This thread is to post riddles that exist to teach a lesson or moral.

Here are some examples of what qualify as riddles:

1. A question that requires critical thinking:Q: "If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?" -Abraham Lincoln
A: Four, because calling one thing something else doesn't change what it is.

2. A dilemma/trilemma/etc.:
Q: “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
A: The questions are meant to show that the series of claims cannot all be true.

3. A statement that requires critical thinking to understand:Statement: Free will is an illusion. Everything is due to the law of cause an effect. Our minds are no different. Every desire we have is a force of nature. Acting upon our desires is simply us carrying out the law of cause and effect.

Q: I see without seeing. To me, darkness is as clear as daylight. What am I?
A: We shouldn't make fun of blind people.
Q: If you look at the numbers on my face, you won't find thirteen any place.
A: We're not numbers; we're people.
Q: Tear one off and scratch my head; what was once red is black instead.
A: Violence is wrong.
Q: Riddle me this, riddle me that, who's afraid of the big, black bat?
A: It's okay to be afraid sometimes.
Q: We're five little items of an everyday sort; you'll find us all in 'a tennis court'.
A: Exercise is important.
Q: The eight of us go forth, not back, to protect our king from a foe's attack.
A: Going backwards is not progress.
Q: Who is Batman?
A: I'm Batman.
