Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)

TIMELESS TOWER

Timeless Tower is an unfathomably large structure seated on an impregnable cliff-side. The tower's main spire looms over its entrance hundreds of feet into the air. Bridges extend from the main tower to three separate spires, each on an island pillar of immense density. The ocean roars violently below, beckoning you to stay away.

The bridge to the east leads to a tower frozen over in a massive pillar of ice. The sunlight glistens against its reflective surface, yet no melt can be shown. You look cold just staring at it.

The bridge to the west leads to a craggy pillar that seems to be etched from the very earth itself, impossibly dense and immovable.

A third tower can be seen behind the structure on your map, but it is eclipsed by the sheer enormity of the main spire. It is made of the sturdiest looking metal you have ever seen, an unnaturally purely refined solidity that shares the brilliant sheen of the icy tower and the sheer density of the crag.

As you go up to the entrance, the drawbridge on the main gate opens and falls with a loud crash onto the only access to the mainland. On either side of the bridge are statues of Golurk holding up massive spears. As you enter the main atrium, a massive statue of Golem rolled up into a ball takes the center of the arena. You look around the room and see exits your east and west going to the towers, stairs built into the floor going down presumably to the tower behind the main spire and a massive door with three slots in the gate. Depictions of the gate are on the left and right and show three stones being placed in the gate. Both mosaics are completely sand-colored except for the stones. One is an azure blue, one is a dull brown, and the other a shimmering silver. You attempt to push the gate, but it is so massively heavy you feel tired just pushing on it. It will not budge.

Recently, there have been reports of a large earthquake that shook the area. Ever since, the Pokemon in the area have become quite hostile, and most report the layouts of the dungeons having changed. You can even see that the towers seem somewhat shorter, though no less ominous.

What could this all mean? And where do you go from here?

Player Options:
a) Enter Ice Spire and get a subref.
b) Enter Rock Crag and get a subref.
c) Enter Iron Dungeon.
d) Admire Heaven's Ascent from a safe distance.
e) I refuse to show this option.

"Finally, we are here! It has been, what, a ton of months since we started preparing? Well, we are now only some more months away from having a legend! Let's get to it guys (and girl)!

I'm really curious about what woud happen if I took d, but I feel like it would not be a great idea to provoke Frosty. So, let's enter the Rock Crag Iron Dungeon!"

Stop whining ._. . Many people got legends out of me (most of them Floette-E -_-). Emma got like 2 or 3. It isn't rocket science. Just don't ask why I never succeeded myself.

Opening Gambit

Thinking that it might be safer in the Steel building as opposed to the unstable crag and freezing spire, you steel your courage and head into the Iron Dungeon. When you enter, you come across a hallway, laid out in regal glory, almost like a medieval castle of sorts. The only real difference is that it is made entirely out of metal, as opposed to stone. Statues line the walls, showing figures you don't quite recognize. Once you reach the end of the hall, you are confronted with a door, which has two figures placed upon the top, one black and one white, seeming to be in the image of chess pawns.

Without hesitation you open the door, to a strange sight. The floor is covered in an eight by eight grid of squares, alternating Black and White. The walls and ceiling look the same as when you came in, the dead, lifeless steel from before. You start to wonder where the exit to deeper into the dungeon is, when you're interrupted by a voice.

"Ah, another challenger wants to play? Very well, let the games begin! I'll give you the honor of playing the black pieces."

After the voice is finished, a door opens partway, big enough to crawl through, revealing two Pokemon ready to fight you. It's almost as if they were prepared for you coming...

Chessboard Chaos:
This 64x64 feet arena is comprised of an 8x8 grid of black and white tiles. To either side stand four statues, two on the left side, two on the right. On the ceiling, barely visible, is a set of four sprinklers, which seem to be outputting a light drizzle on the arena. Fortunately, it appears that there's a very small drain around the edge of the arena that prevents flooding.

Effects:
Constant Rain Dance
Rain Dance cannot be changed by weather rock, but Air Lock will still work.

Ok, enough johning. So many things that can go wrong.
Also, worst full para ever.

Also also, isn't Rev faster than Pawniard, and therefore should KO it before being hit by Aerial Ace and be at full HP?

Gallade: Skill Swap [Steadfast <-> Minus] (Klink) - Wish
- IF Damaging electric type move AND directed at you THEN Ally Switch (Camerupt) the first instance, pushing actions back.
- IF Klink is under the effects of a P/E move THEN Chill and push actions back.

Revenankh: Taunt (Klink) - Telekinesis (Klink)
- IF Magic Coat AND you are to use Taunt THEN Chill instead and push actions back.
- IF Klink is under the effects of a P/E move THEN Chill and push actions back.

Camerupt: Ember (Klink) - Chill
- IF Damaging steel type move AND directed at Gallade AND you are faster than Klink THEN Protect (Gallade) the first instance and Bodyblock (Gallade) the second, pushing actions back.

Yeah the afternoon became next day's early morning because I could not let a conference slip by since a teacher gave an extra point to everyone who assisted.

Let's see where we left.

... Yeah, me not like this.

I also swear I checked for Discharge before writing that sub.

Gallade:
Chill - Thunder Wave (Klink)

Camerupt:
Bodyblock (Gallade) - Bodyblock (Gallade)

Revenankh:
Moonlight - Chill

I'm doing this assuming that Poké Ball CHP damage rounds up. Please let me know otherwise.

Thank you :)

Also also also, I think you ignored my earlier comment regarding Revenankh's HP since he should move before Pawniard, I think?

Poke Ball CHP is rounded like hp. It is rounded normally at the end of the round and if the mon has 0.5 or less chp it is captured.

Sure, if you decide to be a smartsy-pantsy and throw one ball at a time expecting me to round each one as if they were different rounds...well...I won't recommend it as it may not work.

lemme know if you wanna change orders. You don't have much time for that btw so move fast fast fast.

Just popping in quickly.

TLR OP said:
When Cumulative Capture Damage > Target Capture HP (CHP), Capture occurs. Poke Ball Damage is always rounded.
Otherwise people would just use 1 per round anyway. So yeah, if a Pokéball does 49.5, it's rounded to 50. 49.45, and it will drop to 49. *vanishes out of the run again*

After the "pawns" are defeated, the door ahead opens fully, allowing you to press on. you head up a spiral staircase for quite some time, before you finally reach another door. This one has the image of a White chess Bishop atop it. Figuring that you're going to fight another of the mysterious voice's "pieces", you head on inside. Sure enough, the voice booms again.

"Ah, so you made it past the Pawns. Don't be too impressed with yourself. The real game's just beginning!"

Suddenly, another door opens, and mist comes out of it! When it clears, you notice that Gallade has gone missing! You search frantically around, while behind a hidden door a Mawile promptly eats an appetizer before turning to your Pokemon!

Alright... let's see how this works.

Pain Split - Skill Swap [Steadfast <-> Sheer Force] - Will-O-Wisp
- IF succesfuly P/E THEN Wish the first instance and Chill the second, pushing actions back.
- IF Taunt AND you are faster THEN Taunt and push actions back.

The lack of Substitute is just beautiful 8)
