Grass
========

Zarude is the premier revenge killer and setup sweeper for Grass-type teams. Thanks to its Speed and bulk, it greatly improves the Steel-, Psychic-, and Ghost-type matchups. Its also an excellent late-game cleaner with a Choice Scarf set due to its wide movepool and Speed, only being outsped by a few revenge killers like Choice Scarf Weavile and Blacephalon. However, Choice Scarf Zarude has trouble breaking past physically defensive Pokemon like Porygon2 and Ferrothorn, while Bulk Up Zarude struggles with common revenge killers like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Dragapult. Zarude's coverage also makes it hard to break through some physical walls such as Skarmory and setup sweepers such as Hatterene and Corviknight, which can be threatening for Grass teams.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf (Grass)
move 1: Darkest Lariat
move 2: Close Combat
move 3: Power Whip
move 4: U-turn
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Leaf Guard
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Darkest Lariat removes Ghost- and Psychic-type threats such as Spectrier and Victini. Close Combat deals with Steel-, Ice-, and Dark-types such as Heatran, Galarian Darmanitan, and Hydreigon. U-turn allows Zarude to gain momentum, pivoting out of potential switch-ins such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Kommo-o. Choice Scarf allows Zarude to outspeed threats such as Dragapult, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan.

Ferrothorn is a good teammate, as it covers for Zarude's weakness to Ice and Fairy by taking on threats such as Kyurem and Hatterene, and it sets Spikes to wear down the opposing team further alongside U-turn. Rillaboom is an excellent wallbreaker that can deal with slower but bulkier walls such as Toxapex and Clefable, and it can pick off weakened threats such as Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Grassy Glide. Amoonguss covers for Zarude's Fighting weakness against Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu and Zeraora. Cradily is a great special wall that can take on threats such as Choice Specs Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, and Blacephalon, and it also sets Stealth Rock. Swords Dance Tapu Bulu can deal with walls such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn, improving the Poison, Flying, and Steel matchups, respectively.

[SET]
name: Bulk Up (Grass)
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Darkest Lariat
move 3: Drain Punch / Taunt
move 4: Jungle Healing
item: Leftovers
ability: Leaf Guard
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Bulk Up Zarude can become an excellent late-game wincon against bulkier types such as Steel and Normal. Drain Punch gives Zarude longevity while threatening Steel- and Dark-types such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Hydreigon. Alternatively, Taunt stops phazers and hazers like Skarmory, Toxapex, and Mantine, which is useful in the Steel, Poison, and Flying matchups. Furthermore, Taunt also stops setup sweepers like Corviknight from boosting alongside it. Jungle Healing allows Zarude to shrug off status and provides recovery. Leftovers improves Zarude's longevity, allowing it to set up and wallbreak multiple times in a match.

Ferrothorn covers for Zarude's weaknesses to Ice and Fairy by checking threats like Weavile and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and sets Spikes to let Zarude break down defensive cores of Steel and Ghost teams more quickly. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain for additional recovery, which helps Zarude set up, and checks threats like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Clefable. Additionally, it can work together with Zarude to pressure defensive cores of Steel and Poison teams with a Choice Band set. Both Rillaboom and Ferrothorn can also utilize Knock Off to remove Leftovers from Zarude's checks in Celesteela and Heatran, allowing Zarude to overwhelm them more easily. Amoonguss can create setup opportunities for Zarude with Spore, and it can cover for Zarude's Fighting weakness against foes such as Gengar and Buzzwole. Cradily is a great special wall that can take on SubRoost Kyurem, Galarian Moltres, and Blacephalon, and provides Stealth Rock. Whimsicott provides a fast teammate, cripples passive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Celesteela with Switcheroo, provides a Dragon immunity and Fighting resistance, and threatens Kyurem behind a Substitute with Infiltrator.

