weaken the enemy team for Volcarona to clean late-game. Heatran is also capable of blocking the opposing Volcarona, cripple it with Taunt and Toxic or OHKO it with Stone Edge.
- i took out sr tran bc its not that common. should probably focus on heatran being able to isolate and remove some of volcaronas checks with magma storm and taunt.
- volcarona can deal with opposing volcarona fine, z fire blast screws opposing volc + stone edge heatrans not really a thing on fire, more of a steel thing

Its access to Earth Power can be used to beat opposing Heatran as well.
* Mega Charizard Y is another sun setter that can weaken the opposing team with its monstrous Special Attack stat, allowing Volcarona clean easier in the late-game. The part Flying-Type serves as a Ground-Type immunity and lets it switch in Ground-Type attacks safely and retaliate with its Solarbeam.
* Mega Charizard X forms a strong offensive core with Volcarona, capable of beating Pokemon like Mantine and Heatran with Thunder Punch Dragon Claw and Earthquake respectively. In return, Volcarona can beat Swampert and Porygon2 for Mega Charizard X.
- tpunch zard x sux

* Victini's access to Bolt Strike and V-Create lets it beat bulky Pokemon effectively and ease the Flying- and Water-Type matchups. It also has access to U-Turn, which can be used to bring Volcarona in safely.
- i know there are a few notable pokemon victini can beat for volcarona, maybe use like chansey and mantine as examples

*Infernape is another decent partner that can improve Volcarona's quality in the field. Its part Fighting-Type lets Infernape eliminate some of Volcarona checks such as Chansey, Heatran, and Nihilego after Stealth Rock damage with powerful STAB Close Combat. Furthermore, its access to U-Turn can be used for pivoting as well.
* Volcanion is capable of taking Water-Type attacks safely, for that it can be used as a teammate to support Volcarona. Its access to Steam Eruption beats Ground- and Rock- types easily, helping Volcarona to clean late-game easier.
- i dont think volcanions relevant enough for team options + volcarona can probably pressure the same slower rock and ground types with giga drain by itself fine so eh

* Running Hidden Power Ice lets Volcarona to OHKO Pokemon like Landorus and Garchomp after 1 boost. However, running Hidden Power Ice removes the opportunity of dealing with Water-Types such as Swampert and Seismitoad.
* Running Hidden Power Electric lets Volcarona beat Mantine and unboosted Gyarados. It has no other use.
* Running Psychic with Psychium Z allows Volcarona to beat Toxapex and Nihilego on a switch in after Stealth Rock damage.
- mention having to forego a powerful nuke in firium

Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazards**: Volcarona suffers heavily from entry hazards; Stealth Rock will take 50% of its HP in each switch in, Toxic Spikes cripples Volcarona and affects its longevity in the field, Sticky Web leaves Volcarona vulnerable to revenge killers.

**Rock- Types**: Pokemon like Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Diancie, Terrakion, and Tyranitar can all either live a hit from boosted Giga Drain and Bug Buz or outspeed Volcarona with Choice Scarf and comfortably kill it their respective Rock-Type STAB attacks.

**Heatran**: Heatran completely walls Volcarona if it is not using Hidden Power Ground. Heatran's access to Taunt and Toxic can cripple Volcarona and prevent its setup, or it can KO Volcarona with Stone Edge.

**Water-Types**: Pokemon like Toxapex, Mantine and Gyarados are capable of resisting Bug Buzz while taking neutral damage from Giga Drain. Toxapex and Mantine have access to Haze and Toxic, which can shut down Volcarona completely, while Gyarados deals significant damage thanks to its STAB Waterfall.

**Revenge Killers **: Pokemon like Keldeo, Nihilego, Latios, and Victini can outspeed Volcarona even after Quiver Dance boost with Choice Scarf and can either KO or deal a significant amount of damage.

**Status**: Status effects such as poison and paralysis hinders Volcarona's offensive presence, as the former limits the longevity of Volcarona in the field and the latter leaves Volcarona weak to revenge killers.

**Chansey**: Chansey can comfortably take multiple hits from Volcarona, regain its lost HP, cripple Volcarona with Thunder Wave and Toxic and can even set Stealth Rock in front of it.

