1v1 Zeraora [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]
Zeraora's incredibly high Speed and access to moves like Fake Out, Bulk Up, Charge, Outrage, Thunder, and its signature move Plasma Fists allow it to win matchups against Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Mega Charizard Y, non-Choice Scarf Greninja, and Mega Charizard X. Additionally, Zeraora is the most viable fast Electric-type in the 1v1 metagame, blessed with a lack of competition and a unique niche. Furthermore, despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible and is complemented by a decent defensive typing, with pure Electric-types having only a sole weakness in Ground, and access to Bulk Up and Charge to boost either defense. Because of Zeraora's large set of viable moves, it has many other options that it can use to fit its team; it can also get a lot of power by holding an Electrium Z and powering up its Plasma Fists or Thunder into Gigavolt Havoc, which can be further increased in damage by Bulk Up or Charge. Furthermore, Plasma Fists in combination with Zeraora's ability Volt Absorb grants it an immunity to Normal-type attacks from slower Pokemon such as Normalium Z Meloetta. However, its unboosted Attack and Special Attack are not stellar, and Zeraora loses to threats such as Mega Venusaur, Tapu Bulu, and Zygarde because of its only passable offenses and mediocre defenses.

Moves
========
Plasma Fists and Gigavolt Havoc are used to beat most Water-types, Flying-types, and frail Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Primarina, Mega Charizard Y, non-Choice Scarf Greninja, and Normalium Z Porygon-Z. Outrage is mainly for Dragon-types such as Mega Charizard X, Haxorus, and Naganadel, but it can be used to hit many foes that don't resist it because of the inherent synergy between Electric- and Dragon-type moves. Bulk Up is both to boost Zeraora's damage output and reduce damage taken from physical attacks. The most specific attack it helps Zeraora take is Mega Charizard X's Dragon Dance-boosted Outrage, but it can also help with slower Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados. Fake Out is not only a little bit of practically free damage to secure what would normally be damage rolls, but it also potentially scouts Charizard's Mega Evolution and breaks non-Ground-type Sturdy Pokemon like Carracosta and Sawk. It can also break Dragonite's Multiscale, allowing Zeraora to win against non-Dragonium Z variants. Charge doubles Gigavolt Havoc's damage and helps against special attackers because of the extra Special Defense it provides. Offensive Mew, Heatran, and Genesect require both the Special Defense increase from Charge as well as a boosted Gigavolt Havoc in order to be beaten.

Set Details
=========
48 HP and 120 Defense EVs allow Zeraora to survive a Jolly Mega Charizard X's Outrage. 88 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature let it outspeed non-Choice Scarf Greninja. 252 Attack EVs help it hit as hard as possible to prevent unnecessary damage rolls against foes such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X.

Usage Tips
========
Unless Zeraora can OHKO the foe or the foe cannot OHKO Zeraora before it 2HKOes, set up Bulk Up against Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados or Charge against Pokemon like offensive Mew, Heatran, and Genesect first to both raise Zeraora's own damage output on the following turn and ensure its survival. Keep in mind that against Dragonite, it is better to use Gigavolt Havoc rather than Outrage after using Fake Out and Bulk Up. However, Zeraora will lose to Dragonium Z Dragonite. Do remember to predict whether the opponent has a Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y, because against Mega Charizard X, Zeraora will have to use Bulk Up, while if it is Mega Charizard Y, Zeraora will need to use Gigavolt Havoc. Zeraora should be sent out against the aforementioned Flying- and Water-types, certain Dragon-types such as Haxorus and Mega Charizard X, and Pokemon without a way to effectively hit it like Magnezone and Normalium Z Meloetta. Fake Out should be used against practically everything except Tapu Lele and Mew; Tapu Lele will simply block it with Psychic Terrain, and Mew might get a Defense boost from Kee Berry, removing almost all chances of victory.

Team Options
========
Bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro can beat Ground-types such as Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-T as well as Dragonium Z Dragonite. In return, Zeraora will help beat Pokemon that threaten them such as opposing Tapu Fini, Mega Charizard Y, and Magnezone. Bulky offense Pokemon like Dragonite, Magearna, and Mega Swampert can tank attacks from hyper offense Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, Choice Scarf Garchomp, and Pheromosa. In return, Zeraora will shut down wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Carracosta, and Tapu Fini. Wallbreaking Pokemon like Aegislash, Victini, and Hoopa-U can break through Pokemon that are too bulky for Zeraora to handle such as Mega Mawile, Mega Venusaur, bulky Tapu Lele, and Magearna; in return, Zeraora will help beat faster or harder-hitting Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and Volcarona.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Plasma Fists should be used against Pokemon with lower Defense than Special Defense, such as a Magearna that has used Calm Mind. Conversely, Thunder should be used against Pokemon with lower Special Defense than Defense, such as a Magearna that has used Iron Defense. Charge allows Zeraora to beat Tapu Lele, Magearna, Mew, and other special attackers with its Special Defense boost in addition to its doubling of the following turn's Gigavolt Havoc damage. Fake Out is needed to help any potential damage rolls such as against Mega Gyarados. As this set does not have very heavy investment in either offense, it needs the extra damage from Fake Out to ensure wins. It also breaks Sturdy from Pokemon like Carracosta, Crustle, and Sawk.

