[OVERVIEW]
STAB Edge-Quake would be very cool if the tier wasn't run by Bronzong, and if Rhydon had either recovery or a reasonable Spdef set. Sadly it doesn't have either. That said, its still very offensively threatening, and is one of the few mons that combines a Volt Switch Immunity, a Fire-Resist, and Stealth Rock into one slot, especially in post-Flygone meta.

The Boy, he hit very hard. The Boy, he rock up. The Boy, his coverage be good. The Boy, he have wide offensive movepool. Eviolite is good. Adamant let you hit very hard. Megahorn is imo not worth a slash, but is definitely worth a mention due to OHKOing Rotom-Mow and also still doing a bit of damage to levitate Zong.

Other Options

Rock Polish sets let Rhydon attempt to sweep a game, and can definitely excel against teams lacking speed control, however can struggle if the opponent brings a Choice Scarf user such as Rotom Mow, as well as from competition with Dragon Dance Tyrantrum. Heat Crash allows Rhydon to OHKO several Grass-types such as Decidueye and Rotom-Mow, however due to Rhydon's weight fails to meaningfully damage Bronzong and Dhelmise. Subsitute can be run along side Swords Dance to take advantage of the switches that Rhydon forces, and potentially run through a team.

Checks and Counters
====

**Levitate Bronzong**: Levitate Bronzong is one of the few Pokemon that resists Rhydon's STAB attacks, while hitting it with a strong Body Press, or threatening to set up against it with Iron Defense.

**Ground-Types**: Mudsdale and Golurk can both easily switch into Rhydon's Rock-type attacks, and threaten it with their own STAB Earthquake, while Golurk takes significant damage from Rhydon's Earthquake, Mudsdale can easily take multiple.

**Water-Types**: Vaporeon is not 2HKO'd by Earthquake or Stone Edge and threatens to OHKO in return with Scald. That said, it does not take on Rhydon after a Swords Dance if not running a Physically Defensive Spread. Blastoise and Starmie can both take any one hit, albeit without Stealth Rock up in Starmie's case, and threaten to OHKO it with STAB water moves.

**Grass-Types**: Grass-Types such as Celebi, Decidueye, and Rotom-Mow all can switch into Rhydon's Earthquake and threaten to KO it with STAB Grass-type attacks. However they all take significant damage from Stone Edge, and have to fear Rhydon's coverage moves.

**Super-Effective Coverage**: Rhydon's weakness to Grass- and Water-type moves mean that pokemon such as Copperajah and Heliolisk can both easily OHKO it.
