[OVERVIEW]

Lickilicky is one of the best walls in PU mostly due to its typing and high HP and Special Defense allowing it to take on special attackers such as Kadabra and Zebstrika. Its access to Wish and Heal Bell makes it the premier cleric in the metagame. However, Licklicky has to rely on Wish to keep itself healthy, making it easy to wear down when facing offensive teams. It is also outclassed as an offensive Normal-type by the likes of Bouffalant and Stoutland.

move 2: Protect

evs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
========

Wish allows Lickilicky to heal itself or one of its teammates. Protect is used to guarantee that Lickilicky recovers health after using Wish while also scouting the foe's moves, but foes can use this opportunity to switch out, set up entry hazards, or use a boosting move such as Nasty Plot. Body Slam is a solid STAB move that is able to break the Substitutes of frailer Pokemon such as Articuno and Ninetales while also providing a 30% chance to paralyze the foe. Knock Off is an excellent utility move for removing items such as Eviolite from Pokemon like Roselia while also being able to hit Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Dragon Tail can be used to phaze setup sweepers such as Ninetales while also racking up entry hazard damage. Heal Bell is another option, as it removes status ailments from Lickilicky and its teammates.

Set Details
========

Running 248 EVs in HP allows Lickilicky to pass the biggest Wishes possible while minimizing entry hazard damage. Maximum investment in Special Defense along with a Careful nature allows Lickilicky to take on special attackers easier. Leftovers provides passive recovery so that Lickilicky isn't so reliant on Wish to heal itself. Oblivious prevents Lickilcky from being Taunted so that it can support its teammates.

Usage Tips
========

Because of its good bulk, Lickilicky can switch into special attacks from Pokemon like Zebstrika and Kadabra. Wish should be used to keep Lickilicky healthy, but if you intend to pass one to a teammate, you should be mindful to keep Lickilicky's own health high and being wary of Pokemon that can deal heavy damage to the Wish recipient, as it can be KOed if it is frail or be phazed out, which will give the Wish to another Pokemon. Protect should be used to scout the foe's moves or to guarantee that Lickilicky restores it health using Wish. If Dragon Tail is run, use it to phaze setup sweepers looking to set up on Lickilicky.

Team Options
========

This set fits best on balance or defensive teams thanks to Lickilicky's ability to act as a reliable cleric and special wall. Entry hazard support from Pokemon like Roselia and Stunfisk benefits Lickilicky if it runs Dragon Tail, as it can rack up damage while phazing the foe. If Lickilicky forgoes Heal Bell, other clerics such as Grumpig and Misdreavus can run Heal Bell to rid Lickilicky of any crippling status. The former can also check Fighting-types for Lickilicky. If Lickilicky does run Heal Bell, Pokemon that appreciate cleric support such as Bouffalant, Dusknoir, and Sawsbuck make for good partners. Other Pokemon with good physical bulk such as Vullaby, Pelipper, Tangela, and Stunfisk can take physical hits for Lickilicky. Entry hazard removers such as Vullaby and Pelipper ease the pressure off of Lickilicky to constantly heal itself with Wish.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Toxic can be run to cripple bulky foes such as Tangela and Pelipper, but Lickilicky struggles to find space for it. Choice Band turns Lickilicky into an unexpected wallbreaker, but this is better done by other Normal-type wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Dodrio due to them being faster and having more offensive presence. A Swords Dance set can be used with moves like Return, Knock Off, and Earthquake, but this is better done by Bouffalant due to it having better bulk and setup opportunities.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Monferno and Machoke can both take a hit from Lickilicky and retaliate with Close Combat.

**Strong Attackers**: Physical attackers such as Stoutland and Ursaring can easily take out Lickilicky with their powerful STAB attacks due to its uninvested Defense. While Lickilicky can take special attacks well, Pokemon like Raichu and Simipour can 2HKO Lickilicky with their respective STAB attacks if they've gotten a Nasty Plot boost.

