- Hydro pump gives Volkraken an amazing coverage helping hit pokemon that resist Fire Blast like Heatran, Charizard Y, Crucibelle, Diancie, Stratagem, etc.
- U-turn makes volkraken an excellent pivot switching and keeping momentum, the best switch are deffogers/spinners because it gives volkraken more flexibility and keep healthy, Power Gem can be used to take volcanion and not get walled which can be important but Volcanion isn't very used but still a solid counter to volkraken and for last we have
- Hidden Power Grass which helps volkraken dealing Water/Ground pokemon like Mega-Swampert and Gastrodon which both gives problem to Volkraken due Hydro pump can miss and Mega-Swampert can hit back with a stronger Earthquake in the case of Gastrodon due it ability storm drain resist both STAB moves from Volkraken and Hidden power grass can deal with Gastrodon.

- 252 SpA and 252 Speed with timid nature allow Volkraken be a scary Revenge killer because of the damage that can cause thanks of the speed with Choice scarf can make outspeeding faster pokemon like Landorus therian, Mega pinsir, +1 aurumoth, Life Orb Jumbao, Scarf Excadrill, Tapu koko if don't run Scarf. That's why scarf volkraken good and why have to run Timid because if it run timid it can't outspeed that can kill it like Jumbao or Scarf Excadrill.
- 4 in HPare to reisist better moves because it has a decent Bulk.
- Analytic is also a must because punish switch which is extremly good because if you switch safetly into your opponent and if he switch he will get more damage.
Usage Tips
========
- Special Sweeper Volkraken have a good capacity of sweep thanks of the stronger moves it has and a good movepool
- This set is a revenge killer and is not hard to use, it basically hit and run thanks to analytic Hydro pump and fire blast are extremly good because it still doing a nice damage.
- you have to watch out from bulky water pokemon which are pokemon that can wall Volkraken such as Toxapex , Gastrodon, and Arghonaut and that where you have to use U-turn to pivot or do Hidden power grass into those sweet water/ground pokemon which can get really weakened thanks to the analytic if they try to switch into Volkraken
- You have yo watch out from thunder wave users because one of the weakness of this set is paralysis because you won't be a renvege killer if you are slow
Team Options
========
- Physical wallbreakers helps to deal with specials walls such as Arghonaut which completely counter him, Chansey, Gastrodon and Special Defence Pyroak all of them can resist attacks from volkraken but they don't have a good physical bulk, having physicals wallbreakers helps to destroy it one of the best is Kartana thanks can OHKO Gastrodon and arghonaut as well dealing a good amount of damage to Special defence Pyroak and Chansey.
- Defoggers and Rapid spinners are also a good parnets because volkraken is weak to hazard and losing heal by switching is very dangerous for volkraken because lose a little of bulk power it has
- Electric-immune pokemon this help to dealing most notably tapu-koko because koko can outspeed him and killing, Thundurus which is faster if is using the scarf set and Thundurus can simply use thunder wave and the scarf set won't be that usefull however you can still dealing a good amount of damage with analytic but you lose your speed which is very important for a revenge killer. one of my favorites is excadrill thanks it can hit, is faster and have a decent bulk which can deal with electric types and hits back with earthquake
- Status Healers like I said before Volkraken is weak to paralysis that's why it needs a status Healer to eliminate paralysis like clefable or chansey

-You also have to watch out for Water Absorb or Flash fire pokemon because you are a choice user that why you have to predict what is your opponent going to do the most common Water Absorb that can deal with Volkraken is Gastrodon however you have Hidden Power Grass to deal with him that is the key of using Specs Volkraken spamming but carefully of your treats.

-Electric immune pokemon because this set can't deal with faster electric pokemon and they can hit back with Thunderbolt or any other strong electric move like koko, thundurus, Manectric, krillowatt,etc. status support are also good but not that important in comparation of the scarf set because specs Volkraken can do more damage with analytic.
-Weathers helps a lot to volkraken incredible power for Sun one of the betters is Jumbao thanks it can tank ground and electric type which for volkraken is weak, also Jumbao can set the sun making Fire Blast deadly but one of the best weathers for Volkraken is Rain because boost the hydro pump and it has more parnert like tomohawk which can deal with physical swift swim users like Mega Swampert, and tomohawk can set rain and use Healing Wish to give volkraken a safer switch and another great parnert is mollux helping volkraken to take kingdra which can be a pain for volkraken and mollux can take him and mollux also can eliminate hazzards with rapid spin.
-Pokemon that can resist rock and ground one of the main falls of this set is that isn't fast and by typing Volkraken is weak to ground and rock and having a plant pokemon would help like tapu bulu which helps to dimiguite ground moves while tacking rock and ground better

-Flash Cannon is an other option for both set however don't deal that much of damage in comparation with Fire Blast if you want to deal with Fairy types is much better fire blast or hydro pump
-memento can be used in the scarf set however isn't practical and there is way better memento users than volkraken
-Hidden power electric can be used to beat bulky water types but you lose versus one of the most common walls for volkraken which is Gastrodon.

**Fast Electric type pokemon**: Scarf Tapu-Koko can easily beat Volkraken because the speed that Volkraken have is decent but isn't that great in comparison to some electric users, however, scarf Koko is the only electric type that can outspeed scarf volkraken, but in comparation of the specs set there is a ton of elecetric type way faster than him like, thundurus, Mega manectric, krillowatt, etc
**Bulky water type pokemon**: Arghonaut and gastrodon can counter him easily thanks it can take the 2 main moves which are Fire Blast and Hydro Pump and then they can healing himselfs with recover however they have to watch out for the specs set and the switch because hidden power grass plus analytic can 2HKO them. Toxapex however can resist most of the atacks but in rain can't resist the switch into him because of analytic and the other turn can kill it.
