Hey guys i'm Joey or pokeaimMD on youtube. As a wifi battler myself i know that i watch a lot of 'PokeTubers' so i was wondering which ones were your favorite and why?

I'll start with my own list:
chimpact is a great youtuber in my opinion. Excellent content, is active, clear narative skills, and is pretty entertaining. On top of that all he is a battler that knows what he is doing.

blunder is a great example of an awesome ou player who also messes around in the other tiers as well. He is hilarious and has great narrating skills.

Edgar is another favorite of mine. Highly entertaining, great content and really knows his stuff in the ubers tier. I recommend checking him out if you want to get into Ubers.

FinalFlash Jam is a jack of all trades. An experienced and competant battler in a lot of tiers; his thought process and skill is why i enjoy his battles so much. Funny and very entertaining.

The people i have listed all produce very high quality content. I have a bunch of other youtubers i watch but these are the top ones. There skill is shown in thir videos and they also play in tours here on Smogon. Anyway, that's all i've got. Your turn!

You're my favourite poketuber tbh, and the only one I follow/watch regularly, unlike the other ones. I used to watch TheFlamingSpade a bit but yeah. I like how you tell the viewers your entire thought process and what you predict/why you make your plays etc, and the skill shown is incredible. I also like that you do all tiers lol. you're also the cutest one

not to mention the genuine funny moments lol, and your catchphrases which i find amusing (stuff like "that did a hellova lot" and "that did NOTHING")

edit: chimpact i like too, but I don't watch much

I only watch what's left of competitve battling since Let's players/casual Wi-Fi Battlers who upload 2-3 videos a day are disgusting for me.

https://www.youtube.com/user/SourBawss
He's really funny, very rusty at OU but I think that's the thing that makes me like his videos a lot more, him struggling and adding very funny effects is just a very entertaining combination.

https://www.youtube.com/user/chimpact
His sarcastic yet well made commentary makes his videos very enjoyable, he also has a lot of knowledge in a lot of tiers, which teaches me a bit of everything.

https://www.youtube.com/user/pokeaimMD
Very respectable user, his contentent is top quality in terms of competitive insight, something that Pokemon Youtube started losing since the beginning of 5th Gen, it's all about the money now.

https://www.youtube.com/user/TonyFlygon
Definetely couldn't leave him behind, he's the person who inspired me to get into BW Ubers back in the day hehe bwoi. Very inactive but I still really enjoy watching his videos once a year.

https://www.youtube.com/user/MikeDecIsHere
He used to upload really good content, his commentary was really solid.

https://www.youtube.com/user/mtgxerxes - oldie but a fucking goodie, has kept me entertained for years and years. does mostly other games now but he's still awesome.

https://www.youtube.com/user/pokeaimMD - one of the only two active Poketubers i keep up with. lots more focus on actual mons strategy than on "humor" or "omg assault vest everything".

https://www.youtube.com/user/coolstorybrobat - i'm sort of obligated to love brobat because he's RO in UU, but i genuinely enjoy his content (even though he has 6 minute team previews, which really focus it on the competitive aspect).

https://www.youtube.com/user/SmogonDMT - not active recently :( but good quality ps content. Also a great guy all-around, and plays a lot of UU so that's like 5 bonus points.

I was a fan of a few Poketubers who were popular when battling videos weren't so heavily produced and smothered in narration. Most of the time they just put their battles to music. This changed when Youtube got wise to copyright infringement. Plus when narration became the "it" thing for Poketubing, the music-only battling fell out of vogue and I've yet to find another battler who does it exclusively. In Pokemon terms, this was mostly during the DPPt/HGSS era and the beginning of BW.

My favs were:

https://www.youtube.com/user/Fisdunction - Disfunction was by far my favorite battler during this time. From his eclectic choice of background music to his apropos nicknames for his Pokemon, he always kept me entertained. This video is a perfect example of Disfunction at his peak. The music is almost choreographed to the battle, but still has a feeling of accidental genius. Plus he was a renowned mo' and had pretty funny commentary when he actually did talk. Looking back at the battles now they do feel a bit slow, but that's more or less from the action-creep that developed over the generations.

https://www.youtube.com/user/Mukubird - Another fun user who ended up switching to narration by the end of DPPt. His earlier videos with the funny Staravia intro were my favorites. Like Dis, he had a cool mix of music and funny nicknames. He also battled a lot of other popular Poketubers at the time.

https://www.youtube.com/user/MrFlamethrowa - This user is one I tried to emulate when I started making videos (short run, not very good.) When I saw he was able to change the backgrounds of the battles, I knew I had to get in on that. The quality of videos, like a lot of uploaders at the time, was inconsistent, however. Some of them just went too damn fast--blink and you missed a whole turn. Overall a fun channel.

