This will be a resource for announcing monthly official giveaways in Pokémon Showdown's Wi-Fi room.The giveaways themselves are held in the room, not on Smogon. For giveaways held on Smogon, see Smogon's Giveaway Forum.
Official giveaways are held once a month, near the end of the month. What differentiates official giveaways from other user-hosted ones is that they follow a central theme, and are put together by an amazing team of helpers led by Shahafs and WigglyTree, and featuring beautiful art from our artists, like the lovely and talented Ciran.
How do Wi-Fi's giveaways work?
Wi-Fi's giveaways are held via lottery, all you have to do is press join to enter! But keep in mind you must have a copy of Pokémon Scarlet/Violet and an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to claim your prize.
After the giveaway is over, you will have the opportunity to purchase the Pokémon you missed from Wi-Fi's Prize Shop using WP, the Wi-Fi room currency!
What is the purpose of this thread?
This will be a place to announce the themes of giveaways, as well as shout out the helpers who obtained Pokémon for them and show off the art that is composed every month for the event. We hope you all come down to Wi-Fi to participate!
For our first announcement, we will be hosting our Holidays 2020 giveawaytomorrow, December 27th. The giveaway will start at 12 PM EST and last for twelve hours.
We hope to see you there today between 12 PM and 12 AM EST to try your luck at winning these amazing Pokémon! And any you don't win will be available in the Wi-Fi Prize Shop until the next giveaway!

This month's giveaway has been announced! The theme will be Lunar New Year and it will be on February 28th starting at 12 PM EST! We hope to see you there!
This month's theme, suggested by Ciran, continues the Wi-Fi room's tradition of holding a Lunar New Year themed giveaway in the month of February. This year is the Year of the Ox, which doesn't have the broadest range of Pokémon to choose from, so many of this month's Pokémon are based on the associated element of earth.

This month's giveaway has been announced! The theme will be St. Patrick's Day and it will be on March 28th starting at 12 PM EST! We hope to see you there!
This month's theme, suggested by Argynt, is based on the Irish holiday of St. Patrick's Day. The color green is a prevalent in this celebration due to its strong ties to Irish political and religious history, which was then carried with Irish immigrants to the United States to show pride for their home country. Our third official giveaway in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will revolve around the Lunar New Year which is represented by the Water Tiger this year. This theme, suggested by SkittyAdam, features Pokémon that are related to tiger and felines and ones that have water elements.
The auspicious colors red and gold were used for luck and wealth for the new year. Gifts are usually being given in red envelopes, and therefore our art is in those colors; the Pokémon being in gold as they are being given out to you today!
