That's what I said. No where did I say gardevoir should be switching into special attacks, especially considering that the first time it does it's not mega-evolved.

Well the point I was trying to make is that while gardevoir is bulky and powerful enough to force out most special attackers besides gengar and aegislash, it's to frail and lacks the reliable recovery to be consistently switching into said pokemon.

Gardevoir is more of an wall than a tank. Even though she checks most special attackers pretty hard, switching into their standard moves means taking way too much damage. So nothing like Blissey at all.

Mega Gardevoir for A/A- rank. Very few OU pokemon can reliably switch into hyper voice and even fewer aren't threatened by the various coverage moves it has. And while not bulky enough to switch in, it can comfortably check most non-ghost special attackers.

It pains me to say it but charizard Y is probably a better defogger than charizard X. Immune to 3 types of entry hazards, a stronger uninvested attack, and better resistances if you're using it as a special "tank" compared to charizard X's "physical tank". Might as well use blastoise though...
