move 4: Sucker Punch / Zen Headbutt
item: Heavy-Duty Boots / Psychium Z
ability: Libero
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Bulk Up Cinderace's great Speed tier and excellent Libero-boosted coverage moves allow it to threaten a myriad of types like Steel, Dark, and Normal. Its powerful STAB moves can be used to force switches, which can be utilized as a chance for Cinderace to Bulk Up to become even more threatening. Pyro Ball is Cinderace's most reliable move, nailing Steel- and Grass-types like Aegislash and Ferrothorn, and neutral targets such as Clefable while avoiding Rocky Helmet, Baneful Bunker, and King's Shield due to its lack of contact. High Jump Kick complements Pyro Ball's coverage, allowing Cinderace to hit certain Dark-, Steel-, and Normal-types hard, such as Tyranitar, Heatran, and Porygon2. Sucker Punch provides counterplay against frailer Pokemon that outspeed Cinderace, such as Choice Scarf Latios, Barraskewda, Choice Scarf Blacephalon, Alolan Raichu under Electric Terrain, and weakened Mega Aerodactyl. However, Zen Headbutt is an alternative alongside Psychium Z to let Cinderace lure in and OHKO threats to Fire teams such as Toxapex, Mega Diancie, Urshifu-R, and Keldeo with Shattered Psyche. Bulk Up Cinderace should be used as either a mid-game wallbreaker or as a sweeper, utilizing its great coverage moves boosted by Libero in order to break through teams.

Mega Charizard X and Volcarona are both very potent setup sweepers that benefit from Cinderace getting rid of walls such as Toxapex and Tyranitar. In particular, boosted Mega Charizard X also defeats Dragon-types that threaten Cinderace like Garchomp and Mega Latias. Rotom-H is a great teammate to Cinderace, as it can set dual screens to help Cinderace set up while safely bringing it in with Volt Switch, or it can work as a Nasty Plot wallbreaker that can beat defensive Water- and Flying-types like Toxapex and Moltres for Cinderace. It also switches into Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Regieleki, but it needs to rely on Pain Split to keep itself healthy. Mega Charizard Y breaks through the physically defensive walls that can give Cinderace trouble such as Galarian Corsola and Slowbro. In return, Cinderace beats the special walls that Mega Charizard Y struggles against such as Blissey and Heatran. Blacephalon can soften up bulky Pokemon like Hippowdon and Gastrodon with its Choice Specs set or sweep late-game while wielding a Choice Scarf. Stallbreaker Heatran can trap and remove walls like Toxapex and Zapdos with Magma Storm, as well as checking offensive Rock-types like Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Nihilego by virtue of its Steel typing. Torkoal is able to set up Stealth Rock for Cinderace and provide sun support via Drought, enabling Cinderace's Pyro Ball to hit even harder. Choice Scarf Infernape is a very useful revenge killer that can dispose of threats that outspeed and OHKO Cinderace, such as the aforementioned Choice Scarf Nihilego and Greninja, while Choice Band Infernape is able to weaken bulky Pokemon like Rotom-W and Gliscor, relieving the pressure on Cinderace and allowing it to set up easier. If Cinderace is using Heavy-Duty Boots, Z-Celebrate Victini is a great teammate that takes advantage of Cinderace checking common checks to it such as defensive Heatran and Chansey. Conversely, Victini can heavily damage Pokemon Cinderace has trouble hitting effectively, such as Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, Mantine, and Tapu Fini.

[SET]
name: Offensive Pivot (Fire)
move 1: Pyro Ball
move 2: U-turn
move 3: High Jump Kick / Gunk Shot
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Heavy Duty Boots
ability: Libero
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Cinderace's great Speed tier, generous movepool, and great ability in Libero allow for an effective pivot set that can immediately threaten teams vulnerable to its coverage. Pyro Ball hits most foes decently while avoiding contact-based side effects. U-turn allows Cinderace to pivot out of the various defensive switches it forces while generating momentum and dealing solid damage. High Jump Kick targets the bulky Normal-, Rock-, and Dark-types that shrug off Pyro Ball such as Porygon2, Rhyperior, and Tyranitar. Alongside Pyro Ball, it creates a fearsome combination that hits all Steel-types in the metagame super effectively, making Cinderace a great tool in the Steel matchup. Gunk Shot can be run instead, hitting pesky Fairy-types and certain Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Azumarill, Tapu Fini, Araquanid, and Mantine. Sucker Punch allows Cinderace to revenge kill faster weakened threats like Zeraora, Barraskewda, and Choice Scarf Latias. Maximum Speed EVs let Cinderace outspeed and beat threats like Gengar, Tapu Lele, and Hydreigon.