Set Details
=========
60 Attack EVs guarantee an OHKO on Fairium Z Magearna after a Charge boost even when Magearna uses Calm Mind. 168 Special Attack EVs ensure an OHKO after Fake Out on bulky Mega Gyarados. 128 Special Defense EVs allows Zeraora to always survive bulky Tapu Lele's Shattered Psyche after a Charge boost. Finally, 152 Speed EVs let Zeraora outspeed Mega Gengar and other base 130 Speed Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========
This Zeraora should be sent out against the regular Water- and Flying-types like Tapu Fini and Mega Charizard Y, as well as against Tapu Lele, Magearna, and other special attackers. Because Charge boosts the damage of both Zeraora's STAB moves, it is effective against Pokemon that can boost either defense like the aforementioned Magearna and Tapu Lele. Always target the weaker effective defense; for example, even though Mega Gyarados's base Special Defense is higher than its Defense, because of Gyarados's Intimidate, Zeraora should use Gigavolt Havoc from Thunder. Remember to not use Fake Out against Mew or Tapu Lele, because Mew rather commonly holds Kee Berry, and Tapu Lele will simply block it with Psychic Terrain; use Charge instead. Keep in mind that if the Tapu Lele is an offensive set rather than the more common bulky variant, Zeraora will need to use Electrium Z-boosted Plasma Fists immediately. It also beats almost all Sableye sets, with even the most physically bulky having a 50% chance to be OHKOed by a Charge-boosted Gigavolt Havoc from Plasma Fists. Some stall Pokemon like Type: Null and Whimsicott cannot be defeated by mixed Zeraora, for it just does not do enough damage.

Team Options
========
Physically bulky special attackers like Genesect, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro can beat Ground-types such as Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. In return, Zeraora will help beat opposing bulky special attackers such as Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Magnezone. Bulky offensive Pokemon like Dragonite, Magearna, and Mega Swampert can tank hits from faster foes such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, and Pheromosa; in return, Zeraora will shut down wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y, Carracosta, and Tapu Fini. Wallbreakers of your own like Aegislash, Victini, and Hoopa-U can break through Pokemon that are too bulky for Zeraora to handle such as Mega Mawile, Mega Metagross, and Mega Venusaur, while Zeraora will help them beat faster or harder-hitting Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados and Volcarona. Mixed Zeraora will need versatile Water-type teammates like Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Greninja to beat Dragon-types like Mega Charizard X, Zygarde, Haxorus, and Dragonite. Keep in mind that Choice Scarf Haxorus will beat Greninja, and physical Flyinium Z Dragonite will usually beat Primarina and Tapu Fini. In return, Zeraora will defeat Pokemon like Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Magnezone.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========
192 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature can be run to beat Mega Lopunny at the cost of some damage rolls if the team requires Zeraora to deal with this rather important threat. Additionally, an Adamant nature can be run to further boost damage to increase chances in damage rolls. Taunt can be used in order to beat stall Pokemon such as Type: Null and Mega Audino. However, this will sacrifice matchups against Dragon-types such as Mega Charizard X and Haxorus. A Life Orb set with attacks like Plasma Fists, Outrage, Grass Knot, Close Combat, and Fake Out allows Zeraora to beat Pokemon such as Donphan and Golem while retaining the Mega Charizard X matchup and beating all but the most physically bulky Dragonite. However, this has a large drawback in not being able to beat Mega Gyarados reliably. A Choice Band set with moves such as Plasma Fists, Outrage, Close Combat, Fire Punch, and Iron Tail allows Zeraora to bring an additional physical coverage move over Life Orb, because of the absence of Fake Out, and beat Kommo-o more reliably, with Iron Tail beating Fairy-types such as Gardevoir, most Tapu Lele, and Clefable. However, this set also has struggles with Mega Gyarados. Dragonium Z can be run to guarantee a win against Dragon-types like Kommo-o, Dragonite, and Mega Charizard X and Y while simultaneously greatly assisting against opposing Zeraora.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-types like Zygarde and Donphan shrug off Outrage and in return OHKO Zeraora with super effective STAB moves.

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Scarf users or faster Pokemon such as Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Pheromosa will simply outspeed and OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk.

**Bulky Offense**: Bulky hard-hitting Pokemon not hit super effectively such as Mega Mawile, Mega Tyranitar, and Aegislash will take Zeraora's hit and proceed to KO Zeraora with a strong attack.

**Stall**: Pokemon such as Whimsicott and Umbreon will just outstall Zeraora while wearing it down. Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn do this especially well thanks to their Electric resistance.

**Trace**: Gardevoir will Trace Zeraora's Volt Absorb to be immune to Plasma Fists and Thunder while also not being affected by Outrage because of its Fairy typing, leaving Zeraora with no way of dealing damage. Trace Porygon2 similarly can tank Outrage with its sheer bulk.

[OVERVIEW]

-Zeraora's incredibly high speed and access to moves such as Fake out, Bulk up, Taunt, Charge, Outrage and its signature move, Plasma Fists, allows it to win many matchups Provide some examples of high-ranking and/or common mons that Zeraora reliably beats with its common sets here.