Grass
--------
Rock Slide may be used over Power Whip in Choice Scarf sets to revenge kill Volcarona after a Quiver Dance boost, as well as dealing more damage to Flying-types like Dragonite, Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres, but Power Whip allows Zarude to pick off weakened threats like Clefable and OHKO Tapu Lele after Stealth Rock damage. Roseli Berry or Chople Berry can be considered in Bulk Up sets to survive a Fairy- or Fighting-type lure move and remove threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Zeraora, and opposing Zarude, but the lack of Leftovers hurts Zarude's ability to set up consistently. Substitute may also be used over Jungle Healing, as it also allows Zarude to avoid status, but it reduces Zarude's longevity and ability to set up multiple times in a match.

Grass
--------
**Physically Defensive Walls**: Physically defensive Pokemon such as Celesteela and Mandibuzz take minimal damage from Zarude's attacks and threaten to chip it down.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Blacephalon, Choice Scarf Weavile, and Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos outspeed Zarude and OHKO it with a super effective move. Priority moves like First Impression from Golisopod will OHKO Zarude, while Ice Shard from Choice Band Weavile and Mamoswine can pick off Zarude if it is weakened.

[OVERVIEW]

Grass
========
Zarude is the premier revenge killer and setup sweeper for Grass-type teams. Thanks to its Speed and bulk it eases the Steel, Psychic and Ghost-type matchups, while its coverage and Attack stat make it an excellent late-game cleaner, being forced out only by opposing being outsped by a few revenge killers like Choice Scarf Weavile and Blacephalon, Blacephalon and Terrakion. (it gets forced out by a lot more than those) Zarude is, however, extremely weak to the Bug-type and prone to being forced out by Pokémon that carry U-Turn. (i'm not really feeling it honestly, this seems obvious) Whereas Bulk Up Zarude struggles to setup against Flying and Psychic teams due to this vulnerability, Choice Scarf Zarude has trouble breaking past physically defensive Pokémon like Porygon2 and Ferrothorn, requiring the support of Tapu Bulu or Celebi to break down opposing defensive cores. while Bulk Up Zarude struggles with common revenge killers like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Dragapult.

- i'd also mention how it gets walled by a bunch of common pokemon like skarm, hatterene, bulu, zapdos-g etc.

Darkest Lariat deals with Ghost- and Psychic-types, allowing Zarude to remove threats such as Spectrier and Victini. Close Combat improves Zarude's coverage, allowing it to deal with Steel-, Ice-, and Dark-types such as Heatran, Galarian Darmanitan, and Hydreigon. U-Turn allows Zarude to gain momentum pivoting out of potential switchins such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Kommo-o, allowing it to gain momentum. A Choice Scarf allows Zarude to outspeed and remove threats such as Dragapult, and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele.

Ferrothorn is a good team mate as it covers for Zarude's weakness to Ice and Fairy by taking on threats such as Kyurem and Hatterene and sets Spikes to wear down the opposing team further. Rillaboom is an excellent wallbreaker that can deal with slower, but bulkier walls such as Toxapex and Clefable and can pick off weakened threats such as Choice Scarf Blacephalon with a Choice Band set. Amoonguss covers for Zarude's Fighting weakness as it can take on Pokemon with Fighting-type coverage such as Tapu Bulu and Zeraora. Cradily provides a neutrality to Fire, a great Special wall that can take on Galarian Moltres and Blacephalon, and entry hazards in the form of Stealth Rock. Swords Dance Tapu Bulu can deal with bulky walls such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and opposing Ferrothorn, which helps in the Poison, Flying, and Steel matchup. Nasty Plot Celebi can deal with threats such as Toxapex and Kommo-o, and can help in breaking down Poison, Dragon, and Fighting teams.