This Cinderace set is an all-out attacker rather than a reliable sweeper or wallbreaker, so it's best paired with Pokemon that capitalize on the offensive pressure it generates. Torkoal is a great partner to Cinderace, providing sun support and laying down Stealth Rock so Cinderace can net more KOs. Choice Band Victini and Infernape are fellow pivots capable of wearing down physically defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Venusaur so Cinderace has an easier time versus them. Similarly, Mega Charizard Y breaks down some of the physical walls that annoy Cinderace like Mega Slowbro and Swampert while also setting sun for it. In return, it appreciates Cinderace breaking common special walls, like Blissey and Heatran, and forcing out some of its offensive checks like Mega Diancie. Sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Z-move Volcarona also appreciate Cinderace beating the likes of Azumarill ~if running Gunk Shot, Tyranitar, and Heatran so they have an easier time cleaning against Fairy, Dark, and Steel teams, respectively. They also benefit from Cinderace's U-turn getting them safely into the field. Volcanion is another hard hitter that synergizes well with Cinderace because of its Water immunity, dealing with Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Seismitoad while additionally KOing Pokemon such as Toxapex and Hippowdon.

Fire
--------

On the Offensive Pivot set, Court Change can replace High Jump Kick or Gunk Shot as a way to get rid of entry hazards for Fire teams, notably Stealth Rock, while taking advantage of opposing field effects such as Reflect or Light Screen. However, stripping away coverage defeats the purpose of the set, which is to immediately threaten types like Fairy, Psychic, and Dark with its moves. Fire teams also already have entry hazard removal in Torkoal and dual screens Rotom-H, making it unneeded most of the time. Electro Ball can be a very powerful niche move , OHKOing Pelipper and surprising Slowbro and Toxapex on the switch, but it doesn't do much outside of this. Choice Scarf allows Cinderace to act as a great revenge killer, outspeeding other Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Galarian Darmanitan, and Tapu Lele as well as the likes of Cloyster after a Shell Smash boost, Mega Swampert under rain, Tapu Koko, and Mega Aerodactyl. However, Cinderace suffers from being locked into one move, as its true power comes from its Libero-enhanced versatility.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fire
--------

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types like Slowbro, Swampert, and Toxapex can comfortably take most hits Cinderace throws at them and retaliate with their Water-type attacks, eventually taking Cinderace out. However, Bulk Up Cinderace can break through Swampert with a few boosts, and Toxapex must be wary of Shattered Psyche.

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Staraptor, and Galarian Corsola are all very capable of taking on Cinderace and threatening it back with status or attacks.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Cinderace's measly defenses allow any super effective moves from Pokemon like Hippowdon, Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Terrakion to easily OHKO it.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Latias can easily stomach most of Cinderace's moves and, in return, they can heavily damage it back due to Cinderace's frailty. However, certain ones like Latios, Mega Altaria, and Kyurem must be wary of. super effective coverage.

**Revenge Killers**: Fast, hard-hitting Pokemon that can survive a Sucker Punch such as Tapu Koko, Tornadus-T, Weavile, and Greninja threaten Cinderace and its teammates.

**Status**: Paralysis and burn ~once Libero changes its type from Fire~ cripple Cinderace's offensive potential. Also, Toxic puts its on a timer.