-Zeraora is the only fast physical electric type that a player could feasibly run with Tapu Koko banned, giving it a unique niche

-Despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible with electric's sole weakness being ground

-Because of Zeraora's rather diverse movepool, it can swap around its moves to beat certain matchups if needed

-Zeraora can get a lot of power by running an Electrium Z and powering up its Plasma Fists into Gigavolt Havoc, which can be further increased in damage by bulk up or charge

-Although very usable, its attack and special attack are not stellar

-Towards the end, you should bring up high-ranking and/or common threats that Zeraora loses to, because of its inherent flaws, between not having the greatest bulk in the world and not having the nuking power like many other pokemon do. Notable examples to include would be Metagross-Mega, Venusaur-Mega, Aggron-Mega, and more.

Moves
========
-Plasma Fists is obviously the STAB electric type move that will become Gigavolt Havoc State what Plasma Fists and its Z-move help you with, in terms of metagame coverage. You don't even have to bring up particular mons for the main STAB move, you can just say that it clears out Water types, Flying types, and generally frail Pokemon.
-Outrage is mainly for dragons such as Mega Charizard X, but it hits many thing unresisted because of its dragon typing Be sure to make it clear that Outrage is good coverage on Zeraora because of how it complements its Electric STAB by dealing better damage to Electric resists.
-Bulk up is both to boost damage and reduce damage. The most specific matchup for bulk up is Mega Charizard X's Dragon Danced Outrage Are there any other matchups where Bulk Up helps? If so, make sure to bring them up in this section.
-Fake Out is not only a little bit of practically free damage, but it also breaks Dragonite's Multiscale and Carracosta's Sturdy Get as many examples for what Fake Out helps for as you possibly can. Mattering for just two mons isn't really going to sell it very well.
-Charge doubles Gigavolt Havoc's damage and helps against special attackers such as Tapu Lele and Mew Make sure it's made clear that Charge helps for special attackers because of the Special Defense increase it provides, as well as providing specific scenarios for where you would actually need to have a Charge boosted Z-move in order to win.

Set Details
=========
-140 Defense allows for a Bulk Upped Zeraora to survive a 252 Attack Dragon Danced Mega Charizard X's Outrage 93.7% of the time Would it absolutely ruin any particular matchups to bring this up to a 100% live chance?
-116 Speed is to outspeed Jumpluff
-252 Attack Adamant is obviously just to hit as hard as possible this is very vague. Hitting as hard as possible isn't so bad, but you still need to provide examples of what it needs all that power for.
-Alternatively 176 Atk 140 Def 192 Spe Jolly can be run to beat Mega Lopunny and Greninja keep alternative spreads in Other Options. You always want the focus to be on the most optimal spread that has the widest metagame coverage.

Usage Tips
========
-Unless either you can OHKO or they can't OHKO before you 2HKO Bulk Up or Charge first to both raise your own damage and ensure your survival Make it more clear that Bulk Up is to be used against physical attackers like Gyarados, Zard X, and Dragonite, while Charge is to be used against special attackers that you don't naturally OHKO, like Aegislash and Heatran.
-Do remember to predict whether the opponent has a Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y, because if it is an X you will have to Bulk Up while if it is a Y you will need to Plasma Fists
-Note that Fake Out can help tell which Mega form a Charizard is
Replace Plasma Fists with Z-Plasma Fists. The bit about being able to scout Zard forms with Fake Out should be included in the section above, since both sections pertain to dealing with the Charizards.
-Make it clear what the Zeraora set is ideal to use against, so that people will know when to send it out. Make sure you focus on just the main set provided up above.

Team Options
========
-Pokemon like Mega Gyarados that can beat Ground Types such as Donphan and Landorus Therian Provide more examples of Ground type threats and mons that beat said Ground type threats.
-Pokemon like Dragonite that are bulky enough to tank opponents that are faster than Zeraora such as Scarf Porygon Z and Pheromosa Provide more examples of mons that are faster than the above Zeraora set, as well as more mons that can deal with said faster mons.
-Pokemon like Aegislash that can break through Pokemon that are too bulky for Zeraora to handle such as Mega Mawile, Metagross, and Venusaur More examples of each
-Pokemon that can beat Gardevoir (this is a very specifc matchup because of trace and the fairy typing) Because of how specific this is, I'd suggest just leaving it in Checks and Counters
-With each of the sections above, make sure you also provide instances where Zeraora also helps cover the weaknesses of pokemon you're pairing it with

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
-Replacing Outrage with Taunt and Adamant 32 Hp 252 Atk 224 Spe to rely solely on Gigavolt Havoc to deal damage sacrifices certain matchups such as
Mega Charizard X and Dragonite to bring Taunt But what is Taunt useful for? What does that spread do for you?
-Life Orb with Lonely/Naughty nature, 252 Atk, 32 SpA, and 224 Spe, Plasma Fists, Outrage, Grass Knot, and Fake Out allows Zeraora to beat Pokemon such as Donphan and Swampert while retaining the Mega Charizard X and Dragonite matchups
-Choice Band with Adamant 32 Hp, 252 Atk, 224 Spe, Plasma Fists, Outrage, Close Combat/Fire Punch, and Iron Tail allows Zeraora to bring an additional physical coverage move over life orb, because of the absence of Fake Out. Iron tail can be used to beat fairies such as Gardevoir, most Tapu Lele, and Mega Diancie
-Mixed Electrium with Rash 140 Atk, 252 SpA, 116 speed, Thunder, Plasma Fists, Outrage, and Bulk Up can be used to beat physical tanks such as Mega Slowbro
-Dragonium can be run to guarantee a win against dragons like Kommo-o and what else and greatly assists against other Zeraora

