I know for sure that language wont affect it, it is where you have the 3ds registered that affects the Viv mattern.

it's the region, so you would need to reformat your 3DS system with another region.
I wanted Sun pattern, but my 3ds won't be set to Mexico or anywhere outside of Europe, so that sucks :P

earthquake or stone edge(for togekiss) usually hits just as hard if not harder. Im at work so i can't do calcs but I'm pretty sure against more common fairies neutral eq does just as much damage after factoring in stab vs se coverage

I think Azumarill is the concern for most people.

252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 196-232 (48.5 - 57.4%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Garchomp Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 212-250 (52.4 - 61.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So while the difference is small poison jab does secure a 2HKO against azumarill.