Bulk Up Cinderace can be utilized either as an mid-game wallbreaker or as a sweeper, utilizing Cinderace's fast, Libero-boosted coverage moves to threaten a myriad of types, like Steel, Dark, and Normal. Pyro Ball is Cinderace's most reliable move, nailing Steel- and Grass-types like Aegislash and Ferrothorn, and neutral targets such as Clefable while avoiding Rocky Helmet, Baneful Bunker, and King's Shield's side effects due to its lack of contact. (reworded this sentence entirely since it didn't highlight what Pyro Ball does clear enough, and removed the Sun support one as it's better in the team options paragraph) High Jump Kick complements Pyro Ball's coverage, allowing Cinderace to hit certain Dark-, Steel-, and Normal-types hard (which are the things Pyro Ball isn't as effective against), such as Tyranitar, Heatran, and Porygon2. (removed the Gunk Shot description; Gunk Shot and threatening Fairies is something better abused by the all-out attacking sets) Sucker Punch rounds out the set (movepool = entire list of moves a Pokemon can learn) by providing counterplay against frailer Pokemon that outspeed Cinderace, such as Choice Scarf Latios, Spectrier, and Mega Aerodactyl (most of the time, examples are strongly recommended to list. Feel free to change the ones I put here), thus helping Cinderace's survivability versus them. Heavy-Duty Boots is the preffered item, as it allows Cinderace to negate entry hazard damage upon switch-in, giving it more longevity to perform its roles throughout the match. However, Zen Headbutt over Sucker Punch alongside Psychium Z is an alternative to lure in and OHKO threats to Fire teams such as Toxapex, Mega Diancie, and Keldeo with Shattered Psyche. Maximum Attack and Speed EVs in tandem with a Jolly nature heightens Cinderace's offensive potential and allows it to outspeed Pokemon like Gengar and Nihilego. (most of the time, comparisons with other Pokemon/abilities aren't advised to be used in an analysis. Instead, try to give examples of what a Pokemon outspeeds/what certain move or ability achieves)
(removed the final sentence that was talking about Libero because its effect was mentioned in the start of the paragraph)

Rotom-Heat is a great teammate to Cinderace (always use the proper name; shortened abbreviations are not allowed unless they're listed in the analyses glossary), as it can either set Dual Screens to give Cinderace more opportunities to setup while being able to safely bring it into the field with Volt Switch, or work as a Nasty Plot wallbreaker that can beat defensive Water- and Flying-types like Toxapex and Moltres for Cinderace. Mega Charizard Y breaks the physically defensive walls that can give Cinderace trouble, such as Galarian Corsola and Slowbro. In return, Cinderace beats the special walls that Mega Charizard Y can't help but hate, such as Blissey and Mantine. Blacephalon also comes to mind as a partner, being able to soften bulky Pokemon like Hippowdon and Gastrodon with its Choice Specs set, or sweep late-game while wielding a Choice Scarf after Cinderace has punched some holes in the opposing team. Stallbreaker Heatran can trap and remove walls like Toxapex and Zapdos, and check offensive Rock-types like Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Nihilego by virtue of its Steel typing. Torkoal is able to set up Stealth Rock (again, do not use abbreviations) for Cinderace and provide Sun support via Drought, enabling Cinderace's Pyro Ball to hit even harder. (Infernape does not commonly run Stealth Rock on Fire teams; it prefers Choice Band or Choice Scarf, and Moltres is a niche pick on the type too. Also, you do not mention how "x" teammates help other team members on this section; keep it exclusively between what that mon does to Cinderace, in this case)

- Add Mega Charizard X, Volcarona (sweepers that benefit from Cinderace removing walls like Toxapex/Tyranitar), Infernape (Choice Band relieves pressure off of Cinderace, and Choice Scarf revenge kills threats like Nihilego), and Victini (Z-Celebrate mainly) as team options (they're missing, and they're relevant).

