Other Fighting-type Pokemon also benefit from the set's capabilities. For example, Terrakion no longer has to worry about Fairy- or Poison-types after they've been crippled by Keldeo, and meaning it can dish out powerful Close Combats with little resistance.

Does the Petaya Berry really need a mention? I haven't used this set, so I might be completely wrong about this, but I always kinda thought that a big perk of the Salac Berry was so that you could Sub down into Salac Berry range and outspeed basically everything at +1. That way, you could outspeed and Endeavor the opponent to low health before going down. Also, maybe a spread with 8 HP EVs? On the one hand, you'll have to Sub 4 times before you can activate the Salac Berry instead of 3. On the other hand, you can Endeavor the opponent down to 1 HP instead of 81, which will make them easier to pick off. Not sure how important that is, though, so I'll leave that up to someone who has used the set more.

ya the set should let you create 4 subs, you want 1 hp endeavor more than salac activation. so move the 4 evs to spdef or whatever.

deslash petaya, which is meh at best because the whole idea of the berry is like, you sub down and then thundurus comes in to revenge, you can outspeed and kill it with a sub up by subbing on the tbolts. or latis, same thing. petaya doesn't really do anything significant besides a situational, menial power boost, which is certainly not enough to deserve a slash.

besides burn the biggest reason to use scald is accuracy over hydro, you have to mention that.

Technically you Sub down to 3 HP. Not that it probably makes a huge difference, but you need either 8 HP EVs or 0 EVs with a 29 HP IV to Sub down to 1 HP.

The Pokemon you mentioned are just really good answers to Fighting-types in general; I could also see Breloom and, to a lesser extent, Terrakion and Mega Heracross also appreciating Keldeo's ability to lure in certain Pokemon.
