The whole idea of this set is to take out an opposing offensive threat who has maybe set up such as Ninetales or RD Poliwrath. You bring it in, use Endure, and they knock you down into Custap range. You now have a priority Destiny Bond to take out the threat. With this spread, Seed Bomb 2HKOs standard Poliwrath and Fire Blast 2HKOs Jumpluff, Tangela, and Pawniard.

Gourgeist is a cool poke however is going out of favour recently due to the increase of other grass types, well roselia. This set is nice as it allows gourg to mess with roselia which uses you as fodder while also becoming an anti lead. It also helps vs toxic armaldo trying to spin, and its not like seed bomb is very useful as you either force waters out or get 2HKOd on the switch and ground and rocks take a ton from foul play while hate being burnt.

This may not be too innovative but it cannot do much else ngl also i love its smile in this pic :D

Decided to put a spin on Gourgeist-Super and took an offensive Trick Room approach. Seed Bomb is for STAB, Rock Slide hits Fire-types super effectively that resist Seed Bomb while Focus Blast lures in and OHKOs Pawniard. Nothing real fancy about this set. Life Orb guarentees that Rock Slide OHKOs Ninetales and Rapidash after Stealth Rock damage.

So this set aims to be a general annoyance to mons such as poliwrath who only have one way coverage to hit it. The game plan is simple: you sub down and disable what they hit you with. This set works wonders versus things like Jumpluff, Poliwrath, and Regice.

Fire Blast also hits other Grass types like Tangela and Roselia, the only real benefit of Focus Blast is probably hitting Probopass.

Man Gourgeist has a small movepool, well the point of this sets is to use its decent atk set and nice coverage along with that 99 (sadly not 100) base speed. It hits hard anything it can hit SE, and then can proceed to trick a CB onto a mon like roselia, and then destiny bonds to murder another mon, effectively doing a 2 for 1.

You can also use Small for this, it's just a bit harder to find a free slot. Skill Swap allows you to take advantage of stuff that usually switch in for free. You get to steal Natural Cure off Roselia to heal off its Sludge Bomb poison or TSpike poison. You get to steal Flash Fire from Ninetales, Heatmor and Rapidash so that you actually wall them O_O and be quite difficult to take down. You can also steal Regenerator from Tangela and rob stuff like Stoutland and Poliwrath of their abilities. You can run Frisk over Insomnia, but I just put Insomnia here because it's cool to prevent RestTalk Machoke and Rest Roselia from healing up on you.

Also, where did the trick scarf set go? Some mixture of Trick / Dbond / Sneak / Rock Slide / Seed Bomb is really effective I've been finding. You can Dbond Rapid Spinners as they attempt to kill you with Knock Off (Armaldo), Avalanche (Avalugg, which is still on the ladder), Lava Plume or Fire Blast (Torkoal), etc. and keep up hazards on the other side of the field for the whole match.
