Update time! Once again, the update is accompanied by a tune from our Announcer:

Now playing: Pentatonix - Problem

Before the day is even over, three fourths of the remaining dwellers of the Mojave cast their votes on the same person, the target in question included. Rather die with some honour left than to just fizzle out, right? Sounds like the Legion thing to do. As you strip down Celever before the lynch, you find a note:

Dear Celever,

you are Legate Lanius.

“We shall see how brave you are when nailed to the walls of Hoover Dam, your body facing west so you may watch your world die.”

Your nickname is “The Monster of the East”, and for good reason; you are known as the most ruthless member of the Legion, which also earned you the name “Lanius”, Latin for “Butcher”. You don’t actually care much about the Legion itself, but what you do care about is Caesar’s will. Caesar has entrusted you to lead the assault on Hoover Dam.

You are the Legion Post Restrictor. Every night, you may send a PM to the hosts, titled “Night X - Give <USER> a post restriction’’. With this PM, you may include a certain phrase or sentence that the targeted user must include in each of their posts the next day.

As a member of the Legion, you are allowed to talk to your fellow bad-guys in The Fort, which is the conversation on Smogon going by the same name.

You are allied with Caesar’s Legion. You win when the Legion eliminates the Wastelanders, or if nothing can prevent the same.
Turns out that Celever was not a disguised Chief Hanlon after all. The death of the Butcher marks another point of celebration for the Wastelanders, as this means the end of Caesar's faithful right hand and executor.

Was including a post restrict in an NOC game a good idea? Maybe not. More on this in the post-game.

This post marks the beginning of Night 5. Night 5 will end at the latest on June 7th, at 1AM GMT+2 (CET Summer Time), or in 48 hours from this post. Please get in your actions before then.

As the Wastelanders celebrate the fall of Caesar's faithful right hand. The announcer plays a celebratory song, that boosts everyone's spirits. Some of them, even jigged on the streets to the music.

While the Legion were not too happy of the consequence, they still had to clench their teeth and blend in with everyone.

Tonight may very well be the night, when the fate of the Wastelanders and the Legion are sealed. Which way will it go? The Climax is here folks, don't miss a beat.

All results are in, meaning we can go to an earlier update once again!

After waking up from a night of solid rest, you sort of expect to find another decapitated body in the desert; instead, all you find are pieces of meat, spread around - the mark of someone being blown apart by a Displacer Glove. The killer took care to leave behind a piece of paper belonging to the victim, though:

Dear Spiffy,

you are Oliver Swanick.

“Fuck off! Win your own fucking lottery!”

You were once with the Powder Gangers - but Powder Gangers are small-time, and you’re a fucking winner. When Caesar’s Legion rolled into the town of Nipton and decided the faith of the town through a lottery, you were the only one lucky enough to walk away unharmed. Now you have decided to leave the Powder Gangers and make it big in the world, because that’s what winners do.

You are a Wastelander Lucky Convict. You have no night action. However, because you’re a lucky son-of-a-bitch, you will survive the first nightkill placed on you by Caesar’s Legion. Your Powder Gangers outfit (and general annoying behavior) makes you unwanted by the other Wastelanders, though - during lynches, you will be lynched one vote before majority (L-1: for example, if 6 votes is majority, you are lynched at 5).

You are allied with the Wastelanders. You win if the Wastelanders eliminate Caesar’s Legion or if nothing can prevent the same.
Looks like the luck of the winner of the Nipton lottery has finally ran out.

Night results are going out right now. Do not respond until I confirm all of them are out.

ok i expected me or spiffy to perish so that's no surprise, like spiffy said if celever had two buddies left then mylo would've been announced at the start of yesterday, there should be one mafia left so the village should be able to win this game today so let's get on this

when celever was trying to throw suspicion on vonfiedler he said haunted was voting for von in order to clean his scumbuddy, when i pointed out that the same logic could apply to haunted's vote on pokeguynxb it was dismissed by celever in a crappy fashion, i believe a good case can be made for pokeguynxb being the remaining mafia

celever the post restrictor has used the restriction gimmick to try to clean his buddy haunted in the past, it is very possible that by imitating odd ghost's way of misnaming pokeguynxb he deliberately wants us to see odd ghost as a poor villager framed by the mafia, odd ghost should also be therefore up for consideration

otherwise i wouldn't be opposed to a mass claim today as this is potentially the last day in the game, no point putting it off any longer

I can't make a lengthy post yet. Until I do I don't want to see Pokeguy, or anyone for that matter, hammered.

