Overview
########

Lickilicky has a nice HP stat and access to Wish, making it a good Wish passer; it can also act as a decent phazer with Dragon Tail. In addition, Lickilicky's higher bulk and great ability in Oblivious, which prevents it from being Taunted, give it an advantage over its main competition, Audino. Despite the advantages, Audino has one key thing that Lickilicky does not: Regenerator. Lickilicky also has decent, but not great offenses, meaning it can have trouble breaking past Pokemon with recovery.

Support
########
name: Support
move 1: Wish
move 2: Protect
move 3: Body Slam
move 4: Dragon Tail / Heal Bell
ability: Oblivious
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
nature: Careful

Moves
========

Wish works well in conjunction with Lickilicky's great HP stat to restore the health of it and its teammates, which is especially useful for those that lack reliable recovery. Protect ensures that Lickilicky receives the recovery from Wish and makes it more difficult for special attackers to break through it. Body Slam is an excellent STAB move for the third slot, as it deals decent damage with a good chance to paralyze. Finally, Dragon Tail is the best move in the last slot to phaze enemy setup sweepers and rack up entry hazard damage. However, on certain teams, Heal Bell is a more useful move to let Lickilicky act as a cleric.

Set Details
========

The given EVs maximize Lickilicky's special bulk, allowing it to take hits from some of the strongest special attackers in the tier. Like most support Pokemon, Lickilicky prefers to hold Leftovers due to the slow HP recovery the item provides, letting it regain HP with Protect. Oblivious is Lickilicky's best ability, preventing it from being Taunted; Own Tempo is situational, only preventing the much rarer confusion, while Cloud Nine is illegal in combination with Wish. A Careful nature is the best one for this set, as it further improves Lickilicky's already good Special Defense to let it better tank hits.

Usage Tips
========

The best time to switch Lickilicky in is when your team is threatened by one of the numerous special attackers in the tier. Then,(AC) proceed to heal up with Wish and Protect. After using Wish, Body Slam should be used to deal damage, break Substitutes, and possibly spread paralysis. On the other hand, Dragon Tail should be used when a foe attempts to set up on Lickilicky. Lickilicky likes to keep its own Wishes in order to stay at a decent amount of health, allowing it to switch in later if needed. Wish can also be used to heal other members of the team. (this is repetitive + implied)

Team Options
========

Lickilicky fits best with teammates that lack recovery and appreciate its ability to pass Wishes, including Uxie, Rhydon, and Poliwrath. Bulky Pokemon that resist Fighting are excellent teammates to cover Lickilicky's lone Fighting-type weakness. Granbull deserves a special mention for its high physical bulk, which pairs well with Lickilicky's special bulk. An entry hazard user such as Ferroseed or Qwilfish is greatly appreciated, especially if Lickilicky is running Dragon Tail, to rack up damage on the opposing team. Finally, if it does not have Heal Bell, Lickilicky appreciates another cleric on the team such as Vileplume or the aforementioned Granbull to rid it of crippling status.

Other Options
########

Knock Off is one of Lickilicky's best alternatives, removing the foe's item and dealing damage at the same time. It is usually outclassed by the main set's moves, however. A Choice Band set with Return, Power Whip, Knock Off, and Explosion is also a decent option for Lickilicky due to its surprise factor and good power. A Swords Dance set is the most notable other set, but it is slow, can be revenge killed after setting up, and doesn't have much coverage. In terms of other moves, Lickilicky has a huge movepool with many special options, including Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Surf, Ice Beam, and Focus Blast, but it lacks a good special STAB move and these moves would be weak without the aid of Life Orb. Finally, Toxic might seem like a good option on the support set, but Lickilicky usually prefers the moves listed.

Checks & Counters
########

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types, such as Sawk, Primeape, and Hariyama, can usually take care of Lickilicky nicely with their super effective STAB moves. Gurdurr gets a special mention, as it can take all of Lickilicky's moves and use it as setup fodder.

**Klinklang**: Klinklang can use Substitute to avoid being phazed by Dragon Tail and proceed to set up with Shift Gear. Its Substitutes are also not broken by Body Slam, meaning it usually sets up for free.

**Entry Hazards**: Most entry hazard users, such as Ferroseed, Rhydon, and Crustle, have nothing to fear from Lickilicky and can set up on it. This makes it harder for Lickilicky to heal its teammates, as it must use most of its Wishes on itself due to the entry hazard damage.