Checks and Counters
===================
-Bulky Ground types like Zygarde and Donphan (without Grass Knot) that shrug off outrage and in return OHKO Zeraora with super effective ground type moves
-Choice Scarves or faster Pokemon such as Porygon Z will simply outspeed and then OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk
-Bulky hard hitting Pokemon not hit super effectively such as Mega Mawile will take Zeraora's hit then proceed to faint Zeraora with a strong attack more examples
-Overly Bulky Stall Pokemon such as Slowbro (without mixed) will just stall out Zeraora while wearing it down more examples
-Gardevoir (without iron tail) will trace Zeraora's Volt Absorb to be immune to Plasma Fists and not before affected by Outrage, leaving Zeraora with no way of dealing damage

An important note regarding formatting is that smogon has actual bullets you can use. You can make things bulleted by highlighting the text you wish to bullet, selecting the option at the top of the text box labeled "List" and selecting the option labeled "Unordered List"; this will automatically make your highlighted text bulleted, rather than having to put a dash at the beginning of each line as you've done here.
Once you've edited in all the changes I suggested, that'll be QC 1/3 (which you would have to edit so that the title of the thread shows the 1/3 completion).

Feel free to discuss any of the changes I suggested here, if you're not sure about something c:

  • Zeraora's incredibly high speed and access to moves such as Fake out, Bulk up, Taunt, Charge, Outrage and its signature move, Plasma Fists, allows it to win many matchups against Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Greninja, and Charizard
  • Zeraora is the only fast physical electric type that a player could feasibly run with Tapu Koko banned, giving it a unique niche Tapu Koko being banned isn't relevant to Zeraora. Mention instead that it's the only viable physical electric type in 1v1 or something to that effect
  • Despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible with electric's sole weakness being ground It presently sounds as though it's bulk is not horrible because it's only weak to ground. Separate the two clauses (bulk and ground weakness) with "and"
  • Because of Zeraora's rather diverse movepool, it can swap around its moves to beat certain matchups if needed
  • Zeraora can get a lot of power by running an Electrium Z and powering up its Plasma Fists into Gigavolt Havoc, which can be further increased in damage by bulk up or charge
  • Although very usable, its attack and special attack are not stellar
  • Zeraora's signature move Plasma Fists in combination with its ability Volt Absorb grants it an psuedo immunity to normal type attacks
  • Zeraora loses to threats such as Mega Venusaur, Mega Aggron, Mega Metagross and Zygarde because of its only usable offenses and mediocre defenses It doesn't lose to Metagross with much consistency. Remove this. 3 examples is enough, anyways

Moves
========
  • Plasma Fists is the STAB electric type move that will become Gigavolt Havoc. It will beat most water types, flying types, and frail Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Primarina, Mega Charizard Y, and Jumpluff
  • Outrage is mainly for dragons such as Mega Charizard X, Dragonite, and non-scarf Garchomp but it hits many thing unresisted because of its dragon typing. Dragon is only resisted by steel and does not affect fairy; both are hit neutrally by electric It loses to almost every Garchomp, is by no means a guarantee of beating Dnite, and hitting things neutrally isn't particularly useful bar immunities to electric. Current description makes it sound better than it is
  • Bulk up is both to boost damage and reduce damage. The most specific matchup for bulk up is Mega Charizard X's Dragon Danced Outrage, but it can also help with slower Pokemon such as Dragonite (with fake out) and Mega Gyarados
  • Fake Out is not only a little bit of practically free damage to secure what would normally be damage rolls, but it also breaks Dragonite's Multiscale, allows scouting if a Charizard is Mega X or Y, and breaks Carracosta's Sturdy
  • Charge doubles Gigavolt Havoc's damage and helps against special attackers because of the extra special defense it gives. Tapu Lele (with z charge), Magearna, and Mew require both the special defense from charge into a damage boosted Gigavolt Havoc to be beaten by Zeraora Swap the order of Charge and Fake Out in this section to reflect the set
Set Details
=========
  • 156 Defense allows for a Bulk Upped Zeraora to survive a 252 Attack Dragon Danced Mega Charizard X's Outrage
  • 116 Speed is to outspeed Jumpluff
  • 236 Attack Adamant is to hit as hard as possible to prevent unecessary damage rolls such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X
Is this or Jolly the optimal set? You can have the final say here, but it's Jolly. If you change, remember to put Adamant in OO and remove Jolly from it
Usage Tips
========
  • Unless either you can OHKO or they can't OHKO before you 2HKO, Bulk Up against Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and Dragonite or Charge against Pokemon like Mew, Tapu Lele, and Magearna first to both raise your own damage on the following turn and ensure your survival
  • Do remember to predict whether the opponent has a Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y, because if it is an X you will have to Bulk Up while if it is a Y you will need to Plasma Fists use Gigavolic Havoc
In general, moves aren't verbs. GP will take care of this later, but if you can clean this up before-hand I'm sure they would appreciate it

