[OVERVIEW]

While Leavanny faces competition from Kricketune, which has access to Taunt and Endeavor, Leavanny's access to Magic Coat, Grass-type STAB moves, and better Speed make it arguably the better Sticky Web setter. While Kricketune can do well against stall, using Knock Off and Endeavor to remove items and severely weaken foes, Leavanny can Knock Off items as well and can bounce back a status move or entry hazard with Magic Coat. Leavanny's solid Speed allows it to outpace most leads in the tier bar Accelgor and Archeops, as well as allowing it to outpace many entry hazard removers, such as Kabutops, Shiftry, defensive Flygon, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop. A downside to using Leavanny is that Sticky Web isn't very effective in the tier.

A Focus Sash allows Leavanny to survive a single hit and almost guarantee that it will get Sticky Web up against the opposing team. Chlorophyll only comes into play against uncommon sun teams, although it's Leavanny's best option if it isn't using a Bug-type move.

Usage Tips

If you predict the foe to use an entry hazard or status move, use Magic Coat. Sticky Web is Leavanny's main priority and should be used first unless an opportunity to use Magic Coat or an attacking move is present. Leavanny should be the lead for any team it is on so it can get Sticky Web up early-game to cripple the opposing team. Leavanny should be wary of a Pokemon with Magic Coat or Magic Bounce, such as Xatu, which can bounce back its Sticky Web and cripple your team instead.

Braviary can be an effective teammate for Leavanny, as it deters the use of Defog. Braviary can also become a cleaner if a foe uses Defog against it. Ghost-type Pokemon, such as Mismagius, Jellicent, Spiritomb, and Mega Banette, can block Rapid Spin in order to keep Sticky Web up. Attackers with mediocre Speed, such as Emboar, Exploud, Tyrantrum, Medicham, and Mega Banette, appreciate Sticky Web to allow them to outpace Pokemon that they normally wouldn't. Rock-types such as Tyrantrum and Kabutops, Electric-types such as Rotom-C and Eelektross, and Ice-types such as Mega Glalie and Sneasel can take on Flying-types, which avoid Sticky Web's effects. Sneasel can also take on most Pokemon with Levitate, such as Flygon, Mespirit, Uxie, Misdreavus, and Bronzong.

Leavanny could fill the role of a sun sweeper with Swords Dance, but it is outclassed by Shiftry in this role.

In OO, mention how Leaf Blade fails to OHKO Rhyperior unlike Leaf Storm but allows Leavanny to potentially 1 v 1 Jellicent with 50-50s of Magic Coat and Leaf Blade.

Maybe Knock Off there too? Allows you to remove Eviolite from Togetic and potential Choice Scarf from other pokemon which can be crucial for the team

In C&C, add in Steel-types as they're one of the best counters to Leavanny. Stuff like Cobalion, Durant, Registeel, (not that common tho)and Escavalier use Leavanny as setup fodder while Mega Steelix can heavily damage it.

For Fire-types, i don't really think Houndoom walls Leavanny when X-Scissor 2HKOes it

For Rock-types, mention how though Rhyperior and Crustle do not like taking a Leaf Storm, it can OHKO it even through a sash with a good amount of hits with Rock Blast.

i'll echo most of what kal said, given it's all rather pertinent. honestly, the only 'lead' out of those mentioned is gonna be archeops, since sash dugtrio shouldn't be a thing is this tier and the others are merely "pokemon that note a probable leavanny lead and look to limit it to 1 turn", which is different to the point of being something to actively distinguish. when contrasting leavanny and kricketune, it's important to note that kricketune retains at least moderate application in more defensive match-ups, being able to knock off as well as annoy things a bit better via taunt + endeavor cheese, whereas leavanny /maybe/ has the ability to surprise a guy w/the magic coat to grab a spike or something (and that shouldn't assumed, given it's a main set option). this is significant b/c webs users are oftentimes restricted in their application in defensive match-ups, which is a point i'd like to see highlighted.

as for moveset, i honestly don't consider x-scissor to be relevant at this point, given how narrow defog shiftry's usefulness is in tandem w/how much less significant chipping into psychics has become of late. what i might give consideration to, and this is something other qc can weigh in on, is to make the last slot (electro web / knock off), and just slap on chloropyll for ability. an issue i might acknowledge w/typical kricketune builds is that certain faster-end boosters can simply go in t1, avoid endeavor through some means or another, and clean from there due to the fact that kricketune is somewhat restricted in its ability to handle faster boosters. electroweb is a move that allows leavanny to further distinguish itself here, both stunting the speeds of such pokemon to the point where conventional webs 'mons can outpace and rk handily (things like durant, virizion, sneasel, etc. will all be slower than your conventional nukes at -1, scrafty can't just dd twice and go in, etc.), in addition to substantiating it's match-up w/archeops (since mc deters taunt, it can just go for electroweb t1, then ko at worst, get webs up at best). knock off is more a vanilla "gives it some value v.fatter balance / stall b.c otherwise its dead weight", but it's ok if you're packing something like a sash sigilyph to suppress offensive counterplay.

Merge all the other categories into something along the lines of "offensive presence" because I mean really Leavanny's gonna die to any two hits from any offensive Pokemon.

In the set itself, you forgot to put "252 Spe"

I also don't like the couple points in overview talking about how it's outclassed and weak to stuff etc, Leavanny is meant to set up sticky web (with the only other setter being Kricketune) and die, that's it, shouldn't be sweeping etc, so you could probably do with removing them.
