6tennis' AV Conkeldurr. We seem to have collectively decided to use this selection plugging gaps, and AV Conk does an excellent job of that (besides uncomfortably compounding Talonflame weakness).

I think a fire and/or electric type should be next.

We now have two mons that hate Talonflame, and the other two aren't always the greatest against it either. And as others have said, we need a special attacker too.

NP Thund and Specs Rotom-H look like great options right now.

You missed Sobi's vote for Scarf Rotom-H, which means it tied with Conkeldurr. Shouldn't we have a tie-breaker or something?
Ugh. Yes I remember seeing that when I had the votes together. Not sure what happened when I made the post but we definitely had 12 votes.

Votes between AV Conkeldurr and Scarf Rotom H. The most votes in the next 12 hours wins. Same process, bold your vote.

Rotom H

Perhaps fitting that Sobi has the final vote! So Scarf Rotom H is on the team after a close tie break 4-3!

Rotom-Heat @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick

OK so discussion phase is now definitely OK to go ahead. Sorry for all of the fuss.

You guys really should address the Greninja problem at this point.
Sooner that than Talonflame because we can just run something fast for Greninja. Also now we have a special attacker yay.

Speaking of fast things, imma nom my Weavile from a few rounds back again because it beats Greninja and Gengar in one slot and helps against Garchomp too. I'll hold off until after discussion phase tho

Greninja is one issue that Rotom doesn't necessarily solve over AV Conk. Given the extensive nature of Greninja's coverage on top of it's power, I'm not necessarily sure how to fix it.

Power and Speed? Can something like Weavile switch in?

Oh and as I'm away this weekend, I'll hold off nomination phase until Sunday evening.

Can something like Weavile switch in?
Something like Weavile? Maybe.
Weavile? Not a chance.

0- Atk Protean Greninja Low Kick (60 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Weavile: 168-196 (115 - 134.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0- Atk Protean Greninja Low Kick (60 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Weavile: 168-196 (115.8 - 135.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

That's uninvested Timid Greninja without an item.

Between this, Scald burns, a potential Gunk Shot OHKO, a potential Hidden Power Fire OHKO, the rare Rock Tomb Greninja and the threat of Greninja missing the OHKO with any move but finishing Weavile with Shadow Sneak or Water Shuriken...

Greninja, ye say?

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Adamant, 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Speed
Ability: Guts

- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Scarf Hera gives you something fast (which everything so far very sorely lacks) to revenge kill, and generally smash into anything you need dead or weakened.
Megahorn rips into Cresselia (which we can hardly tickle with the above 5), Hydreigon, and Ludicolo. Knock Off is outright obnoxious and removes items from defensive and offensive threats alike, and also murders almost any form of Gengar, Mega or not. Stone Edge is generally coverage, but nails Thundy, Zapdos, Salamence, and Charizard pretty hard. Close Combat is accurate, powerful STAB for crushing Khan, Heatran, Infernape, etc.

Against Greninja, the LO sets are simply outsped and OHKO'd, against Sash, only the rare Extrasensory will KO Heracross (HP Fire will not KO with Sash), and with Talonflame comfortably handled by Rotom-H and Mence, Hera should be adequately covered by the above 5. Also acts as a status switchin, so that Mence doesn't have to eat a WoW or Toxic. Rotom-H sponges T-Wave from the vast majority of common users.

EVs are obvious, 4 Def reduces the odds of Psyshock from a few specific Psychic mons from KOing at full HP, and Adamant + Scarf outruns pretty much anything you'll ever need while Adamant adds much-needed power. Can easily rampage through a team once all resists to CC, Knock Off, or Megahorn are weakened or removed. Thanks to Hera's natural Special bulk, it can also maim a few neutral matchups like Rotom-W as well. Absurdly deadly if it nets a Guts boost but by no means required. From personal use, its pretty good against all Weather matchups: all inducers bar Hippowdon are outpsed and 2HKO'd at worst, along with common abusers like Ludicolo, Venusaur, and Excadrill.

Weavile can switch in but has to mind Scald Burns; LO Greninja can't OHKO without Low Kick. Same with Hera, but LOVES burns, and fears Extrasensory instead. With Sash Greninja, Heracross is in no danger of a 2HKO from Scald, while Weavile has ~56% chance to be 2HKO'd and can't handle a burn. Weavile can Fake Out -> Knock Off / Icicle Crash to avoid a 2HKO from all sets, Hera has to eat 1, maybe 2 hits from a full HP Sash set.

Scarf Rotom-H just won the poll and made it on the team. Item clause means no Scarf Heracross. :P