Team Options

  • Pokemon like Dragonite, Magearna, and Mega Swampert that are bulky enough to tank opponents that are faster than Zeraora such as Scarf Porygon Z, Mega Lopunny (if adamant), Scarf Garchomp and Pheromosa. It can run Admant or Jolly, and in my opinion, should almost always be running bulk so that it beats Gyarados
  • Life Orb with Lonely/Naughty nature, 252 Atk, 32 SpA, and 224 Spe, Plasma Fists, Outrage, Grass Knot, and Fake Out allows Zeraora to beat Pokemon such as Donphan and Swampert while retaining the Mega Charizard X and Dragonite matchups Don't say which spread and moves must be used. More moves than these are viable and spread vary with moves. Instead, say something like "with Fake Out, Plasma Fists, and choices of Grass Knot, Hidden Power Ice, Outrage, and Outrage"
  • Choice Band with Adamant 32 Hp, 252 Atk, 224 Spe, Plasma Fists, Outrage, Close Combat/Fire Punch, and Iron Tail allows Zeraora to bring an additional physical coverage move over life orb, because of the absence of Fake Out. Iron tail can be used to beat fairies such as Gardevoir, most Tapu Lele, and Mega Diancie
  • Mixed Electrium with Rash 140 Atk, 252 SpA, 116 speed, Thunder, Plasma Fists, Outrage, and Bulk Up can be used to beat physical tanks such as Mega Slowbro Does it not already beat Mega Slowbro, especially if it has Taunt? Give a real example or scrap this set
  • Dragonium can be run to guarantee a win against dragons like Kommo-o, Dragonite, and all Charizards, while simultaneously greatly assisting against other Zeraora

  • Choice Scarves or faster Pokemon such as Porygon Z will simply outspeed and then OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk
  • Bulky hard hitting Pokemon not hit super effectively such as Mega Mawile, Metagross, and Aegislash will take Zeraora's hit then proceed to faint Zeraora with a strong attack

Plasma Fists is the STAB electric type move that will become Gigavolt Havoc. It will be used to beat most water types, flying types, and frail Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Primarina, Mega Charizard Y, and Greninja. Outrage is mainly for dragons such as Mega Charizard X, Haxorus, and some Dragonite, but it can be used to hit many things unresisted because of its dragon typing. Dragon is only resisted by steel and does not affect fairy; both are hit neutrally by electric. Filler, just say The combination of Electric and Dragon gives Zeraora nearly unresisted coverage or something like that Bulk up is both to boost damage and reduce physical damage. The most specific matchup for bulk up is Mega Charizard X's Dragon Danced Outrage, but it can also help with slower Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados. Fake Out is not only a little bit of practically free damage to secure what would normally be damage rolls, but it also potentially allows scouting if a Charizard is Mega X or Y they can choose to not mega evolve on your fake out and breaks Carracosta's Sturdy from Pokemon such as Crustle, Carracosta, and Sawk. Charge doubles Gigavolt Havoc's damage and helps against special attackers because of the extra special defense it possible provides. Offensive Mew, Heatran, Clefable, no, clefable ignores with unaware, and uses Z-reflect and Genesect require both the special defense from charge into a damage boosted Gigavolt Havoc in order to be beaten by Zeraora. Charge also helps with Tapu Lele Not with this set. Its either its bulker reflect, and its a 50/50, or its Offensive, and you just ohko with z-plasma.

48 HP and 120 Defense allows for a Bulk Upped Zeraora to survive a 252 Attack Dragon Danced Mega Charizard X's Outrage. Kind of confusing to inexperienced players/GP ppl. I would reword to 48 HP and 120 Defense allows Zeraora to live an Outrage from a Jolly Mega Charizard X. and mention the bulk up stuff in usage tips 88 Speed Jolly is to outspeed non-Choice Scarf Greninja. 252 Attack is to hit as hard as possible to prevent unnecessary damage rolls such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X.
Usage Tips
========
Unless either you can OHKO or they can't OHKO before you 2HKO, Bulk Up against Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and or Charge against Pokemon like offensive Mew, Tapu Lele 50/50 with bulky at best, otherwise you just ohko offensive , and Magearna nah Magearna beats you first to both raise your own damage on the following turn and ensure your survival. Do remember to predict whether the opponent has a Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y, because if it is an X Zeraora will have to use Bulk Up while if it is a Y Zeraora will need to use Gigavolt Havoc. Zeraora should be picked against the mentioned flying and water types, certain Dragon types such as Haxorus and Mega Charizard X, and Pokemon without a way to effectively hit Zeraora like Magnezone or Normalium Z Meloetta.
Where is Fake out in all of this?

