Welcome to the World Cup of Randbats '24 FINALS! Our two remaining teams are both newcomers to the championship bout, and both have fire in their bellies; Northeast has finally made it to the finals after numerous years in the playoffs, and Oceania has been on a dominating hot streak for weeks. Which team will emerge victorious and claim the title of Randbats World Champions? There's only one way to find out!

Standard Tournament Procedures
Like all other tournaments on Smogon, the World Cup of Randbats will follow the general rules and guidelines. Please read them carefully. Also note that replays are required.
When spectating WCOR battles, do not ghost. Ask yourself, “Would my comment reveal information that hasn’t already been explicitly revealed in this battle?” Examples of ghosting in Randbats games include commenting on how an unexpectedly fast Pokemon must be holding a Choice Scarf, speculating how the match could be decided by a tera coinflip, etc.

For a refresher on how substitutions and tiebreakers will function, see the Regular Season OP.

I vote we scrap this and make finals a computer generated teams bo1
that's unfair for both teams who have worked so hard to get here though, they can't even control if the computer generates garbage mons? i think they should instead bring their preferred mons and face off in the ultra-competitive format called metronome!

The unviable timezone team has had a breakout year in rands, going from qualifiers to finals here and snagging multiple high seedings in rands slam as well
the only region likely to have five people in slam playoffs can tell you those two things are not that correlated :worrywhirl:
However, I still think my next-door neighbors have a slightly stronger team overall, though many series look to be close. Who will RNGesus prefer manage to eke out those close wins? We'll get to watch live this week when Europe is asleep, probably.

whether we win or lose just wanna thank the team for always having a good, light attitude & buhrito/za for allowing me on board. i started playing rands at work for about a month when noticed this tour was a thing, even tho i was pretty removed from pokemon. i was, true to my shortcomings, a completely unhinged toxic ladder idiot if you recognize my alt, but i did surprise myself and do well enough.

but buhrito allowed me on anyway & i appreciate him sticking with me when my interest in rands waned and i didnt practice once the tour started LMAO....peaking rands was actually pretty challenging & rewarding, so i hope u guys will allow me on next year too and ill try to do better no promises.
