Does anyone have a Snivy with Contrary (any nature/gender)? I have Vulpix (Snow Warning), Jolly Bagon with Dragon Dance, Torchic (Speed Boost) and Froakie (Protean).

Why do the sub seed sets still have 252HP EV spreads? Looking at the 4th gen analysis of Jumpluff, splitting between Def and SpDef seems to be preferable, as maximizing Leech Seed recovery is more important than overall bulk.

Agreed. I hate the fact that people are only talking about Dream World abilities when we don't even know whether we'll get all of them. I think Blissey we still be great, and I think her ability to spread paralysis around could be invaluable in this apparently hyper-offensive metagame.

There's only a 5% accuracy difference between Fire Blast and Stone Edge/Hydro Pump, which is barely noticeable. Oh, and Gengar, Gyarados and Scizor are fine with only 80 BP STABs. I think it will come down to personal taste in the end.

True, but it would make the "156" metagame on WiFi more interesting. It would be a shame if a pokemon with a great stat spread and 550 total was made UU just because it was Bug/Fire...

Did anybody else notice Bug Resistance has replaced Stealth Rock as TM76? I guess it will be mainly old leads we have to worry about then (darn Azelf!), as I can't see many pokemon getting it by level-up.

I'm not sure old pokemon will get new moves (besides TMs). If you recall RSE, most old pokemon had their level-up move lists unchanged, and BW has had a lot of parallels with RSE thus far.

I think the general consensus was it needs to watch out for Steel-types, depending on its movepool, but the typing itself was welcome (no x4 Ice weakness!). Interestingly Ghost/Fire and Dark/Dragon cover each other pretty well. I know who's going on my team!

Thanks for the silhouette. I hope they make this Fire/Ghost offensively built. It would only have problems with Heatran, Tyranitar, Dark/Dragon, none of whom appreciate a Focus Blast :)