From where I sit I consider both Fate and Mithril 100% clean. That gives us two days to figure out the mafia between Pokeguy, Odd Ghost, and Jalmont.

Fate has summed up my feelings about Pokeguy and Odd Ghost fairly well. Celever claimed to have inspected nobody that really mattered except Jalmont. Claiming inspector is quite an all in, but even then this could have been a backup plan to incriminate him. Also somehow I doubt Jalmont would kill Spiffy before Fate. But I want to hear what the rest of you think about him.

Wait just one second von. Not so fast.
Dear PokeguyNXB,

you are Benny.

“Anyhow, baby, you didn’t come here for vengeance. You came to get clued in.”

Once you were a simple member of a tribe, but since then you have made a name for yourself as head of the Chairmen who run the Tops Casino on the Strip. From your suite there, you were planning a takeover of New Vegas, but that plan will have to wait for now. You’ve proven yourself a skilled tracker, able to follow even the best delivery men all the way through the Mojave Desert.

You are a Wastelander Tracker. Every night, you may send a PM to the hosts, titled “Night X - Track <USER>’’. Successfully doing so will inform you of who your target had visited that night.

You are allied with the Wastelanders. You win if the Wastelanders eliminate Caesar’s Legion or if nothing can prevent the same.
He targeted both Spiffy and Mithril last night. Two targets. And one of them's dead. A mafia kill and some other action perhaps? Like oh, i don't know... a hook? Mithril if you got the visited the fort message again last night, say so ASAP and even if you don't believe me or this falls through and I'm inevitably either lynched today or killed the following night, we humble Wastelanders still win D7! I think I caught one, but if I'm wrong, you can blame me for being a total noob and losing us the game. I'd deserve it.... i haven't been making that much contribution, i know. But I'm pretty sure my tracking of von last night just won us the game

Lynch vonFiedler

And on the topic of the Celever lynch, it could have very easily been von bussing him. Any thoughts?

Time for some Phoenix Wright music, set the proper mood.

um excuse me posting music is my job

PokeguyNXB if you are who you say you are please post all your night results and also your reasoning for tracking those people on those nights

Mithril please post confirming if you were hooked or not, or were you targeted by some other action

vonFiedler what is your rebuttal to this

I was indeed hooked again
Yup, we caught him.

Fatecrashers here you go
N1 - sunny, this was basically a rand... but i could've used it to save him D4, but i decided against it because I didn't want to out myself too soon... there's no real point in saving a vanilla unless it's lylo/mylo imo
N2 - Spiffy, he seemed scummy to me up to this point, and me seeing he didn't target anyone was why i believed his claim the following day
N3 - Mithril, I didn't know what to think of him up until this point... he targeted Celever here, but Celever wasn't effected by anything negative, so i assumed town pr but was still a little suspicious of him tbh
N4 - Odd Ghost, again i wasn't really sure about him, he didn't target anyone though, probably vanilla since MC wasn't asking for missing actions that night
N5- von, you guys know the rest

So... Are there really two mafia left that are both von and pokeguy? Because if they are this would have been brilliant, except for one problem. They gambled on me having a night role. It's pretty hard to target anybody with no role.

I don't understand what von's comment means; is he admitting to being mafia there???

If not, then it's pokeguy since he would be lying about his results, and there would be no reason to lie at this point. Interesting.

Wayan Vistar

formerly Flyhn
It's confirmed at this point that there's only one mafia left... but this doesn't make sense. How could I have tracked Mithril visiting Celever... when he didn't? This IS extremely bizarre... vonFiedler can you please claim? I'd like to know how you targeted two people

I mean the fact that he didn't immediately claim after you posted is pretty telling too. You would think if you were lying he would've immediately disputed that. IDK, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for the Mithril track but I think we need to figure that out before we decide on lynching anybody.