Plasma Fists and Thunder are the two electric type moves that will be powered up in Gigavolt Havoc separate these two. The reason why both of them must be run are for Pokemon that can raise both of their defenses, such as Tapu Lele and Magearna, to avoid the boosted defense. It also beats almost all Sableye, with even the most physically bulky having a 50% chance to be OHKOd by a charge boosted Gigavolt Havoc from Plasma Fists. Don't discuss Thunder and Plasma Fists in the same place, separate them, like you were doing bullet points Charge now beats allows Zeraora to live attacks from Tapu Lele and Magearna, as well as and Mew and other special attackers, as well as doubles Zeraora's Electric-type moves on the next turn. Fake Out is needed to help any potential damage rolls against Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados and Sturdy Pokemon like Crustle and Carracosta. As this set is not very heavily invested in either offense, it needs the extra damage from Fake Out to ensure wins.
Set Details

60 Atk will always OHKO 248 hp Bold standard Magearna after a Charge boost. 168 SpA is for ensuring an OHKO on bulky Mega Gyarados after Fake Out damage. 128 SpD allows for Zeraora with a Charge boost to always live Modest 0 SpA bulky Tapu Lele's Z-Psychic. Finally 152 Spe Allows Zeraora to outspeed Mega Gengar and other base 130 Speed Pokemon.
Usage Tips
========
This Zeraora should be picked into the regular water and flying types such as?, as well as Tapu Lele, Magearna, and other special attackers. Because charge boosts the damage of both moves, it is effective against Pokemon that can boost either defense. Mention how you should use Z-Thunder if a Pokemon boosts their Defense, or Z-Plasma Fists if they boost their Special Defense. Also mention to target the weaker defensive stat of an opposing Pokemon in general. Mention to use Z-Thunder against Mega Gyarados, specifically. Remember to not Fake Out against Mew or Tapu Lele, because Mew has the potential to be Kee Berry and Tapu Lele will simply block it with Psychic Terrain, simply use Charge instead. Keep in mind if the Tapu Lele is an offensive Tapu Lele rather than the more common bulky Tapu Lele, Zeraora will need to Z-Plasma Fists immediately.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
Alternatively 192 Speed Jolly can be run to beat Mega Lopunny if the team requires Zeraora to have to deal with this rather important threat while sacrificing damage rolls. Additionally, Adamant with 224 Speed for Greninja can be run to further boost damage to increase chances in damage rolls. What does this mean Replacing Outrage with Taunt to rely solely on Gigavolt Havoc to deal damage sacrifices certain matchups such as Mega Charizard X and Haxorus to bring Taunt in order to beat stall Pokemon such as Whimsicott, Type:Null, and Mega Audino. You're not wrong, but reword this with putting why you should run taunt first, followed by the cost, otherwise no one will want to use it. Life Orb with attacks like Plasma Fists, Outrage, Grass Knot, Close Combat, and Fake Out allows Zeraora to beat Pokemon such as Donphan and Swampert while retaining the Mega Charizard X matchup and significantly improving the Dragonite matchup Mention that you can no longer beat Mgyara consistently Choice Band with moves such as Plasma Fists, Outrage, Close Combat, Fire Punch, and Iron Tail allows Zeraora to bring an additional physical coverage move over life orb, because of the absence of Fake Out. Iron tail can be used to beat fairies such as Gardevoir, most Tapu Lele, and Clefable. Keep in mind that Adamant is recommended for Life Orb and Band for its much needed extra power. Can Jolly be run to beat Lopunny? Who do you lose against if you run Jolly? Dragonium can be run to guarantee a win against dragons like Kommo-o, Dragonite, and all Charizards, while simultaneously greatly assisting against other Zeraora.
Checks and Counters

**Bulky Ground-Types** Bulky Ground types like Zygarde and Donphan (without Grass Knot Zeraora) unneccesary, you can include mons that mostly beat the mon that shrug off outrage and in return OHKO Zeraora with super effective ground type moves.

Grass types? Seems like you're bodied by mvenu and Sceptile

**Faster Pokemon** Choice Scarves or faster Pokemon such as Timid Porygon Z not run and Pheromosa will simply outspeed and then OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk.

**Trace Users** Gardevoir (without Zeraora bringing Banded Iron Tail) will trace Zeraora's Volt Absorb to be immune to Plasma Fists and not before affected by Outrage, leaving Zeraora with no way of dealing damage.

**Bulky Offense** Bulky hard hitting Pokemon not hit super effectively such as Mega Mawile, Metagross, and Aegislash will take Zeraora's hit then proceed to faint Zeraora with a strong attack. move this first. Much more important than trace

**Stall** Stall Pokemon such as Mega Sableye and Whimsicott will just stall out Zeraora while wearing it down, depending on Zeraora's set. same with this. Order weaknesses from most significant to least

Would you also mind putting the Mixed Electrium section in bullet points, so I can see the points more clearly? thank you, makes it easier to qc, you can change it back after i do my second bit

One question; what example do you want me to give for a damage roll on 224 Adamant? This was just meant as a tip for customizing the Zeraora to fit personal needs. Otherwise done.