[SET COMMENTS]
With a Bulk Up set, Zarude becomes an effective late game win condition for Grass teams in matchups like Steel, Dark, Psychic, and Ghost matchups. Darkest Lariat is Zarude's main attack of choice, allowing it to 2HKO physically defensive Celesteela and OHKO Galarian Corsola after Stealth Rock damage at +2. (do we have to explain this) Drain Punch improves Zarude's coverage, allowing it to threaten Steel- and Dark-types such as Ferrothorn and Hydreigon. It also allows Zarude to stay healthy while also wearing down checks like Heatran for Steel teams over the course of the game. Taunt allows Zarude to stop phazers and hazers like Skarmory, Toxapex, and Mantine, which is useful in the Steel, Poison, and Flying matchups. Taunt also stops setup sweepers like Corviknight from boosting alongside it, but the reduced coverage worsens Zarude's matchup against Steel and Dark teams. Jungle Healing allows Zarude to shrug off status from Galarian Corsola and like burns from Toxapex's and Slowbro's Scald, Slowbro, and Galarian Corsola and Toxic while also healing Zarude for a modest amount. Leftovers improves Zarude's longevity, allowing it to setup and wallbreak multiple times in a match.

Ferrothorn covers for Zarude's weakness to Ice and Fairy by checking threats like Weavile and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele which Zarude cannot handle with the reduced Speed and sets Spikes to allow Zarude to break down defensive cores of Steel and Ghost teams faster. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain that provides additional recovery which helps Zarude set up and checks threats like Choice Scarf Tapu Fini and Clefable, act as a late game cleaner, and can work together with Zarude to pressure defensive cores of Steel and Poison teams with a Choice Band set. Amoonguss can create setup opportunities for Zarude with Spore, and can cover for its weakness to Fighting-type coverage from foes such as Gengar and Tapu Lele. Cradily provides a neutrality to Fire, a great Special wall that can take on Galarian Moltres and Blacephalon, and Stealth Rock. Whimsicott provides a fast team mate and can provide utility by crippling passive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Celesteela with Switcheroo, while also providing a Dragon-type immunity and Fighting-type resistance which is useful for threats like Latios and Kommo-o.

[Overview]
- Thanks to its Speed and bulk it eases the Steel, Psychic, (AC) and Ghost-type matchups, while its coverage and Attack stat make it an excellent late-game cleaner, only being outsped by a few revenge killers like Choice Scarf Weavile and Blacephalon. [Is late-game cleaner the correct terminology because this sentence doesn't seem to address either Scarf or Bulk Up, it's more in a general sense. I don't really like the term "ease" in this sentence also. I think supports or a lighter word (like support/aid) seems better because Choice Scarf Zarude makes progress after Knock Off does its think and you clean and check Choice Scarf Heatran. Bulk Up fell off a tad with CB Melmetal / Scarf Heatran but its not unviable of course. We should definitely establish a flow and separate Choice Scarf and BU.]

[Scarf]
- A Choice Scarf allows Zarude to outspeed and remove threats such as Dragapult and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan. [Choice Scarf Tapu Lele is a very important example.]

- Rillaboom is an excellent wallbreaker that can deal with slower, but bulkier walls such as Toxapex and Clefable and can pick off weakened threats such as Choice Scarf Blacephalon with a Choice Band set. [Is Choice Band picking off KOes or is it Grassy Glide. Specifying sets is really only needed in specific situations like DD Kyurem and Specs Kyurem, one doesn't really check Tapu Fini and the other does.]

- Cradily is a provides a neutrality to Fire, a great Special wall that can take on threats such as Galarian Moltres and Blacephalon, and entry hazards in the form of Stealth Rock. [I think its fire neutrality is good but special wall is enough honestly. its not like cradily is doing anything to physical fire types (besides surviving a v create from victini barely but even then if they sack there tini to card that is just a bad play...lol. Specifying "entry hazards" is fluff when Cradily only has access to Stealth Rock. This paints a picture in the readers head that Cradily can learn Spikes/Toxic Spikes but it chooses to just run Rocks but its actually not true]

- Celebi sucks remove lol.

[Bulk Up]
- With a Bulk Up set, Zarude becomes an effective late game win condition for Grass teams in matchups like Steel and Ghost. [This sounds Overview-ish. Its moreso in a general sense saying what the entire set does and if you mention this in its own line in the Overview, it wouldn't be necessary to have it here.]