Pivot Cinderace is by far one of the best Offensive Pivots fire has. Reliable Fire stab, fast STAB u-turn & the signature ability to swap fields, granting fire the possibility not only benefitting from sticky web, or just the benefit of screens without the need for using them on rotom-heat, but also swapping stealth rock to provide your 4x weak partners some breathing room & sense of safety. But keep in mind: nothing is keeping your opponent from Resetting those hazards or screens, and no amount of court changing can change that. This Cinderace relies on its teammates picking up the offensive & does it's very best to allow things like Volcarona, Charizard-Mega-X, and Victini to open up & do some serious damage. (I would advise you to rewrite this paragraph following the structure of the fixed one from the Bulk Up set. Remember that, in the first paragraph of an analysis, you need to describe what the set does, how does each move help, and briefly tell about the item/EV spread. Here's an example of a good one)

As mentioned before, Cinderace's soft hazard removal is just that; You will always need something else in that department. Torkoal is the most obvious choice, being able to set sun for both Cinder & its team & only removing hazards on your side & ignoring the hazards you just swapped to your opponent. Moltres is another Good hazard removal choice, though you will have to get rid of the entire field instead of just your side, but with the added benefit of Ground Immunity & recovery options. Choice Scarf Infernape and Choiced Victini can create a Fearsome Pivot Core that applies constant pressure to the opposing team & forces many unfavorable situations. With Proper management, Offensive Threats like Volcarona and the lesser used Talonflame can run other items other than boots, allowing both to powerspike in the use of Z-moves, Life orb for volcarona, or Banded for Talonflame. Charizard-X also suffers from lacking boots, and swapping rocks onto the opposing side can aid in breaking Sashes & Sturdies, All while preserving Charizard-Mega-X's health to allow it to DD somewhat safer. The other mega, Charizard-Mega-Y, does the flipside of this, hitting targets with a boosted Weather Ball or Solar Beam & enjoying the free airspace to punch holes in anything it outspeeds. Incineroar is a sleeper Special tank that can deal with some of the common Sucker punch targets, it is also able to pivot out of unfavorable situations with parting shot, plus the bonus of running leftovers over boots thanks to Cinderace's courtchange. Alolan-Marowak under the right conditions can Compelty run through unprepared teams with its Doubled Attack & Recoiless Stabs, and Cinderace can help pave It's way with u-turns & its soft hazard removal. (Again, rewrite this to fit the standards of which teammates help Cinderace, and how can they help against threats to it and against certain matchups. The (fixed) second paragraph of the Bulk Up set can be used as a reference, and you can check a good one here)

(Adamant is suboptimal in any set, as you won't ever like to get outsped by Mega Diancie or Mega Latios. Life Orb is also not good on either set, as the power difference is largely irrelevant and Cinderace enjoys switching in and out of the field without taking recoil + entry hazard damage with Boots or having a Z-Move nuke to take care of walls) On the Offensive Pivot set, Court Change can replace either Gunk Shot or High Jump Kick as a way to get rid of entry hazards for Fire teams, namely Stealth Rock, while taking advantage of opposing field effects such as Reflect or Light Screen. However, stripping away extra coverage defeats the purpose of the set, which is to immediately threaten types like Fairy, Psychic, and Dark with its moves.

- Mention Choice Scarf as an option to provide a fast revenge killing tool that can outspeed common threats like Choice Scarf Terrakion and Latios, but state that Cinderace vastly prefers the ability to change moves.

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types like Slowbro, Swampert, and Toxapex can comfortably take any hit Cinderace throws at them and retaliate with their attacks, eventually taking Cinderace out. **Fast Offensive Rocks**: Rock Types usually have either enough bulk to live a sucker (Some can live a High Jump Kick!), or are fast enough to disregard cinder's threatening Movepool. Terrakion, Nihilego, Lycanroc, Rhyperior, and Aerodactyl are some of the ones Cinderace usually cannot deal with on it's own, and on a switchin, these pokemon usually guarentee a sack.
(I think "Super Effective Coverage" as a bullet here is a better option than just "Rock-types", as everything that scores a SE hit on Cinderace should either OHKO or deal massive damage to it. Rock-types are mostly dealt with by HJK + Libero anyways)

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Latias are able to easily stomach most of Cinderace's moves and, in return, can heavily damage it back with their moves due to Cinderace's frailty. However, certain ones like Latios and Kyurem must be wary of Sucker Punch and High Jump Kick, respectively. (reworded)

**Status**: Paralysis halves Cinderace's Speed, preventing it from performing its roles as effectively. Because of Libero's type-changing effect, Cinderace is vulnerable to burns, which cut its Attack and render it useless. Last but not least, Toxic poison puts Cinderace into a timer, shortening its lifespan throughout the match. (reworded)

High Jump Kick complements Pyro Ball's coverage, allowing Cinderace to hit certain Dark-, Steel-, and Normal-types hard, such as Tyranitar, Heatran, and Porygon2. Sucker Punch rounds out the set by providing counterplay against frailer Pokemon that outspeed Cinderace, such as Choice Scarf Latios, Spectrier, Raichu-Alola under terrain, and weakened Mega Aerodactyl, thus helping Cinderace's survivability versus them.

