What kind of Pokemon (type, ability, role, moves, etc.) do you wish existed?

I've tried it with the whole skill swapping colour change on a smeargle, turning it flying having it roost then using mach punch, and it was neutral.

Wait, good point. Must not have been mach punch. Probably something like Karate Chop. Sorry, I typed the wrong thing. I was thinking weak fighting attacks and mach punch wasn't it. Sorry. Important point is that it was a fighting attack after the roost.

Hmm... A Rock-form of Castform would be cool, as well as adding a brand new weather effect! What effect? I don't know yet...

Sorry for ever having doubted you my friend! I just tried this myself and you are indeed correct! On the Roost-ing turn, Ground-type, Fighting-type, Dark-type and Electric-type attacks all hit for neutral damage. This would suggest the Pokémon becomes ???-type for the remainder of the Roost-ing turn, the same type as Curse, Arceus' 18th sprite, and Shadow-type moves.

Very interesting!!!

The next generation should (and probably will) be more based around weather control - we need at least one OU permanent sun and rain creator (and an alternative hailer would be cool too). This would enable many other pokemon to surface from the depths of UU, as well as set down garchomp and especially tyranitar significantly.

Hey, how about a weather effect ability called High-pressure System? It would last for a set number of turns (the big difference), and during that time, other weather is cancelled and cannot start. Eh?

You do realize their will never be an OU auto rain pokemon, dont you?

I am not sure about you, but all (good) rain teams dominate. The only thing keeping them down is SS, and the fact that rain only lasts 8 turns max. Now give them unlimited rain. If you dont have a weather changer you most likely lose as you can't out speed them, and they have STAB + Rain boosted attacks...

So auto rain would easily over centralize things since now if you dont pack a weather changer you fail as a rain dance team is really only weak once the rain is gone.

So even if gamefreak DID make another auto-rain pokemon it would not take long for it to be banned on any sensible tier list.

What if the Drizzle user was something NU like Lumineon (it is NU, right?) IDK if such a combo would be gamebreaking or hilariously awkward to use in serious OU play. =/

Ground/Fire Wall

Some with base stats of 100/80/140/80/70/75 Total=540

Fire types need some love, as Stealth Rock really hurt their playability. With Fire/Ground, Stealth Rock is only neutral, so it can switch in repeatedly without losing 25% of its health. It would be nice if it got a instant 50% recovery, as that would really boost its playability if it existed.

Ugh, that wouldn't make a difference since you really would only need that pokemon simply for rain. So send it out, then send it back in only when needed. Rain teams dont really need all 6 slots since two of them are usually given to rain dance set-up pokemon, which you now dont need.

Lumieon(or what the fucking hell its spelled) would jump from NU to OU in less than a fucking hour. (Am I the only one who likes to abuse the ability to swear on smogon?)

Here's another idea. Pretty sure somebody mentioned it before.

Fire/Dragon 600 BST Legend/Regular Pokemon

101/115/77/115/77/115

Probably be broken as hell, but who cares, it's my opinion.

Yeah... like R2-D2 said, any pokemon with auto rain would jump to OU within a few days/hours once people realize that their rain teams will dominate. Plus rain has a distinct advantage over SS... Ttar and Hippo cannot switch in to stab water attacks.

Anyway there would be no such thing as an NU drizzle user.

Maybe if it's Base Stats were 10/5/5/5/5/5. Wait, Focus Sash still makes itt OU.

Aqua Regia- Special Poison Attack
15PP 40BP 100Acc
behaves like Rapid Spin

higher BP makes up for terrible attacking type, but is still walled by steel

I kinda got bored of reading every post after a few pages, But someone was talking about the idea of a pokemon which removes weather when it switches in, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet but Golduck does just that.

Anyway, With that aside what about an ability for a pokemon that when it switches in, Your opponent's pokemon takes the entry hazard damage? I'm aware that putting it on something thats 4X weak to rock is kinda stupid, Especially if that pokemon is extremely capable of sweeping. But If it was put on something with a mediocre BST it could be useful, Although that might be slightly broken..

Now I think about it, Something with such an ability will switch in - Opponent takes SR Damage, Spike Damage, and gets poisoned due to toxic spikes. That is quite alot of damage, Especially if this pokemon that is switching in has the potential to finish off what it's switched in to.

Hmm... On the other hand it is quite good, It could stop people spamming up SR and that, It makes it so there's a price to pay for setting up all those rocks, This pokemon could switch in and completely screw you over.

Well, I guess I'd have to think about this some more, It could turn out to be completely broken... Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

No he doesn't, he just negates it when he's on the field. The weather comes back as soon as he switches out.

Assuming it was me?

Besides, Golduck totally sucks. I'd like High-Pressure System on at least a somewhat viable Pokemon. Any other thoughts on HPS, by the way?

I think mag's getting at somthing that cancels the Effect for quite a few turns, not just when that pokemon is out.

I wish Garchomp never ever got Sand Veil. He's a shark, right? So why not give him Rough Skin? That's makes more sense than Sand Veil.

Sheer Cold could become an instant freeze move. 55-60% accuracy to be fair? Since freeze is as random as sleep and is claused, why not?

And to type listings, Ice should resist dragon, poison should be SE against at least on more type, and less types should resist grass. Maybe dragons shouldn't resist grass? That way, you get more reason to use grass attacks to counter Garchomp.

Yes, less types should resist grass, and less should be super effective against it. Yes. Also, fire should be SE against flying.