**Status**: Without Heal Bell or a cleric on the team, Lickilicky can be easily worn down by moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp from defensive Pokemon that it has no hope of breaking past.

**Strong Attackers**: Pokemon with high power, such as Choice Specs Typhlosion, Pyroar, and Dragalge, can break through Lickilicky if entry hazards are on the field or if Lickilicky is afflicted with status and therefore unable to use Protect to stall for Leftovers recovery.

I know this is a work in progress but for the first set I have found this set to be the best. From extensive testing, the only thing is that it needs a heal beller to be run in conjuction to get the Heal Bell/Aromatherapy support. Which isnt to hard when physical walls like vileplume and granbull exist. Also mention fighting resists such as Vileplume and especially Granbull who loves licky's wishes.
Lickilicky @ Leftovers
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Body Slam
- Dragon Tail

Mention Heal Bell under moves for SpDef.

I don't think I'd even use CB Lickilicky this gen. I loved it last gen, esp with TR support from stuff like Musharna, but this gen, I'd rather use Bouffalant. The only things it has over Bouff are Grass coverage, which you don't need because you have Earthquake, and Explosion, which is fun but that's basically it. You can't even really catch people off guard with it, at least not good players, because as soon as you click a move that isn't Explosion and it does a lot of damage, your opponent gonn be like

so idk if CB is even worth it

[Overview]
  • I would mention that a lot of the time Licky likes to keep its own wish so it faces competition from Audino, who gets regenerator, as a Wish Passer
  • On the Cleric part say it gets access to Wish, Protect, and Heal Bell making it a good support Pokemon
  • "No shortage of physical walls to take care of it" ----what does this mean? Are you saying its easily walled? I would either clarify this bit or remove
  • "Decent but not great offenses mean it may become setup fodder if not using an offensive set" I wouldnt say its set up fodder, the whole point of the set is that it can use D-tail to phase out pokemon like Feraligatr and Pawniard who might want to set up a SD, and it can break subs with STAB Body Slam, which it is running because it can break subs with it over something like Double-Edge for the extra power. It has to watch out for Substitute users who resist its STAB like KlingKlang, but thats about it.
  • Not exactly sure if it has 4MSS, running it in tandem with another Cleric is nice but not necessary, I'll wait on this bit to hear what other QC say about it
  • I would mention somewhere that its ability prevents it from getting taunted which is fantastic because it means that licky can do its job 100% of the time
[Moves]
  • Not sure about Knock Off getting mention in moves, other QC's thoughts?
[Usage Tips]
  • Explain how to prevent getting set up on, use D-tail to phase out pokemon like Feraligatr who might want to set up a SD, use body slam to break subs or spread paralysis
  • Mention that Licky likes to keep its own wishes and that it needs to stay above a certain amount of HP so it can switch in and take a hit without dying while trying to pass a wish
[Team Options]
  • "Being a support Pokemon, Lickilicky does not need much support of its own" take this out, Licky does need support, it needs switch ins to fighting types, other pokemon to run heal bell for it etc. etc.
  • "Lickilicky fits best with teammates that can abuse Wish due to lacking recovery" Give examples of team mates that appreciate a wish, for instance walls that have no recovery, or bulky sweepers
  • Mention Clerics under here, for instance Granbull (you've already mentioned but not that it can provide heal bell support) Vileplume and others
[Other Options]
  • CB set
[Checks & Counters]
  • I would mention that Licky can get overpower by strong attackers if hazards are up or if Licky is statused as it can not protect to regain HP

Remove mentions of Spiritomb and Omastar

[Overview]
Remove the part about walls as the offensive set wasnt given more than an OO mention.
Remove the part about 4MSS it doesnt really suffer from it

[Set]
Slash Heal Bell after Dragon Tail
Remove Knock Off and place it in oo give it a strong mention though

[C&C]
Remove Physical Walls, they cant really do much back either aside from status.

Add in status, as without Heal Bell Licky can get easily worn down.

Add in Klinkklang (can sub so cant be dragon tailed and body slam doesnt break the sub)

Do this and [QC 1/3]

Also please reply when you have stuff updated.

