Hi guys, im currently testing a new Team for Wifi-Battling. Its centered around Charizard-Y and based on Valentines Guide for Zard-Y-Teams. I changed it quite a bit to make it possible for me to actually breed it^^
It works good, although i have still some Problems with the last slot....
Its peaked around 1700 now and still rising, rank 324 today :)
Pls mention that ill use this team in Wifi-Battling.
So here it is:

charizard-megay.gif

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
- SolarBeam

The centre of the team. I run Air Slash to be able to handle M-Venusaur better. The rest should be standard, it breaks enemy walls, sweeps etc...
Flamethrower > Fire Blast.....hmm im not 100% sure if its better, but that Fireblast lost me quite a lot of games.

excadrill.gif

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide

My Spinner. With two of my members having sand stream ability, this guy is definitly a beast. The speed evs are chosen to outspeed scarfed jolly Garchomp in Sand, and i run Iron Head over SD to cripple these nearby littly fairies. Its even quite bulky and can take a Hydro Pump from 0 Spa Rotom-W if needed. Overall, it does a nice job. I usually keep Hippo or Ttar alive even if theyre burned or severly weakened, cause if i get sandstorm up in the endgame excadrill can sweep a weakend team with ease, exspecially if its an offensive-based team.

hippowdon.gif

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SDef
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Slack Off

Sets up SR and handles many physical sweepers like M-Char-X, Talonflame, Pinsir etc. Toxic to win against bulkier mons that are a problem for my team like Zapdos or Mandibuzz and it also helps me as a emergency "stall-out" for set-uppers like Dragonite or gyarados who want to set up on hippo. Pretty self-explaining.

tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge

My Trapper, Talonflame/Pinsir-Check, sandstorm abuser and revenge-killer. Ice Beam as a gimmick over crunch to OHKO Landorus (T) and Gliscor with surprise, and its also useful against some dragons ;) . edge-quake for coverage.

keldeo-resolute.gif

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

Choice Specs Keldeo tears wholes in almost every team, as said by Valentine, too. I use Icy Wind over a Hp, just because im happy having a Keldeo at all, and mine has hp Ghost...rest should be standard.

latios.gif

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 4 Atk / 252 SAtk
Hasty Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Earthquake

Now using Latios here, i tried to drift away from the guide, and it just didnt work lol^^
So, ill run T-Bolt in the "defogslot" cause im lacking at other good options, maybe someone has a better idea how to fill it....well, everyone should understand the rest of the set.

EVs: 252 Spd / 4 Atk / 252 SAtk
Hasty Nature

- Earthquake

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd

The best solution to solve the menace issue is to rely on a better mixed wall breaker like Kyurem-B.

I know you don't want to hear it, but it's the truth. I too was quite sad about the Salamence nerf. I just hope that in one of the later series he gets a buff. A mega evo would be great for him.

Yeahh, youve got a point with mence...its just sad :(
But before i use that awful Kyurem-B, ill rather use chansey as a wallbreaker :P
Its just an ugly-designed legendary that has nothing to do in OU.....in my opinion.
I also tried Aegi in the 6th slot, but then i have 4 pokemon weak to Water and 3 weak to ground...

I think that you can run greninja instead of keldeo? I'm kinda new here, but I here's what I run on my greninja and works pretty effectively

Greninja @ sitrus berry/life orb
Ability: protean
EVs: SpA 252/ Spe 252/ 4 HP
Timid nature
-Ice beam
-scald/Hydro pump
-grass knot
-dark pulse

The protean STAB is really useful and it helps you check a lot of things, a STAB scald or hydro pump OHKO's most things that don't resist it

Hmm, greninja is a hard hitting special attacker for sure, but hes also frail as f***, whereas Keldeo can take some hits with ease. Also, Keldeo pressures the egg-sisters which wall greninja completly.

Imo other than the keldeo, maybe try removing the hippowdon, you already have a sand starter in tyranitar, and although very bulky, it just leaves your team more suceptible to water type attacks, so maybe shift that for something like a ferrothorn?

Thank you for your replies, but i think hippo just fits better. He checks serious threats like M-CharizardX, who rapes me if he gets up a DD...apart from that, ferro lacks reliable recovery, hippo has slack off.
My main problem is how to fill the 6th Slot, has anyone an idea which pokemon could complete my team?

I think latias can fill your last slot quite well. It provides defog support for zard and also covers your water and ground weakness. Psyshock takes care of mega saur which can prove to be a bitch for your team. And healing wish is just awesome.

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability : Levitate
EVs : 252spA / 252spe / 4spD
Timid nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish / Recover

hope i helped. Gl :)

I knew that the Latis would be mentioned^^
Thank you for your post, Latias/Latios perfectly fit in Zard-Teams, but i have just one Problem with them: I have absolutly no access to a Defog-Lati, thats why i use Excadrill.
Im not sure if i should look for a Lati if it has no Defog....

-using my bump-

Ahh, ill go crazy with that last Slot..I tried Rotom W out -> fail, I tried Salamence, first the mixed set, then the DD....-> still to frail, cant really take hits from Keldeo etc. and the mixed Set dies faster than a dead mouse because of LO, sanddamage and SR.....maybe im gonna try out a bulky DDnite, too, but my sand will break his multiscale again and again...still i have great issues with Azumarill, M-Venu, Keldeo and some other things....Latios works quite well, but there must an viable Option apart from it, too. PLS help me^^

i think you run M-Venu, I'm not really sure what set you would run, but it is so bulky and it always just kills me whenever i battle it because surprisingly not many people bring counters to it, the most viable would be an EQ from tyranitar or from some other ground Pokemon of the STAB and the only viable counter i guess is the air slash from mega char Y (?) i don't know I'm just trying to give a few suggestions :)

I already have a Mega which is the main centre of the team^^
Im trying Latios and i must say that he just fits best^^
With him im rising in the ladder now, peaked at 1717 till now, so ill just have to take that Jet ;)

Hello.
Your descriptions are too short to fit the RMT rules requirements.
I encourage you to PM me an updated version of this team with beefed up descriptions, and since you're new, to join the Mentor Program. I'll be unlocking this thread after that.

Have a nice day.

PS : Raters, do ONE SINGLE BIG RATE, please. Try to avoid multiple little posts, even if they are all helpful, it's better to put them together into one single post to limit needless flood (and it's ugly). I hope you understand.