**Status Ailments**: Being burned severely cripples Lickilicky, while being poisoned puts it on a timer. Pokemon that can wear Lickilicky down with status ailments include Misdreavus, Gourgeist-XL, and Pelipper.

**Entry Hazards**: Stealth Rock and Spikes can easily wear down Lickilicky and force it to use Wish more often, while Toxic Spikes puts it on a timer if it doesn't carry Heal Bell.

This is QC ready. I apologize if the slashes for the main set is in the wrong order.

The overview should mention the issues at lickilicky has, mostly being either too passive or lacking he bulk to handle strong wallbreakers like stoutland that give it trouble. Put hazard removal and in particular grounded poison types in team options, as toxic spikes really limit this. Also put cloud 9 in OO. 1/3 TONE114

'Great ability in Oblivious prevents Lickilicky from being Taunted.' - not relevant enough for overview
'Is passive offensively and lacks the bulk to take on strong wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Ursaring.' - well that is bc they are physical attackers, licki can take on pretty much every special wallbreaker unless they carry low kick as coverage

Also the overview is very focused on the Sdef set, so saying things like 'passive offensively' seems weird when the second set is a wallbreaker

1st set:
Mention that body slam can break subs of articuno, ninetales and non-willo rotom, all those mons are big threats to bulky teams
Examples of dtail targets

'Ghost-types such as Misdreavus and Gourgeist make for good teammates as they are immune to Lickilicky's lone Fighting weakness while Lickilicky is immune to Ghost attacks in return.' - Both of those ghosts lose to monferno, and both struggle with guts machoke. There arent many reliable fighting switch ins, but mention revenge killers to them (ones that fit on bulky teams like pig)

2nd set:
imo all that speed isnt worth running, as u take on both peli and rose, and sleep powder rose will run speed creep. Enough speed for tangela/vullaby seems the most useful (which is 40 less than for peli/rose), and it lets you outspeed gourgeist-xl too

'This set can be used mid- to late-game' - it isnt going to sweep, so using it early/mid game is the best time

'Other set up sweepers such as Dragon Dance Fraxure and Nasty Plot Raichu can be run alongside Lickilicky as they can wear down each other's checks and counters.' - the best checks to all these mons are faster pokes, so that doesnt work well. Additionally no one is trying to check lickilicky with stunfisk or roselia, so np chu isnt exactly an amazing team mate. Also licki doesnt really need anything significantly warn down (like chip damage on reli/mahoke/etc is all it really needs)
'Wallbreakers such as Stoutland, Ursaring, and Simisage wear down the opponent's team allowing Lickilicky to clean up.' - lickilicky is a wallbreaker not a cleaner

oo:
Thunderpunch isnt worth mentioning as sd doesnt struggle much with pelipper
Cloud nine is illegal with wish, and all it does is mean you take a bit less from golduck, which you have a better matchup w/ if you run wish so it isnt worth mentioning

c&c:
It might be worth noting that raichu OHKOs lickilicky after a boost
I dont think residual damage is relevant enough for a section. It needs like rocks + several spikes in order for mons to start 2HKOing and all defensive teams should run hazard removal

[OVERVIEW]
mention its a good wall also bc of typing
wouldn't say it's passive offensively, it has decent off stats and ok coverage, it's just not worth using with offensive sets bc outdone by other offensive powerhouses that are around nowadays, to cite one bouffalant.

Usage Tips
========
mention you have to be weary of pokemon that can deal large damage to whoever lickilicky is passing wish to, as it could get KO'd if it is frail, or also roar and other phazers which will deflect wish to another mon

Team Options
========
well, mention it is viable on defensive teams also because its a good special wall, which is the main point of using lickilicky.
add something more about Pokemon that can take Fighting-types for Lickilicky, as fightingtypes are really popular atm and most of them such as machoke and monferno can take on most of the physical walls you mentioned
talk more about Pokemon that appreciate cleric support

Checks and Counters
===================
add entry hazards, they hinder lickilicky's durability and force it to use wish constantly, which can be taken advance of by most offensive teams, while if it doesnt run heal bell it also gets screwed by toxic spikes