[OVERVIEW]
Zeraora's incredibly high speed and access to moves such as Fake out, Bulk up, Taunt, Charge, Outrage, Thunder, and its signature move, Plasma Fists, allows it to win matchups against Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, both Mega Charizards, and non-Choice Scarf Greninja. Additionally, Zeraora is the most viable fast electric type in the 1v1 metagame, blessing Zeraora with a lack of competition and a unique niche. Despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible, with also a good defensive typing due to Electric's sole weakness being ground, and access to bulk up and charge, which boost either defense. Because of Zeraora's large set of viable moves, it has many viable sets other options that it can use to fit its team. Zeraora can also get a lot of power by holding an Electrium Z and powering up either its Plasma Fists or Thunder into Gigavolt Havoc, which can be further increased in damage by Bulk Up or Charge. Furthermore, Zeraora's signature move Plasma Fists in combination with its ability Volt Absorb grants it an immunity to slower normal type attacks from Pokemon such as Normalium Z Meloetta. However, its unboosted attack and special attack are not stellar, but they at least can be boosted by bulk up, charge, or items. and Zeraora loses to threats such as Mega Venusaur, Mega Aggron, and Zygarde because of its only passable offenses and mediocre defenses.

Finally 152 Speed Allows,along with a Hasty nature, allows Zeraora to outspeed Mega Gengar and other base 130 Speed Pokemon.
Usage Tips
========
This Zeraora should be picked into the regular water and flying typesWater- and Flying-types like Tapu Fini and Mega Charizard Y, as well as Tapu Lele, Magearna, and other special attackers. Because cCharge boosts the damage of both moves, it is effective against Pokemon that can boost either defense like the aforementioned Magearna and Tapu Lele. Always target the weaker effective defense, including stat changes to both Pokemon. For example, even though Mega Gyarados' base Special Defense is higher than its Defense, because of Gyarados' Intimidate,(AC) Zeraora should use Z-Thunder. Remember to not Fake Out against Mew or Tapu Lele, because Mew has the potential to hold a rather common Kee Berry and Tapu Lele will simply blocks it with Psychic Terrain; use Charge instead. Keep in mind if the Tapu Lele is an offensive Tapu Lele rather than the more common bulky Tapu Lele, Zeraora will need to Z-Plasma Fists immediately. It also beats almost all Sableye, with even the most physically bulky having a 50% chance to be OHKOd by a charge boosted Gigavolt Havoc from Plasma Fists. Some stall Pokemon like Type:Null and Whimsicott cannot be defeated by Mixed Zeraora, for it just does not do enough damage.

Bulky offensive Pokemon like Dragonite, Magearna, orand Mega Swampert,(AC) that are bulky enough to tank opponents that are faster than Zeraora such as Choice Scarf Porygon Z, Mega Lopunny, and Pheromosa, are also good teammates for Zeraora. Alternatively 192 Speed Jolly can be run to beat Mega Lopunny if the team requires Zeraora to have to deal with this rather important threat while sacrificing damage rolls (give examples of Pokemon against which the damage rolls matter). Additionally, Adamant can be run to further boost damage to increase chances in damage rolls. Taunt can be used in order to beat stall Pokemon such as Type:Null, and Mega Audino. However this will sacrifices Dragon matchups such as Mega Charizard X and Haxorus. Life Orb with attacks like Plasma Fists, Outrage, Grass Knot, Close Combat, and Fake Out allows Zeraora to beat Pokemon such as Donphan and Golem while retaining the Mega Charizard X matchup and beating all but the most physically bulky or Protect Dragonite. However, this has a large drawback in not being able to beat Mega Gyarados reliably. Choice Band with moves such as Plasma Fists, Outrage, Close Combat, Fire Punch, and Iron Tail allows Zeraora to bring an additional physical coverage move over life orbLife Orb, because of the absence of Fake Out, and beat Kommo-o more reliably. Iron tail can be used to beat fairies Fairies such as Gardevoir, most Tapu Lele, and Clefable. This also has struggles with Gyarados. Dragonium can be run to guarantee a win against dragonsDragons like Kommo-o, Dragonite, and all Charizards, while simultaneously greatly assisting against other Zeraorasolidifying the mirror matchup (So, are there no drawbacks in using Dragonium Z Zeraora?If there are, mention one or two).
Checks and Counters

**Ground-Types** Bulky Ground types like Zygarde and Donphan that shrug off Outrage and in return OHKO Zeraora with super effective Ground-type moves are its primary counters.

**Faster Pokemon** Choice Scarvesf Pokemon or faster Pokemon such as Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Pheromosa will simply outspeed and then OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk.

**Bulky Offense** Bulky hard hitting Pokemon not hit super effectively by Electric- or Dragon-type attacks, such as Mega Mawile, Mega Tyranitar, and Aegislash,(AC) willcan take Zeraora's hit thenand proceed to faintKO Zeraora with a strong attack.

**Stall** Stall Pokemon such as Whimsicott and Umbreon willcan just stall out Zeraora while wearing it down. Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn do this especially well thanks to their Grass typing resisting Electric.

**Trace** Gardevoir will traces Zeraora's Volt Absorb to be immune to Plasma Fists and Thunder, while also not being affected by Outrage because of its fairy typing, leaving Zeraora with no way of dealing damage. Trace Porygon2 can also do this because it can tank Outrage with sheer bulk. Mega Alakazam is also a Trace Pokemon that can beat Zeraora, since it can tank Outrage and 2HKO in return.