**Rock- Types**: Fast Rock-Type Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Terrakion are capable of outspeeding Volcarona after Quiver Dance boost and can reliably OHKO it, while bulky Rock-Type Pokemon such as Nihilego and Tyranitar can take hits from Volcarona and retaliate back with their Rock-Type STAB attacks.
- I'd make this a lot more concise. just name a few rock types and say how they can all nail volcarona with their rock stab moves.

**Heatran**: Heatran's good dual typing and its access to Flash Fire allows it to take every hit from Volcarona without any major trouble. Furthermore, Heatran's access to Taunt and Toxic can shut down Volcarona completely. It's access to Stone Edge can also OHKO Volcarona.

**Water-Types**: Bulky Water-Type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Mantine take neutral damage from Giga Drain. Pokemon like Gyarados can take hits from Giga Drain and Bug Buzz as well while dealing serious damage with Waterfall. However, Gyarados must watch out for Flame Body. Offensive Water-type Pokemon such as x and x can take out Volcarona with their STAB moves.

**Revenge Killers **: Common revenge killers such as Victini, Nihilego, and Latios outspeeds Volcarona and can either KO or deal serious damage with their respective STAB attacks.

**Status**: Status effects such as poison and paralysis cripples Volcarona greatly, as the former limits Volcarona's longevity in the field while the latter halves Volcarona's Speed by half, hindering its ability to effectively setup and sweep.

*Volcarona's dual typing leaves it weak to common Stealth Rock which takes 50% of Volcarona's HP on each switch-in as well as the other entry hazards. For that it is best to use Volcarona after a teammate removes entry hazards in order to keep it healthy.
*Be wary of common status spreaders such as Chansey, Porygon2, and Toxapex, and Slowbro. Status conditions, namely poison and paralysis are threatening to Volcarona and leaves it weak against the revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Nihilego.
*Use Volcarona's good natural special bulk and Quiver Dance to take advantage of weak special attackers such as Rotom-W and Zapdos (bit of an iffy example since you mention that Volcarona should avoid status users; in this case SubToxic Zapdos), and set up on them.
*Avoid taking unnecessary damage as it will hinder Volcarona's ability to set up and sweep. Try to use teammates such as Rotom-H and Victini to pivot in with Volt Switch and U-Turn respectively.
* Make sure to eliminate defensive checks like Chansey and Heatran, along with Haze users such as Mantine and Toxapex before setting up, as those Pokemon can still take on Volcarona even after Quiver Dance boosts.
*Be wary of common Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Nihilego, Keldeo, and Greninja carrying Rock Slide as they are capable of outspeeding Volcarona after one Quiver Dance boost and reliably KO it. Try to set up twice in order to outspeed said scarfers, or seek for better opportunities after these Pokemon are eliminated.
*Use Giga Drain to pick off kills if the opposing Pokemon is in the KO range, in order to regain your HP.
*Be wary Volcarona's below average physical bulk that leaves it weak against physical priority users such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Mega Pinsir.
* Keep your Inferno Overdrive for Pokemon that can handle every attack from Volcarona, such as Gyarados. However, use Inferno Overdrive in matchups where Volcarona isn't as useful, such as... at will if it's not needed since it can be used as a reliable Fire-Type move. (feels ambiguous)

Team Options
========

* Torkoal makes an excellent partner for Volcarona, its capability of removing hazards with Rapid Spin benefits Volcarona greatly as it is very fragile against the entry hazards. Furthermore, Torkoal's access to Drought boosts the power of Fire Blast and Inferno Overdrive, letting Volcarona secure KO's more easily and let it be effective even without Quiver Dance boosts. Its access to Yawn also gives Volcarona opportunities of setting up safely.
* Rotom-H's Reflect and Light Screen lets Volcarona set up Quiver Dance safely, Defog removes hazards for Volcarona in order to let it switch safer and stay healthy, and its access to Volt Switch gives Rotom-H ability to bring Volcarona in the field without taking any direct damage.
Its useful utility moves Taunt and Toxic along with Magma Storm allows Heatran to isolate some of Volcarona's checks such as Mantine and Toxapex and eliminate them, giving Volcarona more opportunities for setting up.
Alternative Water-type check w/ Solarbeam; Drought also halving the power of Water-type moves.
* Mega Charizard X forms a strong offensive core with Volcarona, capable of beating Pokemon like Mantine and Heatran with Dragon Claw and Earthquake respectively. In return, Volcarona can beat Swampert and Porygon2 for Mega Charizard X.
* Victini's access to Bolt Strike and V-Create lets it beat bulky Pokemon effectively such as Chansey and Mantine and ease the Flying- and Water-Type matchups. It also has access to U-Turn, which can be used to bring Volcarona in safely.
*Infernape is another decent partner that can eliminate threaten some of Volcarona checks such as Chansey, Heatran, and Nihilego after Stealth Rock damage with powerful STAB Close Combat. Furthermore, its access to U-Turn can be used for pivoting as well.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Running Hidden Power Electric lets Volcarona beat Mantine and unboosted Gyarados. It has no other use outside of that purpose.
* Running Psychic with Psychium Z allows Volcarona to beat Toxapex and Nihilego on a switch in after Stealth Rock damage. However, running a different Z-Stone means Volcarona has to forego running the powerful STAB Inferno Overdrive.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-Types**: Rock-Type Pokemon such as Terrakion, Nihilego, and Tyranitar can comfortably KO Volcarona with their respective Rock-Type STAB attacks.

