  1. Pokémon Urshifu-Rapid-Strike

I do think a Sub-Bulk Up-Drain Punch-Surging Strike set can work. Coverage is ok, fast enough to set up and tanky enough too. It needs support to remove Special threats and Toxapex + Slowbro but that is not exclusive and this can set up on defensive pivots like Mandibuzz and kill some checks...
  2. Season V Farm League - Sign-ups!

    Name: NovaAsterix Tier: XY OU
  3. Pokémon Barbaracle

I've run him a few times with Smash, EQ, Cross Chop, Stone Edge. He's very hard to deal with since he's difficult to OHKO if you have White Herb. You can easily find a smash too with all the Talonflame running around. You have perfect coverage with those 3 moves and I only think tank ground...
  4. Pokémon Trevenant

I just got handled by: Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry Harvest Leech Seed Curse Protect Substitute If you don't have Taunt or a Sub-breaking move he can stall you out and force you to switch. The surprise factor alone was enough let alone the inability for me to get passed it without Togekiss Hax.
  5. RMT: Finally got top 500 in OU

As we bid goodbye to Gen 5, I wanted to take one last kick at making a run on the OU ladder. I dusted off my old team, spruced it up a bit, and went to work. I took several games and a lot of practice to hang with some of the best players this community has to offer but I finally achieved my...
  6. Priority Abuse: Closing in on 1800

Hey everyone! I've posted a couple of teams before, gotten great feedback and tried to improve them but I haven't had as much fun with a team until I made up this one from things I've learned from past RMTs and some on the side analysis. Here's a quick overview of the team: As you can...
  7. RMT: Attempted to Optimize with Math

Hey everyone, I decided to use my modelling background to come up with an integer program to try to optimize a team. I used all the OU analysis to determine who counters which Pokemon and then used the January usage rates to try to make a team with the most counters to the most popular Pokemon...
  8. DPP Player in a BW World

Updated with the new sets I'm running as well as issues I'm facing. Feedback is always welcome :D
  9. DPP Player in a BW World

Psyshock is an interesting choice. I find having the HP Fire really helpful for hitting many popular steels looking to sponge a DM, specifically Scizor and Ferrothorn but also Forretress. While I do have Heatran, the insurance to catch some switch in off guard is really useful. I'll try Psyshock...
  10. DPP Player in a BW World

So far so good. I think Scizor is much more effective than Jellicent. One consideration I am having is HP Grass over Ice on Heatran as it adds some good coverage missing on my team. Pokemon it hits pretty hard include Politoed and Jellicent both of whom Heatran outspeeds and can revenge kill if...
  11. DPP Player in a BW World

Hey, thanks for the great feedback. I do agree that Jellicent seems to be doing the least for my team right now so I am pretty open to trying out your ideas. I'll let you know how they work out. Thanks again!
  12. DPP Player in a BW World

Hey everyone, I used to play back in DPP meta and was active on the forums and in the CAP but forgot my old account name. Every now and then I get a big craving for some Pokemon and start playing again. I usually like to make my teams by seeing what's popular and picking some good counters to...