There are lots of cool youtubers that hang out in the NU room nowadays, and a lot of them make videos I really enjoy :)

TheCanadianWifier puts out a lot of videos that I really like. Some really cool battles and the specials are really good too.

The Goomy has a narration style I really like, and put a video of him haxing me up :)
https://www.youtube.com/user/IAmTheGoomy/videos

iTeddeh puts out a lot of good battles too, and recently put out a teambuilding video :)
https://www.youtube.com/user/MrTeddehh

Kiyo also puts out a lot of great videos in every tier and is a good battler

Far too kind Ras :]

If I'm gonna do this right, I have to mention the man himself, MTGXerxes, who introduced me to the very concept of competitive battling, lol. Still watch him from time to time, but it gets painful due to his lack of meta knowledge.
https://www.youtube.com/user/mtgxerxes

I don't watch much pokemon anymore, but I do have a soft spot for good commentary. If you can't grab my attention and entertain me, why would I watch you?
On that note, Human Reverend has always topped my watch list for pokemon content. Pretty funny, doesn't try too hard, and posts competitive-enough battles.

no but srsly pokeaimMD, edgar, chimpact, shofu (lol), Duncankneedeep (this guy's ffas are hilarious), sometimes I watch csb, rogersbase (one piece + pokemon = awesome), and pk

all of them are hilarious, have high quality content, and/or I just like them

The Killer Nacho was terrible. Is he still going?

There was also a Slovakian guy who did gen 4 wi-fi battles. Can't remember his name, but he often nicknamed his own unique creations 'ultra 2' or another number in place of 2. And he used seals (pokeball) to spell out the Ultras. And he pronounced Hidden power like 'hide-den pow-er'.

all these newbies itt, I was making videos and watching them back in the PBR days. Funnily enough, quite a few of them are still going. My favorites were atreecko, congokong87, and Overhazard

https://www.youtube.com/user/atreecko - still making videos it seems lol

https://www.youtube.com/user/congokong87 - been ded for about as long as I have, always came up with some unique teams to play around with

https://www.youtube.com/user/Overhazard - Plays and used to play a ton of other games alongside PBR, but always loved their unique teams too

Nbz was also cool, i liked the story-like series his did w/ a team of ninjask, nidoking, arcanine, azu, some others

Competitively speaking i watch pokeaim and blunder. Blunder always does cool OU teams and i find it hilarious when he goes "that was nice n crispy" aim just has generally good content and btw hope ur grandma gets better!

-CALLOUS- basically taught me ADV via his highly informative videos, that's probably why I suck at it

also I think he's literally dead, he hasn't been on gmail in 8 months and hasn't uploaded a vid in 10 ;__;

My main is Shofu, all around entertaining and he has a good taste in music, also Fisdunction as well. The verlisify incident and the pros who came out to rebut him and stand up for smogon made me subscribe to a lot of channels such as Aim (that yan unnerving video, lel).

all of these guys provide quality content and I'm pretty sure they've all been linked about 3 or so times already so I won't bother but they give us informal insight on what higher-tier play looks like. These guys are partly what contributed to me becoming a better player and evn tho I can't join their crew ;; these guys are the people that actually let you in on all the inside jokes so they're cool in my book ;_;.

P.S. blunder is a terrible LC tutor imotbhjs

I personally for youtubers go, I only watch a couple. I was mainly inspired by Joey/Pokeaim because I actually enjoyed watching competitive battles and I enjoyed learning how to play other tiers that I hadn't really played too much of myself. www.youtube.com/user/pokeaimMD
Apart from Joey, the one I use to watch is Wilechase, he was the very first youtuber I watched that got me into the scene. I don't like his content as much anymore because he moved onto Yu-gi-oh and other games but he has to be one of my favourites. www.youtuube.com/user/wilechase
Apart from that, I don't really watch videos unless they're highly competitive... I much prefer learning from videos xD

Uutton was the man that made me start playing Pokemon

https://www.youtube.com/user/ThaSilentG/videos was another really, really early guy that I always enjoyed watching. Hasn't posted in a very, very long time but I always thought his accent was cool

Most of the people I knew are from the DPP eras; MTGxerxes, NBZ, and others. I actually became good friends with MMLFrostyPixie a long, long time ago. Haven't really kept up with anybody seriously in a good while, but I'm still subbed to xerxes.