Zeraora's incredibly high Speed and access to moves including like Fake Out, Bulk Up, Charge, Outrage, Thunder, and its signature move (RC) Plasma Fists (RC) allows allow it to win matchups against Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Mega Charizard Y, non-Choice Scarf Greninja, and Mega Charizard X with Bulk Up and Outrage. Additionally, Zeraora is the most viable fast Electric-type in the 1v1 metagame, blessing Zeraora it with a lack of competition and a unique niche. Furthermore, despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible (RC) in addition to and is complemented by a decent defensive typing, (AC) due to with Electric's having only a sole weakness being in Ground, and access to Bulk Up and Charge to boost either defense. Because of Zeraora's large set of viable moves, it has many other options that it can use to fit its team; (SC) Zeraora it can also get a lot of power by holding an Electrium Z and powering up either its Plasma Fists or Thunder into Gigavolt Havoc, which can be further increased in damage by Bulk Up or Charge. Furthermore, Zeraora's signature move Plasma Fists in combination with its Zeraora's ability Volt Absorb grants it an immunity to Normal-type attacks from slower Pokemon such as Normalium Z Meloetta. However, its unboosted Attack and Special Attack are not stellar, and Zeraora loses to threats such as Mega Venusaur, Tapu Bulu, and Zygarde because of its only passable offenses and mediocre defenses.

Plasma Fists and Z-Plasma Fists is Gigavolt Havoc are used to beat most Water-types, (AH) Flying-types, (AH) and frail Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Primarina, Mega Charizard Y, non-Choice Scarf Greninja, and Normalium Z Porygon-Z. Outrage is mainly for dragons Dragon-types such as Mega Charizard X, Haxorus, and Naganadel, but it can be used to hit many things unresisted foes that don't resist it because of the inherent synergy between Electric- and Dragon-type moves. Bulk Up is both to boost Zeraora's damage output and reduce physical damage taken from physical attacks. The most specific matchup for bulk up attack it helps Zeraora take is Mega Charizard X's Dragon Dance-boosted Outrage, but it can also help with slower Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados. Fake Out is not only a little bit of practically free damage to secure what would normally be damage rolls, but it also potentially allows scouting scouts if a Charizard's is Mega X or Y, Evolution and breaks non-Ground-type (AH) Sturdy Pokemon like Carracosta or and Sawk. It can also break Dragonite's Multiscale, allowing Zeraora to win against non-Dragonium Z variants. Charge doubles Gigavolt Havoc's damage and helps against special attackers because of the extra Special Defense it possible provides. Offensive Mew, Heatran, and Genesect require both the Special Defense increase from Charge into a damage as well as a boosted Gigavolt Havoc in order to be beaten by Zeraora.

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Scarves Scarf users or faster Pokemon such as Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Pheromosa will simply outspeed and then OHKO Zeraora because of its mediocre bulk.

**Bulky Offense**: Bulky hard-hitting (AH) Pokemon not hit super effectively such as Mega Mawile, Mega Tyranitar, and Aegislash will take Zeraora's hit then and proceed to faint KO Zeraora with a strong attack.

**Stall**: Stall Pokemon such as Whimsicott and Umbreon will just stall out Zeraora while wearing it down. Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn do this especially well thanks to their Grass typing resisting Electric resistance.

**Trace**: Gardevoir will Trace Zeraora's Volt Absorb to be immune to Plasma Fists and Thunder (RC) while also not being affected by Outrage because of its Fairy typing, leaving Zeraora with no way of dealing damage. Trace Porygon2 can also do this because it similarly can tank Outrage with sheer bulk.

Additionally, Zeraora is the most viable fast Electric-type in the 1v1 metagame, blessing it blessed (Sounds much better imo) with a lack of competition and a unique niche. Furthermore, despite Zeraora's blistering speed, its bulk is not horrible and is complemented by a decent defensive typing, with Electric's pure Electric-types having only a sole weakness in Ground, and access to Bulk Up and Charge to boost either defense.

Moves
========

Set Details
=========

Usage Tips
========

========
Bulky offense Pokemon like Dragonite, Magearna, and Mega Swampert can tank attacks from hyper offense Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Porygon-(AH)Z, Mega Lopunny, Choice Scarf Garchomp, and Pheromosa.

Moves

Set Details
=========

Usage Tips
========
This Zeraora should be sent out against the regular Water- (AH) and Flying-types (AH) (Remove the AH comments and AC one below) like Tapu Fini and Mega Charizard Y, as well as against Tapu Lele, Magearna, and other special attackers. Remember to not use Fake Out against Mew or Tapu Lele, because Mew rather commonly holds Kee Berry, (AC) and Tapu Lele will simply block it with Psychic Terrain; use Charge instead. Keep in mind that if the Tapu Lele is an offensive set rather than the more common bulky variant, Zeraora will need to use Electrium Z-boosted Plasma Fists immediately. It also beats almost all Sableye sets, with even the most physically bulky having a 50% chance to be OHKOed by a Charge-(AH)boosted Gigavolt Havoc from Plasma Fists. Some stall Pokemon like Type: Null and Whimsicott cannot be defeated by mixed Zeraora, for it just does not do enough damage.

Team Options
========
Physically bulky special attackers like bulky (Repetition) Genesect, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro can beat Ground-types such as Donphan, Zygarde,(Space)and Landorus-T.

========
Dragonium Z can be run to guarantee a win against Dragon-types like Kommo-o, Dragonite, and Mega Charizard X and Y, (RC) while simultaneously greatly assisting against opposing Zeraora.
