Shuckle on its own is pretty subpar, but the support it brings to its team is pretty ridiculous. Sticky Web Offense is really easy to use and the victor is almost decided the instant Team Preview shows up. Shuckle itself isn't broken but with the support it can bring and the defining a really powerful playstyle, it doesn't belong in a healthy metagame.

Shuckle is utterly cancerous to the metagame. You can't use Taunt to prevent him from setting up Sticky Web & Stealth Rocks because of Mental Herb. His immense bulk makes it nearly impossible to OHKO him. Add in the ability Sturdy and knocking out Shuckle in one hit becomes impossible. Shuckle's HO team is accompanied by five offensive powerhouses, so getting rid of his hazards is not an easy task. Not every team is going to use Xatu to "counter" Shuckle. Ban please.

Very easy to get recs for shuckle using shuckle ho team (with soundproof exploud really screwing over other teams lol). I understand alot of peole used shuckle as it takes less time to get recs. But man sticky web makes it really easy to neuter alot of top tier threats that rely on speed like delphox, zororak, durant, jolteon etc, and shuckle with mental herb makes it so easy to do so. Getting up the stealth rocks makes it even better and hits all the pokes that dont get affected by sticky web barring sigilyph. Pairing it up with super strong attacks like hitmonlee hjk, exploud boomburst, cb emboar, and you have a very difficult core to stop. As a result I noticed alot of pokemon that were levitated that were not affected by sticky web, which is a way to mitigate damage, but obviously restricts team building. Of course doublade and braviary make it extremely risky to remove hazards. However, while I am still on the fence as to whether sticky web or shuckle should be banned, seeing the premiere sticky webber remoed from the team will allow, imo, bulky offense to reappear more effectively. Then we can see from there.
