A thread about block

The idea is that using Block in some instance you would be able to buy extra turns against things that can't do much to you, which could be very useful.

For instance Froslass can stay in on Blissey pretty safely and get 3 layers of spikes down.

In addition to that if you can trap the right thing you can allow things like Slowbro, Snorlax, Tangrowth, Sudowoodo or even Golem to setup for a sweep. Same deal applies for Crobat, Gallade, ect on the Mean Look side of things.

I know being limited to 2 and possibly 1 moves (if you have one to heal off damage) is a big liability, but when you can potentially get +6 boost under your belt does it matter?

Of partictular interest to me are the Rock Polish users, who @Life Orb once they have +4 or so in speed should be able to sweep quite well without having to worry about being stopped by faster pokes. Or on the other end of the spectrum near indestructible pokes like several CM Slowbro or several Curse Snorlax.

Thoughts on the idea?

Problem is, if your opponent has a pokemon that cant do anything to you, how are you going to get your opponent to leave that thing in for the one turn that it takes to use ML/Block? Also, it's difficult to sweep with only one attack (block/heal move/stat upper/attack), because if they have something that resists your attack and can deal S/E damage to you, well... This is why people usually only use Mean Look with Baton Pass or Perish Song.
