warning: my post is slightly very disorganized.

neutral skarmory hits 176 speed, and the standard specially defensive heatran hits 190 speed, so there's something to add below goodra and mandibuzz. there's a slight inconsistency with the base speeds listed for tornadus-therian (you listed both 121 and 122 when it should really just be 121). also, you should add some other walls to the list besides the ones already there (unless they're irrelevant). is there a reason scolipede isn't on the list (besides the presence of speed boost)?

I posted this a while ago in the speed tiers thread. Seeing your list, you're probably still working on the slower pokemon (less than 100 Base Speed) and you might find this useful.

Oh, and if I may ask a question, why do you put base 100's with 32 Evs in the list while leaving out base 100's without Spe Evs? I get that this is WIP and that this is not complete yet, but where did you for example get the 32 Evs from? I understand it may be useful to outspeed max speed Ttar by one point, but it is by no means standard to give base 100s those Evs.

Oh, and I just noticed your first two Volcarona's need +2 to get to that speed tier, with +1 you only get to 492.

EDIT: Also, Scarf Chomp is not in the list, which it should be, imo.

No pokemon with scarves have been added yet so I didn't forget about chomp, torny t was a miscalc on the 122, scoli will be added soon, as will the bulkier pokemon, and 32 speed EVs was standard on defensive Celebi last gen (for the life of me I cannot remember what it out speeds). Volcarona was a typo. Ty both of you

ZardX's bulky DD set often runs 108 to outspeed Breloom, 120 is listed which must be for Mega Ttar, but if those 12 extra EVs are going to be invested exclusively for Ttar then it may make sense to increase it further to 136 EVs to hit 270 speed, avoiding the ties at +1 with MAero and MZam while outspeeding neutral MHeracross on the transformation turn and tying with Mega Manectric at +1. These situations aren't very common but 16 Speed EVs generally turn out to pay off more than 16 HP EVs.

I found the speed tiers invaluable in previous gens, so I thought it might be helpful to compile an updated list that is as complete as possible. Alexwolf said it would be ok to post this. Any feedback, questions or criticisms would be very much appreciated, especially any thoughts on how this list might be grouped or 'tiered'. Thanks for reading, and for any input.

i'd arrange the speed tiers like this:

tier 0 (500+; boost required)

everything above +spe scarf garchomp would fall under this category.

tier 1 (395 to 499; >max base 130 speed to max base 102 speed w/ choice scarf)

self-explanatory; this covers most scarfers and a few of the faster mega evolutions (manectric, lopunny, jukain).

tier 2 (353 to 394; >max base 111 speed to max base 130 speed)

this covers everything from max speed thundurus to aerodactyl; threats such as greninja, +1 adamant (mega) gyarados, and scarf magnezone fall in this range.

note that this is still a wip, as i still haven't completely read through the speed tiers lacerta posted yet and am just going through this based on the cut-offs for speed that i feel are most relevant.

I would certainly agree with you for the base 110 tier, however I'm unsure about the relevance of the base 130s. If I were a scarfer or boosting sweeper, I'd quite want to outspeed megalop and megaman, as a priority actually. Perhaps it would even be worth extending it as far as the base 145s or 150s? However I understand they are not as crucial. As for tier 0, I never quite understood what "boost required" meant in the BW tiers. The most common fast scarfer above Lando-T is, I think, Keldeo, though Latios is also popular. As these two can revenge and check most boosting sweepers slower than themselves, might it be appropriate for them to replace scarf chomp as the top of tier 1?

From there down, aside from possibly the +spe base 100s, I think the next most prominent speed tier is 262 with Bisharp and Breloom. As boosting priority users it may be especially important for walls and tanks to creep them, when creating EV spreads. Neutral Azumarill at 199 also has a similar effect; all base 80s worth their team slot will run 16spe for this purpose. 0spe Azumarill and Chansey at 136 are a pair that slow attackers would like to (and in the case of Dragalge, do) creep. Slowbro's tier of 96 seems important too, however as there are few pkmn slow enough to have to invest speed for this target, it may not be a great loss if this tier is folded into the one above. I'd suggest something like

Tier 1 (406 - 525; above max base 135s to max scarf base 110s)
Tier 2 (351 - 405; above max base 110s to max base 135s)
Tier 3 (263 - 350; above max base 70s to max base 110s)
Tier 4 (200 - 262; above max neutral base 50s to max base 70s)
Tier 5 (137 - 199; above uninvested base 50s to max neutral base 50s)
Tier 6 (<137; uninvested base 50s and below)

Seven tiers isn't too bad considering the large number of potential threats, and they are mostly quite evenly-sized.

yea, i'm a fan of your cut-offs for tiers 0 and 1 more than mine. to answer your question regarding the phrase "boost required", what i was implying is that you need to either have a choice scarf, an agility boost, or an ability boost to reach those numbers, since they cannot be reached by raw stats alone. as for extending the top of tier 1 to encompass the base 145s / base 150s, i don't believe that's necessary. after all, the mons that fall under this banner (mega sceptile, mega beedrill) are not as relevant to ou as mega lopunny and mega manectric. as for the boosted pangoro speed, i wouldn't add it; scarf pangoro is not particularly great.

now, would it be worthwhile to separate tier 3 into two sections with the +spe base 100s as the cut-off point?
