With a sizable lead, dat boi GenOne takes the week! Congrats! though I'll have to spend extra 5 seconds erasing those item sprites for the OP alas,,,

This week, we're building around...

the Bronze Bell, Bronzong! Essentially a meme in XY, Bronzong rose to prominence this generation thanks to Z-Trick Room, which gives it an accuracy boost while reversing dimensions and thus making it a very dangerous momentum controller with improved-accuracy Hypnosis. The decreased presence of Amoonguss through the generation shift helped it as well, giving it one less Trick Room stopper to worry about, while the rise of Mega Salamence makes its typing much more key. Its still prey to the same old, same old though, and it's not noteworthy aside from its ability to put foes to sleep; this will give it issues against / with Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele due to their set Terrains clashing with Bronzong as they prevent foes from falling asleep.

Deadline of building on Saturday GMT noonish!

Bronzong is a pretty fun mon, but it is vulnerable to Fire-types and Dark-types, which are starting to look to more common. Araquanid deals with both of these types very well, so that determined my starting core. The next mon that I wanted to use was Marowak-A and it fits perfectly into the team. Its ability Lightning Rod stops Electric-type moves from hitting Araquanid. In return, Araquanid provide Wide Guard support and eliminates its threats. Next up, Tapu Bulu is there to remove Electric/Misty Terrain (this allows Brozong to use Hypnosis freely) and to eliminate bulky Water-types. P2 was selected as my second TR setter. It is EV'd to survive 2 LO-boosted Psychic from Tapu Lele, so yes, it's pretty hard to eliminate. My last mon is Kangaskhan-Mega because its Fake Out is helpful, and it basically 2HKOs everything.

Description :
  • Since the most consistent build around bronzong is trick room fulfilling it's niche as Z-Trick Room user and acts as a great momentum blocker. It has a decent match-up against psychic spam, it's an great anti-lead against such teams and since taunt doesn't block z trick room so that's pretty useful.
  • Next up Kanga was an easy addition since it offers so much support in general, I opted for bulky attacker rather than completely support version with low kick, since banded tyranitar which has been getting popular as of late threatens Trick Room teams a lot. In addition it hits heatran for good damage too, so that's pretty great.
  • I generally like to stack up a couple of offensive tr users rather than one passive one, so I added Hoopa-Unbound, which is obviously great as always due to substitute aegislash being an ass in general to TR teams and Victini, a personal favourite of mine on TR teams with safety goggles to counter random spores and due to it's more than decent bulk. Also in turn, it gives me a good sun match-up being able to safely set TR against that play-style and helps a lot against mega-metagross.
  • Now, next up I wanted some strong special presence, and since I wanted to use something new, I went with primarina . Not much to say, it hits pretty hard what it needs to and encore + hoopa punishes protect spam. The set survives a max attack double edge from mence.
  • And in the last slot I went for my personal favourite set of this generation AV Bulu, which is just godly imo, takes on rain almost by itself, with terrain boost it has more than enough power while still being able to take hits like char-y heatwave under sun. Nature's Madness is preferred over Stone Edge since madness + seismic toss is great at whittling down random walls and koes most stuff, helping other members to achieve KOes better.
PS: Elise primarina is named gigi, please like my post. Thank You

EVs: 236 HP / 252 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- King's Shield

The goal is to set up Trick Room with Bronzong and then put Pokemon to sleep. Tapu Bulu provides its own terrain to stop Tapu Koko and Tapu Fini also Tapu Bulu is the slowest Tapu so great when on a Trick Room team. Charizard and Scrafty turn the team into a Sun-room team. Tapu Lele is able to provide a fast mode to the team because Venusaur is only good for being fast in the sun and putting things to sleep and because i have Tapu Bulu it only stacked grass types, but Tapu Lele is nice as a second terrain to stop Electric and Misty Terrain while also preventing priority. Aegislash is nice because it is slow and has good defense.

Z tr bronzong is fairly linear team comp wise so most teams end up looking the same. Bulu is like necessary for negating terrains that prevent it from being able to use hypnosis. Hoopa is fat and helps deal with steels and aegi while being another trick room setter. Diancie helps with sun and dragons and helps set up trick room later in the game. Kang is for fake out + breaking shit with stoss. Tran is for steels like aegi and eruptran is an insane force w/ trick room support, with goggles to improve mu vs amoong.

edit: changed ara to hoopa after testing this team out a bit

This is a super deadly team, but when you set Kanga's ability to be Parental Bond in the importable it becomes Early Bird pre-mega. I lost a ssnls game because I thought I was Scrappy :I
