Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Rest ~ Sleep Talk (Protect / Acid Armor / Iron Defense / Aqua Ring) ~ Sleep Talk (Protect / Acid Armor / Iron Defense / Aqua Ring) * If Protect is used A2 then replace A3 with Sleep Talk (Toxic Spikes / Acid Armor / Iron Defense / Aqua Ring)
* If you're awake then use Protect (the first time) and Moonlight (the second)
A very lucky Critical Hit upsets the orders of Gerard just a little bit! Mollux has healed a bit and has more to heal, but both it and its opponent are very low on Energy! Who knows what to expect next! Will they switch out? Will they have us lament over a round of chilling?
I am guessing Snatch uses 4 EN immediately, since you still spend it even if you dont actually steal anything. This would mean that Mollux should spend the 4 EN and 4 Priority, making it faint before stealing the Chill. IRC seems to agree with me on this, but it is not like i have any other options regardless.
I apologize to all parties involved. The Mod Team has spoken, and believes that Snatch will cost 4en before getting chill. And that a reorder is NOT to be granted.
This round ends as quickly as it starts, with Mollux petering out after attempting to steal some precious energy! Snorlax is still around with us, but at that same critical energy level. Can Gerard's next pokemon make the big lazy pokemon pay?
Before Mollux can snatch the chill, it uses up all its EN and KOes!
[This is the general consensus of #capasb, after hearing what multiple users have said. if you think this is wrong, talk to me please]
I'd seriously need to see your precedent for this, as this is not a thing to my knowledge. By my reckoning, a KOed Pokemon only appears to be under the effect of Protect because there's no fundamental difference between attacking a KOed mon and a mon who is under the influence of Protect =\
The difference works in doubles though I need to check the match were I saw it, as far as I reckon the effect remains even if the pokemon is KOed by energy exhaustion.
I saw that on Helping Hand more than once. But that is because Helping Hand is a one-stage attack (unless this changed), unlike snatch. Since the snatcher first gets ready and then snatches (there are two messages from the game), if the snatcher faints upon getting ready, then it can't really snatch anything as it faints beforehand.
BTW, deadline for this is January 4th Morning GMT -3.
(just so we can keep things going quick, mate/gerard highlight me when its my turn to ref, so that I can make it top priority and get it finished for you)
