The mist engulfing the Spring Path makes it hard for you to understand where you are, even with the help of the map N gave you. On the upside, though, it provides you with a welcome cover. With the entire region roaming with Darkrai's vile minions, few places in Sinnoh can still be called safe.

Eventually, you find the entrance to Turnback Cave, although "stumbling" would better describe it. According to the information the Eon twins shared with you, Cresselia is being held captive somewhere inside. No one is guarding the entrance - either nothing of value is inside or there are defenses further in. Uncertain about which of the possibilities would be worse, you cautiously step in, piercing through the darkness with the faint light of your torches.

But what is the right direction? Every room you enter looks identical to the previous one. You can't even tell if you've been walking in circles or not, except you haven't stumbled upon the entrance in quite some time by now. You frequently glanced at your watches, wary about how much time passed. But ever since you entered the cave, the watches have marked the same time, as if they were frozen. Or have you really entered a place beyond time? Sure, travelling through time is one thing, but this? The blood chill in your veins, as you question what you've been putting yourselves through.

Then, out of nothing but your deepest fears, a room shows up with a glooming rift at the center of it. Eerie whispers and wails echo from it, and even in the light of your torches, the portal looks pitch black. The echoes would frighten even the bravest of the trainers. And yet, you feel enthralled to them. Is this a sorcery? Or was your rationality lost the moment you stepped in this ominous place? Maybe no one will ever know, as even before you decided it, your body is already walking inside, enticed by the voices.

You still had the suspect you didn't leave your homeworld while you were walking through the cave, even as your perception of time was drifting away. But nothing like that could prepare you to what awaited you on the other side of the portal. Even the most accurate descriptions of what was known as the Distortion World didn't resemble the realm of darkness now seeping around you. A colorless cloud of shadows, with visages sometimes emerging from the haze, their expressions twisted in agony and despair. Whether it is a phenomenon of self-suggestion or those visages are real, you can't tell. What could real mean, in that place? Is it real? Are you still real?

Then, as you slowly gain a glimpse of auto-conscience once again, you see the portal landed you on a gloomy bridge, suspended over the infinite, twisting shadow. At the end of the bridge, a being was floating motionless, its skin looking pale and sickeningly colorless. Even in this state, though, you could tell from its shape that the creature was indeed the Dreamer itself. The creature you came here to save, even if you don't know who will save yourselves should it come down to that.

Putting your fears aside for as long as you can muster, you approach the captive Pokemon, but a female, cold voice suddenly calls you out, shrieking like a frightening banshee in the endless night.

What is this disturbance? You dare trespass this hallowed ground? This shall be your final resting place

Prediction for Necturna turned out of be correct. But the ghost buddies were uninvited as they mess with Gengar way too much -_-. Also weather being banned means that Ninetales's offensive prowess suffered a considerable hit.

Frosty I would be better off with Baby-doll Eyes or something else for Ninetales since Will-O-Wisp is the only useful glyph for Gengar here.

K uh, assuming we lost (and we did) we have two options:

a) Focus on Necturna and screw the adds so we can scout (and die) faster
b) try to get all adds down


I like option a and will order based on that. If you REALLY want to try the long way, let me know.

Syclant: Icy Wind (Mega Banette 1, Banette 3, Necturna) - Icicle Spear (Necturna)
IF
Mega Banette 1 is KO'd when you are to attack THEN Replace it with Banette 3 A1
Ninetales: Fire Blast (Necturna) - Heat Wave (Mega Banette 1 - Banette 3 - Necturna)
IF bloodlust was used A1 THEN Flamethrower (Necturna) A2
IF Mega Banette 1 is KO'd when you are to attack A2 THEN Flamethrower (Necturna) A2

Have something get rid of Banette 2 if you don't wanna take the chance of it being fully healed by Necturna. But since it will take a full action from any of your mons, I don't recommend that.

If you want a more conservative route, then have Gengar attack Mega Banette A2 to get rid of it before more harm is done. With or without bloodlust we won't break necturna's shield this round, so its usage is up to you. BUT if you really want to break the shield, then have umbreon focus fire on Necturna and have Gengar Bloodlust - Attack (Necturna) and we will deal just enough. Assuming no parahax (yeah right).

The best route is to take out Necturna's Shield. However, if we do that, then odds are we wont take it out not because of paralysis, but because of a KO. This seriously looks like a raid where you have to spread spam A1 and get rid of mooks asap before Necturna acts then use A2 to hit Necturna. Syclant definitely looks good for this raid. Mega Salamence also looks good. Mega Gardevoir seems like the best cleric. No idea who else but something that can deal like 16 DMG to Banette and have more than 94 speed?

That said, time to die. We better find out what else happens.

Umbreon: Assurance (Necturna) > Bite (Necturna)

Wraith: Dazzling Gleam (Necturna | Banette A | Banette B) > Shadow Ball (Necturna)

Frosty change the Banette B target of Syclant to Banette C or a Sableye please; Dazzling Gleam deals exactly 13 DMG.
 
Round 2

The team decides to ignore most adds and just focus on Necturna, letting spillover damage finish off the two wounded Banette. However Necturna shrugs off blows and empowers another of her minions!

Necturna: Bask in the glory of our Master!

This time the minion of choice is a Sableye. The little Ghost-type shines in a purple light and turns in its Mega forme, armed with a threatening, large red gem! While its allies whittle down at the various raid members, the evolved Sableye sprays flames over the team, igniting Keaton's blazing spirit but also taking out the weakened Caffie. Necturna takes the opportunity to mock the team.

Necturna: Do you yet grasp the futility of your actions?

And to add insult to injury, she calls forth more minions to perform her bidding!

all kinds of adorable.

Most of the teams I am thinking have a problem with the support. The only mon that can heal, dispel, set up screens, set up safeguard/misty terrain and deal decent damage while going before Necturna is Mega Gardevoir. Which means that we either replace Salamence or we will need to do FPHM.

If you are going with Route A we can use like Cawmodore with the Scythe and use up its not hideous SpA to deal damage with Air Cutter. Then I would use like Syclant + Zoroark (terrible defenses, but at least it has dispel, bloodlust, shadow mend AND snarl) with Scythe and Snakebite. With every hand on board we can KO all ghosts A1 with Icy Wind + Snarl + Air Cutter + Hyper Voice and then proceed to set up Misty Terrain (then Screens) and Attack Necturna (the bad part is that none of the other three can support...except for healing). If we attack with like Icicle Spear + Foul Play + Sky Attack/Pluck we are looking at around 90hp of damage per round. Which is...lackluster. But depending on the number of Sableyes, we can do smart targeting and increase that number to 110. Maybe finish the shield in 4 rounds and then...well...I'd say die, but I need to be confident or smt.

If we are going with FPHM first, then we will need to get back to discussing.

Only two raid members stand, but the witch is seemingly unsatisfied with her odds and decide to push them further!

Another Sableye glows in purple light, before evolving in its threatening Mega forme. The horde of ghosts lash out at Keaton and her team mate Umbreon, but both manage to survive. Despite paralysis, the Ninetales even manages to counterstrike.

However, Necturna seems to have had enough with the fire fox, and obliterates her with shadow magic.

Necturna: You will join in the service of our master!

Alone and weakened, the Umbreon is powerless to prevent the vast number of enemies from overwhelming him. You can hear a few last words before blanking...
