[OVERVIEW]
  • Whimsicott is good Leech Seed staller in the 1v1 metagame.
  • Its amazing ability Prankster allows it to almost always move first while using status moves. This allows you to use moves like Leech Seed, Taunt and Substitute first, regardless of your speed investment.
  • While its natural bulk is just decent, and its typing does have major weaknesses, it makes up for it with massive defensive investments, and the use of typing berries such as Babiri and Occa, that halve the damage from Steel- and Fire- type attacks.
  • It can also make use of Fairium Z combined with Charm, to severly cripple physical attackers.
  • While the ability Prankster is very good, Dark-types become unaffected by its status moves, making them a huge wall for Whimsicott to face. Priority moves can also outspeed Whimsicott's Substitute, as long as the opponent is faster.
  • Whimsicott can often opt to use Moonblast to soft-counter some of the Dark types that threaten it, such as Mega Gyarados.
  • Grass-types are also a hard counter, since they are unaffected by Leech Seed.

We generally like to have the current author be active with the analysis, because otherwise thats just keeping someone else from reserving the Pokemon and completing it faster.

What we could do is archive this, and then unarchive it when you have more time to write this, assuming no one else has claimed it and started writing it