Mega Charizard X and Volcarona are both very potent setup sweepers that benefit from Cinderace being able to get rid of walls such as Toxapex and Tyranitar. Particularly, boosted Mega Charizard X also defeats Dragon-types that threaten Cinderace, like Garchomp and Mega Latias. (moved up as they are some of Cinderace's most relevant teammates, especially Mega Charizard X which is a S Rank) Rotom-Heat is a great teammate to Cinderace, as it can either set Dual Screens to give Cinderace more opportunities to setup while being able to safely bring it into the field with Volt Switch, or work as a Nasty Plot wallbreaker that can beat defensive Water- and Flying-types like Toxapex and Moltres for Cinderace. Mega Charizard Y breaks the physically defensive walls that can give Cinderace trouble, such as Galarian Corsola and Slowbro. In return, Cinderace beats the special walls that Mega Charizard Y can't help but hate, such as Blissey and opposing Heatran. Torkoal is able to set up Stealth Rock for Cinderace and provide Sun support via Drought, enabling Cinderace's Pyro Ball to hit even harder. Choice Scarf Infernape is a very useful revenge killer that can dispose of threats that outspeed and OHKO Cinderace such as the aforementioned Nihilego and Greninja, while Choice Band Infernape is able to weaken bulky Pokemon like Rotom-W and Gliscor, relieving the pressure on Cinderace to setup. If Cinderace is using Heavy-Duty Boots, Z-Celebrate Victini is a great teammate that takes advantage of Cinderace's coverage checking common checks to it such as defensive Heatran and Chansey. Conversely, Victini is able to heavily damage Pokemon Cinderace has trouble hitting effectively, such as Mega Venusaur and Tapu Fini.

[SET COMMENTS]
Cinderace's great Speed tier, generous movepool, and great ability in Libero also allows it to effectively run an offensive pivot set that can immediately threaten teams vulnerable to its coverage. Pyro Ball is Cinderace's best Fire-type attack, being able to hit everything that doesn't resist it decently while avoiding contact-based side effects. U-turn allows Cinderace to pivot out of undesired situations to its teammates on the various defensive switches it forces, getting them into favorable scenarios and generating offensive pressure while dealing solid damage. High Jump Kick targets the bulky Normal-, Rock-, and Dark-types that shrug Pyro Ball such as Porygon2, Rhyperior, and Tyranitar. Alongside Pyro Ball, it creates a fearsome combo that is able to hit all Steel-types in the metagame super effectively, making Cinderace a great tool in said matchup. Gunk Shot can also be run in High Jump Kick's stead, hitting pesky Fairy-types and certain Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Azumarill, Tapu Fini, Araquanid, and Mantine. Sucker Punch allows Cinderace to revenge kill faster, weakened threats like Zeraora and Choice Scarf Latias. Max Attack and Speed EVs in tandem with a Jolly nature grant Cinderace its staple speed and power, fully taking advantage of Libero to outspeed and beat threats like Gengar, Tapu Lele, and Urshifu-S.

