Gem's Team:

Gardevoir (castette) (f)
Nature: Mild (+1 SpA, -1 Def)
Type: Psychic - Less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Synchronize: (Innate) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison types cannot be poisoned and Fire types cannot be burned in this manner.
Trace: (Can be Activated) This Pokemon can copy an ability of the opponent and replace Trace for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.
Telepathy (DW UNLOCKED): (Innate) This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple allies, allowing it to avoid taking damage from attacks that affect the whole field like Earthquake and Surf.

Aurumoth [cuivre](f)
Adamant nature (+atk, - SpA)

Bug: Bug STAB; more mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gains one extra attack on multi-hit moves, with a cap of five (5).
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Weak Armor (toggle): No default effect. When toggled, the Pokemon loosens its worn defensive armor so that it will break off when an opponent uses a contact attack, reducing the Pokemon's Defense and increasing their Speed by one (1) stage for each hit.
No Guard (passive): This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.
Illusion (passive) (DW LOCKED): Whenever you send this Pokemon out, it can feign the appearance of another member on your squad. If this Pokemon is damaged by a direct attack, the Illusion will cease at the end of the round. Direct damage is any attack that does damage to the Pokemon's HP. Attacks that are evaded, blocked via Protect, or damage a Substitute are not considered direct damage. It will retain the typing and moveset of the Pokemon with Illusion. [Usage Note: PM the ref if you are sending out a Pokemon with Illusion with the info on said Pokemon and one of your squad members in a Switch=KO battle. You must use that squad member later in the battle though.]

Welcome, Summoners, to today's broadcast of CAP ASB. I'm David "Phreak" Turley and this is my partner for today, Leigh "Deman" Smith. Today's match is between two of our more likeable combatants, GemOftheDay and Ragnarokalex. The match will be fought on our very own Summoner's Rift, with many of your favorite items making an appearance. However, since the person who designed this map is a heartless bitch, she left out my favorite item. While our summoner's are loading onto the rift, I'm going to throw things over to Deman to give us a bit of info on the battlers.

Thanks Phreak! Our players have battled each other a little in the past, with one such match concluding just last week. Her team has the field manipulation advantage, able to put a bit of control on the pace of the match. Alex, on the other hand, has a bit of a power advantage, with several Pokemon capable of striking hard right away. I'd definitely put the level one in Alex's favor, but it could go either way depending on Gem's strategizing.

OK, both of our summoners have loaded in, so let's cut to the match! Alex starts off with a more offensive start, with a Doran's Blade on Pyroak, a Flask on Aurumoth, and a Doran's Ring on Mismagius. Gem is gonna opt for a bit more defensive start, with a Philo Stone on Gardevoir, a Doran's Shield on Aurumoth, and a Doran's Ring on Castform. Both teams run straight down mid lane for some reason. You'd think they'd send one Pokemon to each lane, but I guess it'll go a bit faster if they head straight down the shortest lane. If anyone's unsure of the conditions of this match, it's that all Pokemon start with 100 extra health, a bit of extra speed, and an extra rank in every stat. It makes everyone a bit beefier, but they're still able to fire off a strong hit or two each. Everyone seems to not even want to wait for minions to spawn, because they're getting ready to start something in mid lane. I'll send it over to Deman to give us the play-by-play.

Thanks Phreak! Gardevoir starts off by doing what most of our players call a Mr President and diving in front of Aurumoth to take any attacks that would be aimed at it. And it's a good thing to, because Mismagius just fired off a Hypnosis, stunning Gardevoir for an action or two! Thanks to Gardevoir's passive Synchronize, Mismagius is also stunned for one action! Let's see what Alex can do off the back of that one. But wait! Gem's Aurumoth just fired off a String Shot, Mismagius is slowed! Alex's Aurumoth then gets ready to go and fires off a powerful Megahorn at Gardevoir.

TONS OF DAMAGE!!!!!

Right you are Phreak, now quit dancing and let's get back to casting this match! Castform fires off a Thunder Wave at Mismagius, causing the poor thing to be even slower! It might even give a small stun later on! Pyroak goes for a more defensive tactic and sets up a Light Screen to protect its team.

After that little tussle, many of the Pokemon heal a bit due to the regen on their items and then get right back into it. Gem's Aurumoth decides that Castform needs protection and sets up a wall right in front of it. Alex's Aurumoth decides it doesn't like that too much and decides to hit it with a powerful Megahorn. That was quite the blow, but poor Gardevoir is still stunned from the Hypnosis. Castform then decides to put the whole map into Fog of War for a few actions, leaving only me and Phreak able to see things perfectly. Pyroak tries to suck a bit of Castform's health away with Leech Seed, but fails because Aurumoth blocked the spell! Mismagius gets ready to throw a bit of trash talk at Gardevoir but can't due to the CC it was given by Synchronize.

It's a rough match for Gem so far, being down a full Pokemon and approaching two. She has Gardevoir endure the last bit of damage she can, but will it be enough? Aurumoth lets out a powerful Bug Buzz, leaving it at a single health. Castform uses Leech Seed on Mismagius, leeching even more health from Alex's team. Pyroak starts putting a hurting on Castform, who's pretty beefy after having just bought a Warmog's. Gardevoir almost made it out alive, but it died to Mismagius' Sunfire tick.

Mismagius decided to capitalize on Castform's current Fire type, and hit it with a nice Power Gem. Aurumoth joins in the beatings with a Zen Headbutt, possibly leaving Castform stunned for the action. Pyroak lets out a Sand Tomb, doing bonus damage thanks to the Lich Bane it just bought. Castform tried to let out a Shooting Star Strike (Swift + Thunder Wave), but couldn't because it flinched.
