Monotype Hippowdon

[OVERVIEW]
* Hippowdon's access to Sand Stream makes it a reliable choice on sand-based Ground teams with Sand Rush Excadrill.
* Hippodown is one of the best Ground-type walls thanks to its high defensive stats and access to reliable recovery in Slack Off.
* It’s also a great support Pokemon that can set up Stealth Rock, making it a must-have on any balanced Ground-type team. It also has access to some utility moves including Whirlwind, which prevents Hippowdon from being complete setup bait, especially to threats that resist its STAB move.
* Sand Stream is very useful for easing the matchup against rain and sun teams.
* Hippowdon's average special bulk makes it easily beat down by powerful special wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y and Landorus.
* Hippowdon's low Speed tier makes it harder for it to set up Stealth Rock and leaves it weak to fast Taunt users such as Mew.
* It should also avoid facing Toxic users such as Porygon-2 and Zapdos, as it can’t do much back if it doesn’t carry a status-inflicting move.
* Hippowdon's Ground typing makes it weak to Water, Grass, and Ice, which are common offensive types and commonly used as coverage moves, making it harder for Hippowdown to perform well as a defensive Pokemon.

move 4: Whirlwind
item: Leftovers / Eject Button
ability: Sand Stream
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves

========

* Stealth Rock is great move, as it helps against Fire, Flying and Bug teams, breaks Focus Sashes, and deal chip damage. Hippowdon can easily set it up thanks to its great bulk.
* Earthquake is Hippowdon's main way to deal damage, wearing down frail sweepers and ensuring that Hippowdown won't be complete Taunt fodder.
* Slack Off helps keep Hippowdon healthy, making it able to pivot throughout the battle.
* Whirlwind is nice for phazing setup sweepers such as Landorus-T and Mimikyu, and works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream to wear the opposing team down.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense and HP EVs are used to maximize Hippowdon's physical bulk, allowing it to take on strong physical attackers such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor.
* A Relaxed nature allows Hippowdon to be slower than both Pelipper and Politoed, allowing it to always get its own weather up in a lead situation.
* Leftovers is a better option on Hippowdon if you want passive recovery.
* Eject Button can be used on more offensive teams to keep momentum.
* Rocky Helmet is also an option to deal chip damage to contact attack users, but using Leftovers or Eject Button is often preferred.
* A mixed EV spread such as 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 SpD can be used to more easily tank special attacks; 116 Special Defense EVs let Hippowdon take a Fire Blast or Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y, a Draco Meteor from Latios, and one Grass Knot or two Hidden Power Ices from Choice Specs Tapu Koko.
* Sand Stream is mandatory, as it allows Excadrill to sweep with Sand Rush, boosts Mega Garchomp's Attack, and deals chip damage to break Focus Sashes and Multiscale.

Usage Tips
========

* Hippowdon's main feature is Stealth Rock, so set it up early and try to keep it up throughout the battle to pressure the opponent.
* Hippowdon has to avoid special Attackers such as Latios and Xurkitree as much as possible; it should be used only to check physical Attackers such as Dragonite and Staraptor.
* Sand Stream is helpful when it comes to checking other weather teams; for example, Hippowdon can set up sand against rain water teams to ensure that Kingdra won't sweep your team.
* Hippowdon makes a good lead because it has the advantage in some matchups such as Electric, Fairy, and Bug, breaks Focus Sashes with sand, and has enough bulk to tank hits and set Stealth Rock, but don't lead with it against anti-leads, Taunt users such as Mew and Heatran, or lead Jirachi, which often runs Toxic.
* Don't lead against Torkoal or Mega Charizard-Y, which underspeed or Mega Evolve to set up sun after Hippowdon.
* Hippowdon should be kept healthy throughout the match with Slack Off and used often to pivot and set up sand for Excadrill or wall threats.
* To maintain its staying power, avoid Toxic and Will-O-Wisp whenever possible.
* If using Eject Button, bring it in on an attack to switch out to the appropriate teammate to pressure opposing Pokémon and keep up momentum; don't bring Hippowdon if sand is still up unless you need the aforementioned momentum. Don't keep Hippowdon on a hit, it will waste the Eject button and a turn if it does.
* When switching Hippowdon into physical setup sweepers, immediately phaze them with Whirlwind; despite its great bulk, Hippowdon can't take strong boosted attacks.

