  1. Pikachu Cup [Online Competition]

It's certainly interesting. How did Lanturn outspeed your Electivire, anyway? It couldn't have had scarf; so, Tailwind...?
  2. Pikachu Cup [Online Competition]

The effect of Soak lasts until you switch the Pokemon out from the field. A Pokemon only has to be hit with Soak once to give it the pure water typing while it is on the field.
  3. Pikachu Cup [Online Competition]

Light Ball still doubles the offensive stats as far as I know. I don't know if it's worth it if Scarf Rotom-C OHKOs Pika back in return or M-Amphy OHKO's with Dragon Pulse. That Flinch/Miss chance is nice though. I wish the Cosplay Pikachu received even more costumes. It's an interesting idea.
  4. Pikachu Cup [Online Competition]

I think that M-Manectric will be used if only to soften up Earthquakes from Electivire/Stunfisk. I plan on trying out Heliolisk with a Lightning Rod partner to Electrify my opponent's attacks before they get a hit off. On slower Pokemon (Lanturn/Stunfisk/Non-Scarfed Electivire) their attacks...
  5. Creative (and good) Movesets Mk II (READ THE OP FIRST)

Kabutops only hits 259 speed outside of rain - what's it doing when the opponent isn't running rain? Sure, it can damage some stuff, but it can't really outspeed anything important and Aqua Jet, though certainly useful, isn't powerful enough to warrant this set over a different one or a more...
  6. Creative (and good) Movesets Mk II (READ THE OP FIRST)

Kabutops Kabutops @ Life Orb Swift Swim Adamant (252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def) -X-scissor/Rapid Spin -Stone Edge -Aqua Jet -Waterfall I really enjoy using Kabutops in OU. I find that he really shines when I use him in OU on non-weather teams. Most of the time, my opponent is running...
  7. Sky Screamer- an OU Warstory

Good overall! That was a pretty good warstory overall. I thought the format was neat, and your commentary was pretty good. The analogy to the Sky Screamer was definitely an interesting way to approach the story. There was a lot of hax in this match, but that is probably a factor of the...
  8. The element of surprise

I really enjoy reading the discussion on this topic. Overall, originality has its place. Without originality, the metagame would become stagnant much more quickly. The important thing that I find is that originality in a team must be supported. Almost everything requires balance of some...
  9. Sable-Style

Well written! Great warstory! This was a pretty good battle. Seeing Virizion and Breloom was more interesting (finally, an OU battle without Ferrothorn/Rotom-W); so, I know that alone made it more interesting for me.
  10. Fishing day and my slug just baited a whale

It is nice to see an Ubers warstory (since they are less common). Furthermore, your team was pretty interesting for Ubers! I agree with others that the match was a bit one-sided (especially with the Deoxys sweep at the end), but your format and commentary made up for it as it was interesting...
  11. The Forty Fraylords

I really enjoyed these! The overall format was very good, and I liked the volume of the content (particularly because the content was good).
  12. VGC '11 US Southeast Regional - Atlanta, GA - WON BY TheCaptainFalcon & Maski

I'm looking forward to going. The restriction to Unova region only should be pretty entertaining. -Masters division.
  13. Mandibuzz

I normally just lurk around Smogon and read everything, but I have been playing with Mandibuzz some, and I have found it to be a great partner for Garbodor (poison type). They cover each others weaknesses pretty well, but more importantly, Garbodor can set up Spikes AND/OR Toxic Spikes while...
  14. UU RMT- Big Bulky Pokemon [Wifi Use]

After two Curses, Poison Jab matches Gunk Shot... the only reason I'm not sure is because, what would I be hitting with a poison type move that switches in on Muk? Nothing enjoys a 120 BP STAB move, but man I hate accuracy... Also, I gve Hitmontop Bullet Punch so that he can hit ghosts...
  15. UU RMT- Big Bulky Pokemon [Wifi Use]

When I was testing this team on Shoddy, I tried both types of Houndoom (Solarbeam and HP Fighting). Since the only thing that HP fighting hits are rock/steel/norms in UU, that would be things like Clefable orChansey... since they wall special attacks anyways, I'd probably switch out. However...