Their access to Haze can remove the Quiver Dance boost, combining this with a reliable recovery move allows them to take Volcarona 1 on 1 one-on-one comfortably. Offensive Water-Type Pokemon such as Gyarados and Keldeo can KO Volcarona comfortably with their STAB attacks. Either keep one-on-one or remove the part entirely, but "one-on-one comfortably" in the connotation you wrote it in feels very peculiar.

**Revenge Killers**: Common revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Nihilego, and Latios outspeeds Volcarona and can either KO or deal serious damage with their respective STAB attacks.

**Status**: Status effects such as poison and paralysis cripples Volcarona greatly, as the former limits Volcarona's longevity in the field while the latter halves Volcarona's Speed by half, hindering its ability to setup and sweep.

**Chansey**: Chansey's amazing natural bulk paired up with utility moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave puts Volcarona in a tough spot. Capable of taking multiple hits from a boosted Volcarona, Chansey can retaliate back with the said status moves and force Volcarona out with the combination of Seismic Toss. Place this under the Heatran bullet for cohesiveness.

**Haze and Phaze users**:
Perhaps.

Imo I just think there's way too much information in this C&C, but they're ll things that are important for people using Volcarona. I'd ask you to cut down some information, but I wouldn't know what to cut tbh.

About haze and phaze part, mono's 2 important hazers are mentioned under the Water Types and Volcarona beats nearly ever roar user in the tier and avoids nearly every dragon tail user. Dunno if it needs a special bullet for mention

[OVERVIEW]

Volcarona's access to Quiver Dance along with strong coverage options and decent offensive dual typing allows Volcarona to be a powerful late-game cleaner, letting it find itself a space in Fire-Type teams. Its part Bug-Typing allows Volcarona ease Dark- and Psychic-Type matchups, while coverage options like Giga Drain and Psychic allow Volcarona to take on Pokemon such as Swampert and Toxapex. Furthermore, it has an excellent Special Attack stat and a decent Speed stat which can be amplified by Quiver Dance even further, making Volcarona harder to manage as a sweeper. However, its part Bug-Typing stacks its Rock-Type weakness, making it weaker against Stealth Rock. Volcarona has a low physical bulk which makes it vulnerable against physical priority users such as Dragonite and Mega Pinsir.

Quiver Dance boosts Volcarona's offensive stats by 1 as well as its Special Defense, allowing Volcarona to be a fearsome late-game sweeper.
- give examples of what it outspeeds at +1 like scarf excadrill

Fire Blast is Volcarona's strongest STAB, allows Volcarona to deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Zapdos, Mega Gallade, and Kyurem-B. Bug Buzz allows Volcarona to hit Dark- and Psychic-Types effectively, such as Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Mega Latias. Giga Drain allows Volcarona to take on Water-, Ground- and Rock-Type Pokemon, such as Swampert, Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Diancie. Hidden Power Electric allows Volcarona to beat Gyarados and Mantine.

252 Special Attack and 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature let Volcarona hit as hard as possible, while outspeeding Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Excadrill, and Kyurem-B. Firium Z allows Volcarona to use powerful 185 BP Inferno Overdrive, capable of dealing significant damage to threats such as Zapdos. Flame Body grants Volcarona chance to inflict burn on Pokemon that are known for using contact moves, such as Dragonite and Mega Gallade.