This Cinderace set performs as an all-out attacker rather than as a reliable sweeper or wallbreaker, so it's best paired with Pokemon that capitalize on the offensive pressure Cinderace generates. Torkoal is a great partner to Cinderace, as it is able to provide Sun support for Cinderace to hit harder with its Pyro Ball and lay down Stealth Rock so Cinderace can net more kills. (removed the pivoting into physical attackers as its minor when compared to sun + rocks) Physical wallbreakers like Choice Band Victini (Choice Scarf Victini is very niche) and Infernape can be deadly teammates as well, both acting as hard-hitting, versatile pivots capable of wearing down physically defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Venusaur so Cinderace has an easier time versus them. Similarly, Mega Charizard Y is one of the most potent special wallbreakers Fire has, breaking down some of the physical walls that annoy Cinderace like Mega Slowbro and Swampert while also setting up Sun for it. In return, it appreciates Cinderace breaking common special walls like Blissey and Heatran, and forcing out some of its offensive checks like Mega Diancie. Sweepers like Mega Charizard X (mentioned instead of Blacephalon, which prefers running choiced sets on Fire) and Z-move Volcarona also appreciate Cinderace's coverage beating the likes of Azumarill, Tyranitar, and Heatran so they have an easier time cleaning Fairy, Dark, and Steel teams respectively. They also benefit from Cinderace's U-turn pivoting getting them safely into the field, potentially setting them up for a mid- to late-game sweep. (reworded; also removed the Alolan Marowak stuff because it's a niche mon) Volcanion is another hard hitter that synergizes well with Cinderace because of its Water-type immunity and rich coverage nailing Pokemon such as Toxapex and Hippowdon.

On the Offensive Pivot set, Court Change can replace either Gunk Shot or High Jump Kick as a way to get rid of entry hazards for Fire teams, notably Stealth Rock, while taking advantage of opposing field effects such as Reflect or Light Screen. However, stripping away extra coverage defeats the purpose of the set, which is to immediately threaten types like Fairy, Psychic, and Dark with its moves. Electro Ball can be a very powerful niche move when used correctly, OHKOing Pelliper and surprising Slowbro and Toxapex switch-ins, but overall it doesn't do much outside of this. Choice Scarf is an option that allows Cinderace to act as a great revenge killer, outspeeding other scarfers such as Terrakion, Galarian Darmanitan, and Tapu Lele while also being faster than the likes of Cloyster after a Shell Smash boost, Mega Swampert under Rain, Tapu Koko, and Mega Aerodactyl. However, Cinderace suffers from being locked into one move, as it's true power comes from it's strong versatility and options; limiting what you can do overall hurts Cinderace's viability.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fire
--------

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types like Slowbro, Swampert, and Toxapex can comfortably take most hits Cinderace throws at them and retaliate with their attacks, eventually taking Cinderace out. However, Bulk Up Cinderace can break through Swampert with a few boosts, and Toxapex must be wary of Shattered Psyche.

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Staraptor, and Galarian-Corsola are all very capable of taking on Cinderace and threaten it back with status or their damaging moves. (In this section, you do not need to describe how to get around a check/counter; just describing the check/counter is enough)

**
Super Effective Coverage**: Cinderace's measly defenses and lack of sustainability allows any super effective moves from Pokemon like Hippowdon, Landorus-T, and Terrakion (it's preffered to mention Pokemon that can hit Cinderace SE than the moves themselves) to cut its run short. (Same comment from the above bullet applies here)

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Latias are able to easily stomach most of Cinderace's moves and, in return, can heavily damage it back with their moves due to Cinderace's frailty. However, certain ones like Latios, Mega Altaria, and Kyurem must be wary of Sucker Punch, Gunk Shot, and High Jump Kick, respectively.

Bulk Up Cinderace's great Speed tier and excellent Libero-boosted coverage moves allow it to threaten a myriad of types (RC) like Steel, Dark, and Normal. Powerful STAB moves can be used to force switches, which can be utalized utilized as a chance for Cinderace to Bulk Up and becom eveen become even more threatening. High Jump Kick complements Pyro Ball's coverage, allowing Cinderace to hit certain Dark-, Steel-, and Normal-types hard, such as Tyranitar, Heatran, and Porygon2. Sucker Punch rounds out the set by providing counterplay against frailer Pokemon that outspeed Cinderace, such as Choice Scarf Latios, Barraskewda, Choice Scarf Blacephalon, Alolan Raichu under Electric Terrain, and weakened Mega Aerodactyl, thus helping Cinderace's survivability versus them. (Trimmed some fluff and fixed some typos.) However, Zen Headbutt is an alternative over Sucker Punch alongisde alongside Psychium Z to lure in and OHKO threats to Fire teams such as Toxapex, Mega Diancie, Urshifu-R, and Keldeo with Shattered Psyche. Heavy-Duty Boots, however, is the preferred item, as it allows Cinderace to negate entry hazard damage upon switch-in, giving it more longevity to perform its roles throughout the match while switching out freely. Bulk Up Cinderace should be used as either a mid-game wallbreaker or as a sweeper, utilizing its great coverage moves boosted by Libero in order to break through teams. Maximum Attack and Speed EVs in tandem with a Jolly nature heightens Cinderace's offensive potential and allows it to outspeed Pokemon like Gengar and Nihilego. (This bit is optional, but please remember that this statement is true for all physical sweepers, which is why I chose to remove it.)

