[Overview]
- Decent HP, coupled with great Attack and Defense, and a good Special Defense stat on Sandstorm makes it very hard to take down.
- Sturdy lets it act as a good suicide lead with Explosion and Stealth Rock.
- Bad movepool, its limited to Ground + Rock attacks with Explosion to fill.
- Common weaknesses like Fighting, Water, Ground, and Grass make Gigaiasu be less effective.

Set Description:
- Good suicide lead with great coverage thanks to the QuakeEdge combo and the ability to set up Stealth Rock and blow up.
- Sturdy will act as a Sash, letting Gigaiasu get Stealth Rock up all the time barring Taunters, then retaliating with an Priority Explosion, Stone Edge, or Earthquake thanks to Custap Berry.
- Great Attack will let it hurt pretty much everything in the game that doesn't resist its attacks.
- EV spread is straight forward. Max HP for bulk and Max Attack for power, as it doesn't need the Speed at all.
- Stone Edge is used to hit everything that doesn't resist it, with Earthquake complimenting it, and Explosion being your last resort move.
- Due to Gigaiasu's bad movepool there's no other option for this set.
- Pokemon that enjoy Stealth Rock on the field as soon as possible enjoy this set of Gigaiasu.
- This set will most likely end up in a 5-5 for both players, so pairing it with a Choice Scarfer is a good idea in order to get the upper hand against whatever they bring in on the blind switch.
- Countered badly by Bronzong, Nattorei, Goruugu, Randorosu, and Gliscor.
- With the Explosion nerf in this generation, things with good bulk and recovery can afford to take one and recover the damage.

Set Description:
- Hits very hard on the physical side with STAB Stone Edge.
- Bulky enough to stand most assaults and retaliate with a huge blow.
- Enough power to knock out most things that dont resist its 2 main moves.
- Gigaiasu's movepool is awful, so you basically have to use the same 3 moves on its sets.
- Last spot can be for Rock Blast to take care of Substitute users,Stealth Rock to support the team on a predicted switch, or Heavy Bomber as a filler move.
- Enjoys having Sandstorm.
- Bronzong is pretty much the best counter to Gigaiasu, while bulky waters like Swampert, and bulky grounds like Hippowdon do very well, but they have to be wary of Explosion. Skarmory is great too, as it can take a Stone Edge and then easily PP stall it with Roost.
- Tyranitar and Hippowdon help by providing Sandstorm.
- As this set can 2HKO most stuff, pairing it with a Choice Scarfer like Flygon, Sazandora, Zekrom, or Infernape is feasible to finish off those foes.
- Sandstorm works well with Gigaiasu, as it boosts its average Special Defense, making it hard to take down without a Super Effective move.
- Things like Sazandora, Heatran, Lucario, that can take down Steel types with ease are recommended.
- Burungeru works well as it can take most of the stuff that troubles Gigaiasu, like Water and Fighting Pokemon.
- Curse can be used, although dont expect it to do much even on Sandstorm, as it will most likely be destroyed by Skarmory or another phazer.
- Rock Slide can be used for a more reliable STAB, but the damage loss is very big.
- Can use Toxic to hit Water types on the switch, but it wont do anything to the more common Steel types.
- Bronzong, Skarmory, Nattorei all do a great job on taking everything Gigaiasu may use.
- Nullifying Sandstorm is useful to beat Gigaiasu, so Kyogre, Groudon, and Abomasnow are good options too.
- Strong Water and Grass attacks will usually hit Gigaiasu on its weaker side, the Special one, OHKOing it.
- Gigaiasu gets Sand Power as its Dream World ability.
- Sand Power is a great ability to have on the Choice Band set, as it lets it 2HKO Swampert without the need of layers, as well as 2HKOing Bronzong.
- Sturdy is a better option on the Lead Set due to the pseudo Sash.