[OO]
Mention Chople+Roselia Berry and Substitute in OO

[Overview]

" Zarude's coverage is also resisted by some physical walls such as Skarmory and setup sweepers such as Hatterene and Tapu Bulu, which can be threatening for Grass teams. " Skarmory isn't necessarily a resist. I'd generalize this and say that its coverage simply makes it hard to get past these pokemon. I wouldn't say Tapu Bulu is a huge threat to grass teams either. Tapu Bulu is either in the mirror or it's the Fairy mu and its hard walled by Amoonguss w/ HDB so it's also not the best example. Corvknight is a better example here.

[Set 1]
"move 4: U-Turn" U-turn doesn't have a capital letter T.

Choice Scarf Zarude is the premier revenge killer for Grass-type teams, due to its extensive coverage and above average Speed tier, greatly improving Psychic and Ghost matchups. [I usually don't like the introduction line here but its fine since this has two sets. But this line should not sound exactly like the first like in the overview. "premier revenge killer" id just change the word selection mainly]

Close Combat improves Zarude's coverage, allowing it to deals with Steel-, Ice-, and Dark-types such as Heatran, Galarian Darmanitan, and Hydreigon.

U-Turn (see comment above) allows Zarude to gain momentum pivoting out of potential switchins such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Kommo-o.

"Cradily is a great Special (no capital letter) wall that can take on threats such as Galarian Moltres and Blacephalon, and entry hazards in the form of Stealth Rock." Saying "entry hazards" when it has only one form of entry hazard is fluff, just saying "provide sr support" is enough for rocks.

" Swords Dance Tapu Bulu can deal with bulky walls such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and opposing Ferrothorn, which helps in improving the Poison, Flying, and Steel matchups, respectively."

[Set 2]
"With a Bulk Up set, Zarude becomes an excellent late game wincon against bulkier types such as Steel and Normal."

"Drain Punch improves Zarude's coverage, allowing it to gives Zarude longevity and threatens Steel- and Dark-types such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Hydreigon. It also allows Zarude to stay healthy while also wearing down checks like Heatran for Steel teams over the course of the game." Try being straight to the point so you use less lines, a dedicated line explaining drain punch isn't super required but the health drain is notable.

"Alternatively, Taunt allows Zarude to stop phazers and hazers like Skarmory, Toxapex, and Mantine, which is useful in the Steel, Poison, and Flying matchups."

"Furthermore, Taunt also stops setup sweepers like Corviknight from boosting alongside it, but the reduced coverage worsens Zarude's matchup against Steel and Dark teams."

"Jungle Healing allows Zarude to shrug off status like burns from Toxapex, Slowbro, and Galarian Corsola and Toxic." Just generalize this to status ailments in general.

[Set 2 Teammates]
- Knock Off needs to be mentioned on Rillaboom & Ferrothorn for crippling Heatran/Celes to help Zarude break past them easily. This is kinda wanna differentiates BU teammates from Scarf. Yes Knock Off is useful but running K/O on 1-2 mons is crucial to allow this particular set to perform with flying colours in those mus.

- Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain that provides additional recovery which helps Zarude set up and checks threats like Choice Scarf Tapu Fini and Clefable, act as a late game cleaner, and can work together with Zarude to pressure defensive cores of Steel and Poison teams with a Choice Band set. [Tapu Fini listed in these examples feel really odd]

- Amoonguss can create setup opportunities for Zarude with Spore, and can cover for its weakness to Fighting-type coverage from foes such as Gengar and Tapu Lele. [I wouldn't say Amoonguss checks Tapu Lele. Like the Amoonguss has to be running a Psychic berry. I feel like there are better examples for Amoonguss like Buzzwole and etc.]

- Cradily is a great Special wall that can take on Galarian Moltres and Blacephalon, and entry hazards in the form of Stealth Rock. [Substitute Kyurem+Specs Zapdos should be added to either section 1 or section 2 depending on if those examples are used or not in those section. Preferably in the one where x is least/not mentioned]

- id just say whimsicott checks drag/fightings (the resist part can be cut out). Infiltrator is also notable for sub kyurem

Let's separate this into two different sentences.

