I'm just going to remind everyone that this thread is primarily for the project, (as princess found out I scan through this thread to gather updates). Use VM's when possible for other fun stuff. (although the meet I had with princessofmusic was totally cool).

Anyways one of the first things princessofmusic wanted was to delay this whole 'public release' which I am ok with. I'd still like to release it with the minisprites. Considering that Pokebank is delayed and I need some obscure mons from that I'll be waiting until I can get those, and then release all the sprites to the general public. This will probably mean mid January, and then we will update the public releases every month or two after that.
 
I guess this should be the final version of the animated fletchling.

princessofmusic , the legs of your QCed fletchling are good, but not the beak. =/ I can give the beak a shot, but it'll take some time to update that beak in the animation.

And before you people shout at me, YES, I WILL REMOVE THE WHITE BACKGROUND. Just waiting for qc ideas and suggestions and whatnot.
 
I saw on pokemon showdown there are still ones that aren't animated. Can someone tell me a list of those and maybe i can animate some? I also made a mega latios sprite. I know it isn't confirmed but here it is.

Sprites and things.

Some small stuff princess and I edited yesterday.



We removed the tail highlights cause that don't need it, also removed the green eyes from back of zy's head since that shouldn't be visible.



I said I wouldn't but here I am making a Pyroar back, I'm doing some line work on the female and palette for the female and then making modifications on both of them. The back does look really short but this is essentially the size of the scale of the ingame model.
 
I've been watching this from the beginning and it's really nice to see how far it's come; congratulations to all who have contributed!

I feel bad for dumping very few sprites then vanishing, so I've made a Litleo for you all because it's the new year or something.

I'm happy enough with how it's come out, but his eyes were difficult to make adequately.
If anybody has any hints for both this and anything else you notice, please help!

OK here is my final animation (of 2013) of the little puff ball known as swirlix. It came out pretty cute. Tried to make it move kind of like jello wiggling all around kind of like it was doing in that animation posted earlier. Gave it a nice hop in the air for its rare animation. Anyway, here he is!

Now that I think of it, maybe I should have done boo boo keys first and post it while saying something lame like this animation will unlock the new year (or something awful) but ah well. He is next on my list though.

Edit: oops as usual I noticed something off after posting it but I fixed it and replaced the old back animation.

Edit 2: More edits. Hey Layell can you replace that swirlix front animation with this one? noticed a stray pixel but its gone now in this one.

Lol I was planning on doing boo-boo keys xD Oh well, I'll just take litleo if its approved.

And Sleet you may want to fix litleo's eyes; its eyes look quint; one's looking left, one right.

Although it caused some problems with the back


so I fixed that, along with two stray pixels on the front







I'm also going to make the blues here just a touch lighter.




ALSO was someone still going to work on Pangoro's animation for a rare? If so let me know because I've been doing some stuff with the shiny.

Sorry about that. Thought I got rid of all the stray pixels.

And yea I do plan on working on that new rare animation eventually but its admittingly low in my list since it already has one (even though it could definitely be better) and other sprites still need to be animated but I can start working on it again if you need me to.
 
Well, Dragalge will have to do for the last sprite I made in 2013, but I can still have the first sprite made in 2014, at least in CST. (It's called Central Standard Time because its Amuricah and everyone knows that we're da best.) So, let's hear some good news to break in the new year: I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON A SCIZOR. YAY. YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.

I originally had planned to have this backsprite QC done back yesterday, but then I clocked in six hours doing it. I clocked in six hours on the front sprite too. So this QC literally took half of a day to do altogether. Even more of a reason for me to hate Scizor, lol. Anywho, brief description of the edits:

-Claws now 100% less saw-like
-Spine is now 28% straighter
-Wings now 46% more horizontal
-Legs now 13% more triangular
-Head now 33% pointier
-Statistics now nth% more made-up

Also, the front sprite's head was moved one pixel to the right off of a suggestion Typhlito gave me in IRC Chat. Totally didn't know we had one of those until three days ago.

So primary concerns on this are the shading on the white half of the two claws, as I really struggled on those. The spikes on the bottoms are kinda weird to shade with the light source, so I just went with something that looked decent. Recommendations in regards to that would be awesome. Other than that, feel free to fire away with your QC's, everyone. You wouldn't believe how much of a relief it is for me to have this off my shoulders lol. Now onto Meth Seahorse's backsprite.

princessofmusic I could have sworn Noivern was at 15 colors. Must have been either altered when other people messed with his pallet or possibly when I edited his pallet, as I might have broken a shared color. Eh, w/e. Looks good imo, and Noibat looks cool alongside it. +)
 
Just to clarify, the only animations I wanted to do were aegislash and pangoro, and its totally fine if other people want to do the same thing. But pangoro's base sprite needs further adjustments and its coming after finishing amphy's back sprite, other back sprites and aegislash's animations. LU said he was doing a number of animations of my sprites, which I'm looking forward to seeing because he's a great animator and knows gen 5 style very well.

As for my own work, its good that the deadline is being pushed back because I'm not getting hsome uuntil th 5th. Chances are i wont be getting anything done until then, though ill try.

It is true that many of these pokemon do lack animations, but be aware that many of them are still in the fine-tuning phase. princessofmusic posted recently in regards to this, and I'd recommend checking out the post. ok where did that post go, I could have sworn I read it yesterday night It's best to become familiar with the GoogleDocs spreadsheet on the first page of the thread if you're looking to try your hand at animation.

hey seleccion Im pretty sure you recolored the wrong pangoro. That one was the old version since it didnt transition very well at the the end.

(Ok I prob should redo vivilion after the other sprites have been animated)

Well Snivy we aren't done with Helio completely, although once the chart says it is ready for animation you are free to take it!

I'll put your name to reserve it too.

Quany and I also did some edits




Quany made the eyes clearer and I made sure the colours were correct.

Also Snivy for when we can start animating this, you might want to animate the shiny version and then get it recoloured to the normal so the colours don't mess up. If anyone also feels that there are some edits that need to be done I recommend using the shiny version so colours can match.

I fixed up Diggersby to have a less ridiculous perspective. If anyone loved the old super massive left ear (which admittedly looks cool), I made an alternate version that keeps it.

I think this one isn't as good, as the left ear had to be made much smaller in order to accomodate the implied large distance it has from the head.

Anyways, I like the new Mega Scizor, but I'm very dissatisfied with how the claws look. There are definitely some noticeable geometric flaws, and they even seem, well, SOFT and CUDDLY and NOT REALLY ALL THAT SHARP. Of course, I know from experience as well that getting them to look right is a literal impossibility, but I'll give some improvements a shot when I get the chance.
 
Is anyone going to make a sprite for Sticky Web? I know it's not super pertinent, but it seems weird that there isn't one when there is a sprite for Spikes and Stealth Rock.
 
Just passing by to ask if someone is on the works for a QC of Gourgeist. I'd like to give it a try but if one is already working on it, then continue on.