Mega Charizard X and Volcarona are both very potent setup sweepers that benefit from Cinderace being able to get rid of walls such as Toxapex and Tyranitar. Particularly In particular, boosted Mega Charizard X also defeats Dragon-types that threaten Cinderace (RC) like Garchomp and Mega Latias. Rotom-H is a great teammate to Cinderace, as it can either set Dual Screens dual screens to give Cinderace more opportunities to setup while being able to safely bring it into the field with Volt Switch, or work as a Nasty Plot wallbreaker that can beat defensive Water- and Flying-types like Toxapex and Moltres for Cinderace. (The phrase "dual screens" is never capitalized.) It also switches into Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Regieleki, but it needs to rely on Pain Split to keep itself healthy. if it wishes to try and sustain itself. Mega Charizard Y breaks the physically defensive walls that can give Cinderace trouble (RC) such as Galarian Corsola and Slowbro. In return, Cinderace beats the special walls that Mega Charizard Ycan't help but hate struggles against (RC) such as Blissey and Heatran. Blacephalon also comes to mind as a partner, being able to soften bulky Pokemon like Hippowdon and Gastrodon with its Choice Specs set (RC) or sweep late-game while wielding a Choice Scarf after Cinderace has punched some holes in the opposing team, threatening the likes of Mega Lopunny, Mega Aerodactyl, Choice Scarf Excadrill, and Zygarde-10%. Stallbreaker Heatran can trap and remove walls like Toxapex and Zapdos with Magma Storm, and check offensive Rock-types like Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Nihilego by virtue of its Steel typing. Torkoal is able to set up Stealth Rock for Cinderace and provide Sun sun support via Drought, enabling Cinderace's Pyro Ball to hit even harder. (Weather conditions are never capitalized.) Choice Scarf Infernape is a very useful revenge killer that can dispose of threats that outspeed and OHKO Cinderace such as the aforementioned Choice Scarf Nihilego and Greninja, while Choice Band Infernape is able to weaken bulky Pokemon like Rotom-W and Gliscor, relieving the pressure on Cinderace, allowing it to set up easier. If Cinderace is using Heavy-Duty Boots, Z-Celebrate Victini is a great teammate that takes advantage of Cinderace's coverage checking common checks to it such as defensive Heatran and Chansey.
U-turn allows Cinderace to pivot out of undesired situations to its teammates on the various defensive switches it forces, while generating momentum and dealing solid damage. High Jump Kick targets the bulky Normal-, Rock-, and Dark-types that shrug off Cinderace's Pyro Ball such as Porygon2, Rhyperior, and Tyranitar. Alongside Pyro Ball, it creates a fearsome combination that is able to hit all Steel-types in the metagame super effectively, making Cinderace a great tool in said matchup. Gunk Shot can also be run in High Jump Kick's stead, hitting pesky Fairy-types and certain Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Azumarill, Tapu Fini, Araquanid, and Mantine. Sucker Punch allows Cinderace to revenge kill faster, weakened threats like Zeraora, Barraskewda, and Choice Scarf Latias. Max Attack and Speed EVs in tandem with a Jolly nature grant Cinderace its staple speed and power, fully taking advantage of Libero to outspeed and beat threats like Gengar, Tapu Lele, and Urshifu-S.

