"Worst Pokémon Ever"

I had lots of fun in VGC 2019 with Soak Floatzel in Rain Teams, partened with Thunder Tapu Koko. It also had Taunt for those annoying TR teams. Being the fastest Soak user in rain would prob make it deadly in this metagame when paired with Regieleki, if it were programmed....

I nominate Miltank, aka, the devil of all Pokémon.
First of all, it has giant titties that are really big, floppy, and COMPLETELY EXPOSED!! That’s just really gross and unsettling. Not only that but fighting against one is always such a pain (no, not only Whitney’s Miltank, every Miltank I fought in my life, even wild ones). That is why I nominate this evil and disgusting cow!!

Has everyone forgotten about shuckle: the worm infested rock. Sure, It has the best defences in the game, but it can do absolutely NOTHING. The only source of damage it has is toxic, which makes it completely walled by the steels that hit it supereffectively. Did I mention that it lookes like a worm infested rock?

Personally, I think the worst Pokémon ever is a big group: Mythicals (and some would say that's grammatically incorrect, but Pokemon is both the singular and the plural, so there). Hear me out, please.

Mythicals have always annoyed because (aside from VC Crystal Celebi, ORAS Deoxys, and the infinite QR Code Magearna) Mythicals are IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN (outside the event, of course). You can trade for them, but they always seem to be hacked, don't they? You can hack them, but then they'd be hacked. You can glitch them, but that's still kinda cheating. Since the beginning, I've hated Mythicals not because they were bad (bad design, bad movesets, which is the reason for most of the posts here), but because they were GOOD. I hated that, because I was denied the opportunity to obtain legitimately powerful Pokémon for a reason other than their rarity in the wild, and I've accidentally found a Riolu on an early Kalos Route and quickly found a Ralts in my second playthrough of Ruby, plus a bunch of others. I have no problem with that. And also, even when I do get them, I can't usually use them until postgame, since they're so high-leveled. Also, all of the Mythicals (most of them at least) look like great additions to your team, like they could be used early on. Celebi looks like one of the "Nostalgia for one of the first Pokémon I got in the game" type Pokémon. So does Mew. Meleotta looks like that late-game Elite Four wincon, and Victini looks like one of the cute-powerful first-route hard-to-find 'Mons that help later in the game, like Ralts. They all seem like they would be easily accessible and fun to use, but NOOOOO. Just had to be an excliusive event. Mythicals just infuriate me whenever I think about them, and I wish they were obtainable in more special in-game events like ORAS' Delta Episode and the GS Ball side quest. That'd make it a bit more fun.

The WORST part about it is that...I love Mythicals! Victini, Mew, Zeraora, Meloetta, they're all super cool! But I just can't get them! Most of the time, I just missed an event; worst one, though, is a story about Zarude. I got the code for it (thank you nintendo, that is so much more convenient) and I did not have Pokemon Sword. I got that code in December, and watching it expire over four months was super painful. I don't really like Zarude anyway, at least design-wise, but...ugh.

Thus ends my rant.

EDIT: Also, a lot of people seem to hate Miltank here. I personally love Miltank. It's a really good bulky physical sweeper and has a lot of cool moves, being a normal type Pokemon. Also, its Shiny is a blue cow. I see this as a hidden Star Wars reference, and you can't convince me otherwise.

Agreed. Mythicals are garbage not because you need to deal with the event hassle, but because where can you even use them?

They're little more than glorified trophies, with Zeraora being my personal most hated one because it got Plasma Fists as a signature move and we all know that Legendary/Mythical moves don't really get distributed outside of events giving them to other Legendaries.

It would be just perfect on Electivire, but noooooo, give it to the furry bait that you can't use anywhere.

Throw all of them in the trash.

Mythics should definitely go the route of BW1 Victini and BW2 Genesect. Victini was designed with the launch of BW1 in mind, so you can get it around the 3rd gym at level 15 and use it the whole game.
Genesect was "jsut" a give away, but was also designed around that. It was level 10 or 15, so you could pick it up and be set for the rest of the game.

Even if they're released later on, as many have to be to tie into the movie anyway, they should come at lower levels so you could at least feasibly use them during the game.

Particularly if they finally provide multiple save files per copy of the game (I know the Switch has this in a roundabout way but it's so much easier to have save files). Then, during the Zeraora event or whatever, fans of Zeraora can grab a level 5 one and replay through the game with it.

Celebi was also a very fun one in VC Crystal due to coming right before Kanto, and despite being Level 30 was actually very good for it. In general a lot of mythical designs are made in a way that makes them feel like reliable partners on an adventure (after all, that's the role a lot of them take in their movies), so it's always been weird to me how locked off almost all of them are. The likes of Deoxys and Darkrai, sure, but then Manaphy and Meloetta and Diancie... to me these just feel like Pokémon that I could get mid-game like Kubfu.

That actually reminds me of the Manaphy Egg!

