Wow, there are some pretty... interesting subtextual opinions floating around in this thread! Girls are hardly ever "hardcore gamers", the kind who wait outside for a PS3 because of its l33t hardware specs, just waiting to put their swap disc (or whatever it is) into it to start playing...

I like them. Personally, I think there have been many other threads with original Pokemon in them that look MUCH more Digimon-ish than yours. (Any fakedex that overindulges in the bipedal Mewtwo/Lucario look is guilty of this without exception)

I like #1 or #3. #2 is broken unless done right, and my evidence is FF8... though it's the only game that comes to mind in which I had a serious problem with how they handled xp/levels. In FF8 it took only 1000 xp for you to level, and enemies dropped an amount of xp depending on what level...

I use openCanvas beta, a kinda old kinda crappy less than 1 MB large .exe file that just works really well with sketching with a tablet. I usually don't use it for serious coloring tho, but I did there since it's just a rough drawing :) Thanks for everyone's comments. A lot of them might be...
