I guess it's a matter of opinion but it isn't against site rules. He put a lot of time into it, so I don't consider it a hack. I guess that's where I draw the line, as I accept Shiny Mew, that have been RNG abused on an entirely hacked game (I consider emulators a product not endorsed by Nintendo) and then injected into retail games with an action replay code. This Mewtwo got one of it's move tutors from a in game glitch, and I consider that legitimate, as I have duplicated entire monsters from trading/battle tower glitches. It's just part of the game. Thanks for posting though, I appreciate that you're trying to help. ^_^

Mimic glitch is fine to teach a Mewtwo caught in FR/LG Self Destruct, I'm not sure if this Mewtwo was caught in FR/LG or HG/SS, but if caught in FR/LG then it's fine (however I'm pretty sure you're right if it was the latter).

Edit: Actually I'm not 100% sure about the first case either, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the name, it never occured to me about the 5 character limit. The save file I used to get Mew was simply loaded onto the Japanese emulator (the Pokemon I used to catch Mew, which was Breloom, did have the name BRELO btw lol). If this is illegal, I'm sorry about that then, but I didn't know. If this is a problem however, I'd like to mention that I have not seen such a legit Mew yet (because any save file started in Japanese would have to have Japanese characters then).

Dude, I don't expect you to learn Japanese to reset me a Shiny Mew. I think it's fine to start the game in English and put your name on it, then change it to Japanese when you go for Mew. It's not as if the restrictions posted above could ever actually happen and a truly legit shiny mew could ever be spawned. People know they are getting an emulator RNG when they buy it and if they aren't okay with emulator RNGs they shouldn't trade for it to begin with. That being said, if they are okay with an Emulator RNG mew, then why wouldn't they be okay with everything the emulator can do? Do they expect you to play the game in Japanese just so they can kid themselves and pretend it's something that isn't even possible? Pfft. What are you talking about? Regarding the first post, you *COULD* just name your character a english word in 5 letters... For example, I wanted to name my player "Lockie" but I couldn't so I just called it "Eon". It's got nothing to do whether the Mew is english or not. It's the fact that his name is one more letter than it should be, and is only possible to get that with external intervention (or, substituting save files). It's also got nothing to do with the fact Mew was emulator RNG abused.

I'm not saying Thomaz is a hacker or anything, I believe these Pokémon were RNG abused by he accidentally created an illegal Pokémon with the Mew.

So, here's what's gonna happen you can trade the Mew but you have to specify that it came from loading an english sav loaded on a japanese rom, that way people have fair warning and know why the OT length is longer than permitted on a japanese game.

Don't think the monster is illegal. It's just clearly RNG abused on an emulator, because he did something you can only do on an emulator. My computer runs at roughly 750% with ups and downs lol. I wish I could speed it up but oh well. Still won't take too long, hopefully somewhere around next week lol. It is actually thanks to this long discussion that I learned how to rng my TID/SID combination, which means I can reset for every fast or easy spread there is. Pretty cool. In the long run, this is much better. It's sad about that character limit, but I didn't realise it and I'll fix it with a 5 character name. =)

I decided on a later Timid spread though just so that it has less Atk (this one has 14 Atk). 28 Atk is yuck and if you want high Atk for U-turn, it's better to get the 31 Atk one anyway.
