Welcome to the ninth edition of the World Cup of 1v1. This year, twelve teams are battling it out to see who can claim to be the 1v1 World Champions!

Rules
General Rules:
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Battles must take place on either Smogtours or Pokemon Showdown!
- Replays are required. Any win post without replays will not be counted

Substitutions:
- If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
- When making a substitution, please the host team, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware.
- Keep in mind once a player is subbed out, they cannot be subbed back into the same round, but can be put back onto the roster for next round.
- Substitutions will not be allowed in tiebreak series unless both teams agree (or TDs enforce double sub). We will be reluctant to give activity wins to those who are clearly fishing for them.

Sportsmanship:
- Note the sportsmanship infraction may be used liberally this 1v1 WC, and any unsportsmanlike conduct on the forums, in the tours games, or 1v1 discord will be grounds for an infraction.

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea incredible performances by litt11 lately
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01 this might be kaif back to his old prime of being ass
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers hype mu I think deg is focused rn and tom isn't
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist umpl teammate has been doing well in bo7 even so I have more trust
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef mishypoo prolly the best player on east roster
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia baleblaze has a higher ceiling but he could just not play well he's not super consistent
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs not a great year for mubs at all this one
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon probably the most important mu in this finals, this is heavily 50/50 but we've seen delemon lose to good bw preppers like IC and having to deal with degestine is a pain in the ass few should have to experience

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea - sorry bea I think I have to go with Litt here.
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01 - I am a big fan of Indi01 gameplay but it's sad that we got robbed of Litt vs Indi
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers - deg slotting in means that deg will probably win
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist - Mist with delemon support is strong I suppose.
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef - I do not trust Frailty in the finals after OGPL 2.
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia - 119 days until miku day also I think asia has better SM support.
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs - maybe an upset but also mubs is 0-2 so far this tour + trace should have better support.
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon - delemon almost beat aicy. enough said.

SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist my goat(ursa grr..) but yea its sv5 nd i dont see him losing
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef frailty is good but its mish
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia cant bold vs my goat goo RUMIAAA!!
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs mubs is having a rough year in terms of 1v1
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon deg pale win

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea i have been informed litteleven is apparently like that
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01 kaif has looked trash this entire tour and indi has looked good + indi is 3-0 vs kaif in tours he's gonna sweep the bo7
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers tom will survive the deg gauntlet although he had to hax lb for the victory so im not to sure actually
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist honestly this is probably more mist favoured but i do not think mist has it in him to win in finals
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef fun mu although frailty lost this 1 in pools she beat gorilaa in semis so i have faith in her ability to win vs mish
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia baleblaze has not had a good tour and rumia beat krycton so rumia automatically wins
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs both haven't had a good tour but mubs is better at 1v1 + has lost to better opponents i think
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon iron crusher had to hax delemon to win and although palestine is on fire this tour so is delemon and i think delemon is the better overall 1v1 player so she wins

If Asia wants to win kaif needs to not play like he's played all tour and he needs to lock in
 
Honestly very hype finals, most of these matches are rather close.

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea - Yeah im sorry i dont undestand this slotting. Either way Litt has been an monster this entire year and this extends to SV. Is Litt the first elite 1v1 player to also be employed? Discuss.
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01 - Impossible to bold vs indi
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers - Tom is the #1 guy to farm ppl like deg who arent that deep into sv
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist - Very mist favored imo, much more sv experience and a better sv environment
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef - Frailty nuke about to drop, I believe in her in the clutch 100%
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon - Highlight MU but with deg actually building pale cannot lose this.

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea litt might be goated right now honestly. can only think of a couple others who still play super actively and have a comparable grasp on multiple metas. (and one of them is in bw jail rn).
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01 at least theres umpl
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers Watching tom’s semis series made me think to myself “Nice, this is just a nalei series” and idt I’ve ever thought that before? the way deg builds is are also usually “this configuration of 3x brokens will struggle here” and I think tom is plenty capable of piloting his psychotic builds against that style.
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist the mist glowup has been pretty respectable, I think this is pretty even skillwise but asia sv core will just prep gap
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef max is having his best tour ever(?) and has just been stunting on everyone. his builds have been rly fun, maybe some have been a bit bailed by the badness of opposing teams but thats the game.
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia disaster gif incoming
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs just vibes, dont wanna watch oras. rooting for trace tho </3
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon most ragebaiters on a starting lu or wat. at least pale is (a little) lovable tho :)

SV 1v1 Bo7: LittEleven vs. bea: Because someone has to bold her... It will be a tough match ending 4-3 with several 10% misses.
SV 1v1 Bo7: Kaif vs. Indi01: You can't post 3 links of you winning and then lose, gotta stand on business and I think Indi will.
SV 1v1 Bo5: deg vs. fake tom numbers: deg's kinda pulling a comeback rn, huge potential to dispel the bum allegations.
SV 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs. Mist: Mist is doing very well but glitched sv can always be a surprise contender in my mind. That + no break week bonus.
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs. Mishlef: TL Bonus + Won last time + Better sorry frailty.
SM 1v1 Bo5: Baleblaze vs. rumia: I never hear about baleblaze and rumia's pretty good. Go miku
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: trace vs. Mubs: Mubs seemed to be quite inactive in teamcord last OGPL, so I give it to trace on merit of potentially more support.
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs. delemon: Delemon is not the type to be put off by degestine's in-game activities and is overall a better player (duh). I would imagine that deg is also not supporting pale as much as he could do since he has his own slot to worry about.

don't feel like giving explanations today but i just wanna take the moment to say, that i've been having fun looking at last week's wc games and am looking forward to these! rooting for everyone here i think they all deserve the wc champion title.