[set comments]

Choice Scarf Zarude is an excellent revenge killer for Grass-type teams, due to its extensive coverage and above average Speed tier, greatly improving Psychic and Ghost matchups. I keep rereading over this sentence and its just repeating what you're saying in the overview. mention its coverage briefly in the overview. I was considering merging what scarf foes but like that's not needed. Darkest Lariat deals with Ghost- and Psychic-types, allowing Zarude to remove threats such as Spectrier and Victini. Close Combat deals with Steel-, Ice-, and Dark-types such as Heatran, Galarian Darmanitan, and Hydreigon. U-turn allows Zarude to gain momentum pivoting out of potential switchins such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Kommo-o. I'd change the word threaten to smthn else. Like RS is nice for g-moltres but i think something related to "doing more damage to" these mons sounds better since its generalized.

2/2 thx, make sure to proofread. i seem some things like missing dashes in-between "Dark-, Flying-, and Bug-types" etc etc

Amoonguss covers for Zarude's Fighting weakness as it can take on Pokemon with Fighting-type coverage such as Tapu Bulu and Zeraora. Cradily is a great special wall that can take on threats such as Choice Specs Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, and Blacephalon, and sets Stealth Rock. Swords Dance Tapu Bulu can deal with bulky walls such as Galarian Weezing, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn, improving the Poison, Flying, and Steel matchups, respectively.

Bulk Up Zarude becomes an excellent late game wincon against bulkier types such as Steel and Normal. Drain Punch gives Zarude longevity and while simultaneously threatens threatening (Jungle Healing is also for longevity.) Steel- and Dark-types such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Hydreigon. Alternatively, Taunt allows Zarude to stop phazers and hazers like Skarmory, Toxapex, and Mantine, which is useful in the Steel, Poison, and Flying matchups. Furthermore, Taunt also stops set-up (AH) sweepers like Corviknight from boosting alongside it, but the reduced coverage worsens Zarude's matchup against Steel and Dark teams. Jungle Healing allows Zarude to shrug off status and is a form of recovery. Leftovers improves Zarude's longevity, allowing it to setup set up and wallbreak multiple times in a match.

Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain that provides additional recovery which helps Zarude set up and checks threats like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Clefable and can work together with Zarude to pressure defensive cores of Steel and Poison teams with a Choice Band set. Both Rillaboom and Ferrothorn can also utilize Knock Off to remove Leftovers from Zarude's checks in Celesteela and Heatran, allowing Zarude to overwhelm them more easily. Amoonguss can create setup set up opportunities for Zarude with Spore, and it can cover for its Zarude's (If you dislike these changes, just remove the comma instead.) weakness to Fighting-type coverage from foes such as Gengar and Buzzwole. Cradily is a great special wall that can take on SubRoost Kyurem, Galarian Moltres, (AC) and Blacephalon, and provides Stealth Rock. Whimsicott provides a fast team mate teammate and can provide utility as it cripples passive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Celesteela with Switcheroo, provides a Dragon-type immunity and Fighting-type resistance, and threatens Kyurem behind a Substitute with Infiltrator.

Rock Slide may be used over Power Whip in Choice Scarf Sets as it allows Zarude to revenge kill Volcarona after a Quiver Dance boost, while also allowing Zarude to deal more damage to Flying-types like Dragonite, Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres, but Power Whip allows Zarude to pick off weakened threats like Clefable and OHKO Tapu Lele after Stealth Rock damage. Roseli Berry or Chople Berry can be considered in Bulk Up sets as it allows Zarude to survive a Fairy- or Fighting-type move lure and remove threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Zeraora, and opposing Zarude, but the lack of Leftovers hurts Zarude's ability to setup consistently. Though, I wanna ask about this:

I don't quite understand it ;w;
"lure move" is just how you say that idea; a "move lure" isn't a thing

(for a deeper explanation, the first move in both phrases serves as the adjective. its not normal to fix the adjective "move" to the noun "lure" because almost all lures are moves. that'd be kinda like saying "Zarude is a Pokemon threat"; all threats are pokemon, so "pokemon" doesn't make sense there.
