yes that would be considered a hack and the offsprings of that pokemon would be considering hacks as well

Yeah, its always going to be considered hacked. If you're trying to get a legit fossil pokemon, caught in a different ball. I'm afraid you're out of luck :(
I assumed those existed (Kabuto evidently was released in the Dream World), just extremely rare.
You do know you could catch most of the fossils (bar archeops I believe, who was male only event iirc) in different pokeballs in the dream world, right?

Jumping off this, I want to be sure, was the parent considered hacked because it was Powersaved, or because the Pokemon (theoretically) could not come in a different ball?

If you want a challenge do this
egg moves rollout, spikes, defense curl
Powersaved. Honestly I'm fine with people who hack balls onto the parent just to breed. Most people aren't though

Try HP Ice Jolteon, or HP Fire Magnezone