Status conditions, namely poison, and paralysis are threatening to Volcarona and leaves it weak against the revenge killers such as Nihilego.
- its always weak to nihilego unless its at +2 and has hp ground, find a different example maybe

Use Volcarona's good natural special bulk and Quiver Dance to take advantage of weak special attackers such as Rotom-W, and set up on them. Avoid taking unnecessary damage as it will hinder Volcarona's ability to set up and sweep. Try to use teammates such as Rotom-H and Victini to pivot in with Volt Switch and U-Turn respectively. - keldeo is a meh scarfer, you already have enough good examples as is rn

Try to set up twice in order to outspeed said scarfers, or seek for better opportunities after these Pokemon are eliminated. Use Giga Drain to pick off kills if the opposing Pokemon is in the KO range, in order to regain your HP. Be wary Volcarona's below average physical bulk that leaves it weak against physical priority users such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Mega Pinsir. Heatran is one of the most important teammates that Volcarona has, its part Steel-Typing allows Heatran to check Pokemon like Nihilego and KO them back with Earth Power.
- heatran also commonly carries flash cannon to always ko diancie on fire, its p important for volc imo since it cant beat diancie 1v1 w/o boosts

Its useful utility moves Taunt and Toxic along with Magma Storm allows Heatran to isolate some of Volcarona's checks such as Mantine and Toxapex and eliminate them, giving Volcarona more opportunities for setting up. Torkoal makes an excellent partner for Volcarona; its capability of removing entry hazards with Rapid Spin benefits Volcarona greatly, as it is very fragile against susceptible to hazards. Furthermore, Torkoal's access to Drought boosts the power of Fire Blast and Inferno Overdrive, letting Volcarona secure KOs more easily and be effective even without Quiver Dance boosts. Its access to Yawn also gives Volcarona opportunities for setting up safely, (comma) Torkoal also provides and its Stealth Rock support for the team, which lets Volcarona have an easy time against Flying- and Fire-type matchups. Rotom-H's Reflect and Light Screen lets let Volcarona set up Quiver Dance safely, Defog removes hazards for Volcarona in order to let it switch safer and stay healthy, and Volt Switch gives Rotom-H ability to bring Volcarona in the field without taking any direct damage. Its access to Levitate also lets Rotom-H pivot into Ground-type attacks. However, Rotom-H must watch out for Mold Breaker Excadrill. Heatran is one of the most important teammates that Volcarona has; its part Steel (RH) typing allows Heatran to check Pokemon like Nihilego and opposing Heatrab Heatran and KO them back with Earth Power, and its access to Flash Cannon lets Heatran beat Mega Diancie for Volcarona. Its useful utility moves Taunt and Toxic along with Magma Storm allow Heatran to isolate some of Volcarona's checks such as Mantine and Toxapex and eliminate them, giving Volcarona more opportunities for setting up. Mega Charizard Y is another sun setter that can weaken the opposing team with its monstrous Special Attack stat, allowing Volcarona clean easier more easily late-game. Its part Flying (RH) typing serves as a Ground-type immunity and lets Mega Charizard Y switch into Ground-type attacks safely and retaliate with its Solar Beam.

* Running Psychic with Psychium Z allows Volcarona to beat Toxapex and Nihilego on the switch after Stealth Rock damage. However, running a different Z-Crystal means Volcarona has to forego the powerful STAB Inferno Overdrive.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazards**: Volcarona suffers heavily from entry hazards; Stealth Rock will take 50% of off its HP in every switch in, Toxic Spikes cripples Volcarona and affects its longevity in the field, and Sticky Web leaves Volcarona vulnerable to revenge killers.

**Rock-types**: (spacing) Rock-type Pokemon such as Terrakion, Nihilego, and Tyranitar can comfortably KO Volcarona with their respective Rock-Type STAB attacks.

Capable of taking multiple hits from a boosted Volcarona, Chansey can retaliate back with the said status moves and force Volcarona out with the combination of (not sure what you mean by this here, just "with Seismic Toss" would work at least though)Seismic Toss.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Mantine take neutral damage from Giga Drain. Their access to Haze They can also remove any Quiver Dance boosts with Haze, and this along with a reliable recovery move allows them to take on Volcarona one-on-one.