Many may not remember this, but the original Pokemon Ranger game came out BEFORE Diamond and Pearl, and a big thing advertised about the game was being able to get an Egg that'll hatch into Manaphy when transferred over to your copy of Diamond & Pearl. How do I know this? Because that's what I did, during my original Diamond run I had a Manaphy on my team. It was a solid party member (well, as solid as a sea slug can be), it became both my Surf & Waterfall user, and teamed up well with my Infernape. Now being a Mythical I didn't try overusing it... but if my opponent sent out a Pokemon weak to water, well, "there's no kill like overkill" as the saying goes. :blobpex:

Now they sort of did this again, releasing the sequel Pokemon Ranger months before Platinum's release. Once again they gave out a Manaphy Egg so you could hatch a Level 1 Manaphy on your team. However they also had two other Pokemon you could transfer over. One was a Riolu that knew Aura Sphere and it was at Level 30, so while OP at the start of the game around Veilstone City you could add it to your team (which I wonder if that was planned because Veilstone's Gym Leader is Maylene who is a Fighting-type specialist that uses Lucario as her ace, hmm). The second was a Darkrai that was at Level 50, so sadly you'd be sitting on that one for a little bit, pretty much just before you challenge the Pokemon League (unless you feel like curbstomping Cyrus and Volkner). Now obviously it didn't have the same exact feeling as with the previous entry because you could also redeem these Pokemon in your copy of Diamond & Pearl, and if you already did the Manaphy thing in Diamond/Pearl you may not want to do it again for Platinum (which makes me think the Riolu probably should have been lower level for that reason). But, it was still an option if you were willing to wait till Platinum.

And then came out the third Pokemon Ranger months before Black & White... and completely dropped the ball. Four Special Missions this time, well, I say four but if you were like me and didn't have anyone else to play with it was three cause they locked a Level 50 Deoxys behind multiplayer (and it's not like you needed two people to play some multiplayer levels, HOWEVER for the Deoxys mission you need two because they have a door you need two switches pressed down at the same time to open! I still haven't gotten my Deoxys from that game because of that artificial roadblocking BS!). Anyway, we have yet another Manaphy Egg, a Heatran that knows Eruption at Level 50, and a Shaymin at Level 30. So some interesting choices for the upcoming Black & White, right? WRONG, cause you can only transfer these Pokemon to Gen IV games! And mind you, Guardian Signs came out a year after Platinum & few months after HGSS so unless you wanted to start a new game you'd already probably had your fill of Gen VI (though, had they done a worldwide release of Guardian Signs, it would have been released a few days before the international community got HGSS so we could have had transferred these Pokemon to it).
Thinking about, since Meloetta wasn't being given its own movie, they could have had a mission involving her instead of Shaymin and made it a special Gen V gift. Gen V was still on the DS so it's not like the hardware would be incompatible. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20 and all that.

Although it'd be on character for me to say its charizard, it doesnt really fit the title (a lot of what i hate about it is personal + overabundance of it everywhere)

I think mega garchomp would be a good candidate though.
1. Unnecessary mega
2. Design is worse than original (and i already think garchomps design is bad)
3. Worse competitively
The only good thing about is, is that its shiny actually has a difference from the main form vs normal shiny garchomp

While things like Spinda and Illumise are certainly terrible on multiple fronts, I think the Pokemon that I dislike the most is actually this thing:

:ss/Keldeo:
I despise Keldeo with a burning, fiery passion. The design is so lazy and childish. They basically plopped a design from My Little Pony into the game and called it a Pokemon. There is nothing unique or interesting about it. It's just a stock fare cutesy children's cartoon design, and it isn't even that cute.

But what I hate most about it is that they could make such a stupid-looking design so good in terms of battle. They made it the leader of a legendary trio! They gave it the best typing and stats of the group, ensuring that we all have to see it again and again in almost every metagame.

I can mostly forgive and forget bad designs if it they aren't worth playing. Spinda, Illumise, and Lickylicky are terrible designs, but generally it doesn't matter because there's no incentive to use them in a playthrough or in competitive battling. But when Gamefreak takes an ugly or stupid Pokemon and makes it better than countless numbers of your favorite badasses, it's simply aggravating. Why should My Little Pony be a better Pokemon on every level than something like Clawitzer? It infuriates me.

:ss/Magearna:
It the same vein, I also detest Magearna. Though it is actually unique and elegant in its own way, I also think its incredibly ugly and I hate looking at it. But it was the fact they made it amazing that put it over the edge. Its design screams base stats of 100 across the board. It has the same stance and vibe as all the other small, "cute" mythicals like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Victini, and there wasn't anything else introduced in Magearna's generation that already took the role. Instead, they gave it optimal stats and an absurd movepool to use alongside its amazing typing, so it's S tier in every meta.

:ss/Duraludon:
On a less passionate note, I also think Duraludon is very ugly and an incredible disappointment for the first non-legendary Dragon/Steel, which has so much potential. Thankfully, in this case they made it only good/average rather than amazing, so I don't begrudge it for anything and have been able to warm up to it to some extent.

Cabolion is the leader of the Swords of Justice.

Keldeo is an awesome design, but Duraludon is definitely very disappointing in a roster of otherwise fantastic designs this gen. I just don't get anything from it.
Hmm, you know how many people theorize Coalossal's final design was changed in order to better match its Gigantamax? I wonder if maybe the same thing may have happened to Duraludon.

Chief Designer: "We want a Gigantamax that's shaped like The Shard!"
Employee: "But what Pokemon would change into that?"
CD: "What new Steel-types do we got?"
E: "Let's see, Cufant family, Galarian Meowth family, Corviknight, Duraludon..."
CD: "Duraludon, what's it about?"
E: "A Steel/Dragon, we plan on making the Dragon Gym Leader's ace, its essentially a robotic Tyranitar as an allusion to Mechagodzilla."
CD: "Here's a picture of The Shard. Make it look more angular so that when it Gigantamaxes it makes sense it turns into a building"
E: "Should we really be drastically changing designs just to fit a mechanic that's only going to be in this generation while the base Pokemon will continue on appearing later in the series?"
CD: "Huh, good point... Make it's stats and Abilities suck so no one wants to use it."