This Cinderace set performs as an all-out attacker rather than as a reliable sweeper or wallbreaker, so it's best paired with Pokemon that capitalize on the offensive pressure that Cinderace generates. Torkoal is a great partner to Cinderace, as it is able to provide Sun sun support for Cinderace to hit harder with its Pyro Ball and lay down Stealth Rock so Cinderace can net more kills KOs. Physical wallbreakers like Choice Band Victini and Infernape can be deadly teammates as well, both acting as hard-hitting, versatile pivots capable of wearing down physically defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Hippowdon, and Mega Venusaur so Cinderace has an easier time versus them. Sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Z-move Volcarona also appreciate Cinderace's coverage beating the likes of Azumarill if running Gunk Shot, Tyranitar, and Heatran so they have an easier time cleaning Fairy, Dark, and Steel teams respectively. They also benefit from Cinderace's U-turn pivoting getting them safely into the field. , potentially setting them up for a mid- to late-game sweep. Volcanion is another hard hitter that synergizes well with Cinderace because of its Water-type immunity, dealing with pokemon Pokemon such as Tapu Fini or Seismatoad , Seismitoad and rich coverage nailing additionally KOing Pokemon such as Toxapex and Hippowdon.

Fire teams also already have entry hazard removal in Torkoal and dual screens Rotom-H, making it unneeded most of the time. Electro Ball can be a very powerful niche move when used correctly, OHKOing Pelipper and surprising Slowbro and Toxapex on the switch, but overall it doesn't do much outside of this. Choice Scarf is an option that allows Cinderace to act as a great revenge killer, outspeeding other Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Galarian Darmanitan, and Tapu Lele while also being faster than the likes of Cloyster after a Shell Smash boost, Mega Swampert under Rain rain, Tapu Koko, and Mega Aerodactyl. Sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Z-move Volcarona also appreciate Cinderace's coverage beating the likes of Azumarill—if running Gunk Shot, Tyranitar, and Heatran so they have an easier time cleaning against Fairy, Dark, and Steel teams, (AC) respectively. They also benefit from Cinderace's U-turn getting them safely into the field. Volcanion is another hard hitter that synergizes well with Cinderace because of its Water-type immunity, dealing with Pokemon such as Tapu Fini or Seismitoad and and Seismitoad while additionally KOing Pokemon such as Toxapex and Hippowdon.

On the Offensive Pivot set, Court Change can replace either Gunk Shot or High Jump Kick or Gunk Shot as a way to get rid of entry hazards for Fire teams, notably Stealth Rock, while taking advantage of opposing field effects such as Reflect or Light Screen. However, stripping away extra coverage defeats the purpose of the set, which is to immediately threaten types like Fairy, Psychic, and Dark with its moves. Choice Scarf is an option that allows Cinderace to act as a great revenge killer, outspeeding other Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Galarian Darmanitan, and Tapu Lele while also being faster than as well as the likes of Cloyster after a Shell Smash boost, Mega Swampert under rain, Tapu Koko, and Mega Aerodactyl. However, Cinderace suffers from being locked into one move, as its true power comes from it's strong versatility and options; limiting what you can do overall hurts Cinderace's viability. its Libero-enhanced versatility.

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Staraptor, and Galarian Corsola are all very capable of taking on Cinderace and threatening it back with status or their damaging moves. attacks.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Cinderace's measly defenses and lack of sustainability allows allow any super effective moves from Pokemon like Hippowdon, Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Terrakion to easily OHKO it.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Latias are able to can easily stomach most of Cinderace's moves and, in return, they can heavily damage it back with their moves due to Cinderace's frailty. However, certain ones like Latios, Mega Altaria, and Kyurem must be wary of Sucker Punch, Gunk Shot, and High Jump Kick, respectively. super effective coverage.

**Revenge Killers**: Fast, hard hitting pokemon hard-hitting Pokemon that can survive a Sucker Punch such as Tapu Koko, Tornadus-T, Weavile, and Greninja threaten Cinderace and its teammates.

**Status**: Paralysis halves Cinderace's Speed, preventing it from performing its roles as effectively. Because of Libero's type-changing effect, Cinderace is vulnerable to burns, which cut its Attack and render it useless. Last but not least, Toxic poisons Cinderace and Paralysis and burn—once Libero changes its type from Fire—cripple Cinderace's offensive potential. Also, Toxic puts its on a timer.
