Haban Berry Zygarde's main purpose is to beat opposing dragon type pokemon, so send one out when you think your opponent will. When facing a dragon type pokemon like Naganadel or Regidrago, decide whether or not Outrage can kill them in one hit. If it can, click Outrage to kill them in one hit. If not, use Dragon Dance to boost Zygarde's attack and speed and kill the opposing pokemon at +1 attack. Use Substitute against pokemon who frequent status moves like Zapdos and Chansey. When sending Zygarde out on a dragon type, be aware that Choice Band Unnerve Haxorus can still beat Zygarde, as they ignore Zygarde's Haban Berry and can kill it in one hit.

Zygarde is able to run a Rocky Helmet set for a better matchup against Sturdy pokemon like Aggron and Sawk. However, the benefits of running a Weakness Policy or Haban Berry usually far outweigh the benefits that a Rocky Helmet can provide.
Zygarde also effectively runs a fast Sub Toxic set, which is capable of taking on threats like Tapu Fini and Goodra. However, using a Sub Toxic set loses the advantages of having a Weakness Policy, and requires Zygarde to run much less bulk than it would normally be afforded.