The Overview really needs to stress its niches over Audino. Right now, you focus far too much on obvious traits (movepool + bulk), which people can just find out by scrolling down the analysis. This Pokemon in particular needs to be emphasized as something that isn't necessarily bad, but mostly outdone by something else in a lot of situations. Rework the Overview around its niches (higher bulk + Oblivious + Dragon Tail) as well as its competition from Audino (with the former lacking Regenerator, which is pretty huge).

Mention the moves you can run on CB Lickilicky in Other Options. "Lickilicky can utilize a choice band set with strong physical moves such as return explosion power whip and knock off..." for example.

Mention some specific strong attackers in C&C such as specs Typhlosion, Pyroar, Dragalge, etc. that can 2HKO after lefties and a turn of protect with hazards up. If you're mentioning Klinklang in C&C you might as well mention Belly Drum Slurpuff Variants as they effectively get a free Belly Drum on Lickilicky.

Since you've implemented Dat Blast's changes already I think this is good enough for a check.

Please beef up C&C and provide specific examples of scenarios that Lickilicky would encounter.

Why is Slurpuff in C&C? It risks a lot just to be able to set up on Lickilicky what with the powerful Body Slam and risk of paralysis.

List entry hazards in its place instead. Most entry hazard users, such as Rhydon, Crustle, Qwilfish, Ferroseed, Seismitoad, etc.. don't fear Lickilicky all that much and set up with ease against it. The entry hazards put much greater pressure on Lickilicky to heal itself instead of its teammates; it's pretty much the biggest reason why people consider Audino over Lickilicky.

In Team Options you don't really need to explicitly state that every one of its teammates likes Wish support, because just about every single Pokemon in the game "likes" it. Also I'm not too sure about Mismagius and Rotom being listed as specific partners; they really don't capitalize on Fighters ~that~ well, and other than that they don't support each other a whole lot.

Ghost-types are kind of a weird mention in C&C too, they can't actually do much back and Lickilicky should usually have Dragon Tail.

Tag me back when you're done with this and I'll stamp ashiemore

Changed the specific mentions of Wish and removed Ghost-types (the ones I had listed before aren't don't have the bulk to capitalize on Fighting-types.) I can't think of any common bulky Ghost-types that use substitute anyway so the mention in C&C was removed as well.

**Status**: Without Heal Bell or a cleric on the team, Lickilicky can be easily worn down by moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp from defensive Pokemon that it has no hope of breaking past.

**Strong Attackers**: Pokemon with high power, (comma) such as Choice Specs Typhlosion, Pyroar, and Dragalge, (comma) can break through Lickilicky if entry hazards are on the field or if Lickilicky is statused and therefore unable to use Protect to stall for Leftovers recovery regain HP.

Overview

Despite the advantages, Lickilicky faces stiff competition from Audino, which has one key thing that Lickilicky does not: Regenerator. (You said Audino was Lickilicky's competition in the previous sentence) Lickilicky also has decent, but not great offenses, meaning it can have trouble breaking past Pokemon with recovery.

Moves
========

Wish works well in conjunction with Lickilicky's great HP stat to restore the health of it and its teammates, which is especially useful for those that lack reliable recovery. Protect ensures that Lickilicky receives the recovery from Wish and makes it more difficult for special attackers to break through it. Body Slam is an excellent STAB move for the third slot,(AC) to do as it deals decent damage with a good chance to paralyze. Finally, Dragon Tail is the best move in the last slot to phaze enemy setup sweepers and rack up entry hazard damage. However, on certain teams, Heal Bell is a more useful move to let Lickilicky act as a cleric.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Wish can also be used to heal other members of the team if needed. (this is repetitive + implied)

Team Options
========

Finally, if it does not have Heal Bell, Lickilicky appreciates another cleric on the team such as Vileplume or the aforementioned Granbull to rid it of crippling status, such as Vileplume or the aforementioned Granbull.

Other Options
########

Knock Off is one of Lickilicky's best other options alternatives, removing the foe's item and dealing damage at the same time. In terms of other moves, Lickilicky has a huge movepool with many special options, including Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Surf, Ice Beam, and Focus Blast, but it lacks a good special STAB move,(RC) and these moves would be weak without the aid of Life Orb.

**Strong Attackers**: Pokemon with high power, such as Choice Specs Typhlosion, Pyroar, and Dragalge, can break through Lickilicky if entry hazards are on the field or if Lickilicky is statused afflicted with status and therefore unable to use Protect to stall for Leftovers recovery.