Team Options
========

* Excadrill benefits immensely from the sand that Hippowdon sets, doubling its Speed to easily sweep; Excadrill can also come on Toxic for Hippowdon.
* Water Absorb users such as Gastrodon and Seismitoad have an immunity to Water and can easily come on most special attackers if running EVs in Special Defense or holding Assault Vest.
* Mega Garchomp also profits from sand, which boosts its Ground- and Rock-type attacks, making more threatening to the opposing team.
* Dugtrio is a good teammate that can trap some threats such as Xurkitree and Magearna as well as set up Stealth Rock to free up a moveslot on Hippowdon.
* Hippowdon sets up Stealth Rock and can create setup opportunities for Landorus-T, which threatens opposing Flying, Grass, and offensive teams with its Rockium Z double dance set. Landorus-T's Intimidate can also help Hippowdon take physical hits more easily.
* Landorus can easily beat Grass-type teams thanks to its Life Orb- and Sheer Power-boosted Earth Power and Sludge Wave, and can also set up Gravity, which allows it to easily threaten and wear down Flying teams.
* Nidoking is an option over Landorus for its ability to threaten Grass-, Flying-, and Water-type teams as well as set up Toxic Spikes to pressure the opponent’s team.
* Choice Band Mamoswine is a nice teammate that can help against Grass- and Flying-type teams and switch in on Ice-type attacks thanks to its typing and Thick Fat.
* Gliscor is a stallbreaker that can absorb status and take on most of the walls that force Hippowdon out.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

* Rock Slide is a good alternative to Earthquake, serving to hit Flying-types such as Mega Charizard Y and Zapdos. Stone Edge is usable to OHKO Mega Pinsir, but is less accurate.
* Toxic is a move that can be run if you want to cripple walls and stall with Hippowdon.
* A support set with Slack Off / Toxic / Earthquake / Whirlwind is also an option, but only if you already run Stealth Rock on a teammate.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Hippowdon can't take hits from strong Water-type attackers such as Keldeo and Greninja, and usually takes huge damage from bulky Water-types' Scald, which Hippowdon can't do much back to.

**Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Breloom and Mega Venusaur can easily switch on Earthquake and do heavy damage to Hippowdon with their STAB moves. Bulky Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Cradily can easily set up Spikes or Stealth Rock on it.

**Stallbreakers**: Pokémon such as Mega Sableye, Mew, and Gliscor can shut Hippowdon down thanks to Taunt, making it unable to set up Stealth Rock or recover with Slack Off and leaving it vulnerable to an incoming wallbreaker or bulky setup sweeper.

**Weather Setters**: Mega Charizard Y, Pelipper, and Politoed can all come on Hippowdon to disable sand for their respective weather and deal huge damage to Hippowdon with their STAB moves. Z-Rain Dance users such as Manaphy can set up rain and Tail Glow by forcing Hippowdon out.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Strong special attackers such as Meloetta and Choice Specs Hydreigon can easily break through Hippowdon.

**Status**: Toxic poison weakens Hippowdon and makes it unable to check threats. Burn also annoys Hippowdon, as it can no longer deal big damage with Earthquake or Rock Slide.

* Hippowdon's access to Sand Stream makes it a reliable choice in any Ground-type team, specially on sand-based Ground teams with Sand Rush Excadrill
* Hippodown is one of the best Ground-type walls thanks to its high defensive stats and access to reliable recovery move Slack Off

I think you should try to combine line 1 and first half of line two. I feel like Hippowdown's bulk is extremely important and should be mentioned in the first line with Sand Stream. In the second line you could talk about reliable recovery in slack off. That's just me though. ex: Hippowdown's access to Sand Stream with its superb bulk allows it to be a reliable choice for any ground team, especially since Excadrill benefits so heavily from the sand.

* Its also a great support Pokemon being able to set up Stealth Rock and phaze with Whirlwind, making it even more annoying to face
* Sand Stream is very useful for breaking Focus Sashes, and can be used to "check" other weather teams such as Rain and Sun, which makes the matchup easier
* Hippowdon's average special bulk makes it easily beat down by powerful Special Wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard-Y or Hoopa-U
* Hippowdon's low Speed tier doesn't help it to setup Stealth Rock, and will always be moving last, leaving it weak to fast Taunt users such as Mew
* As said before, Taunt completly shut down Hippowdon, it should also avoid facing Toxic users such as Porygon-2 or Zapdos Why are u reiterating what u said about taunt?

* Slack Off helps to keep Hippowdon healthy, making it being able to pivot throughout the battle Add ex like: increasing it's longevity allows it to reliably counter Pokemon such as Mega Metagross, Excadrill ect
* Whirlwind is nice for phazing setup sweepers such as, and works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream
* Earthquake is Hippowdon's main way to deal damage and wear down frail Sweepers Maybe a little more detail? Earthquake is Hippowdown's solid STAB attack that ensures Hippowdown won't be a sitting duck and allows it to wear down Pokemon such as Garchomp.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense and HP EVs are used to maximize Hippowdon's physical bulk, allowing it to take strong physical attackers
* Eject Button activates once to switch-out on the appropriate teammate to pressure and give momentum, don't waste Eject Button if Sand is still up
* Leftovers is a better option on Hippowdon if you want passive recovery, 232 EVs in HP are prefered for a round number to get more Leftovers recovery (26 HP)
* Rocky Helmet is also an option to deal chip damages to contact attacks users, but Leftovers or Eject Button are often preferred
* Sand Stream is mandatory, as it allows Excadrill to being faster and sweep with Sand Rush, boosts Mega Garchomp's Attack and deal chip damages to break Focus Sashes and Multiscale

Usage Tips
========

* Hippowdon's main feature is Stealth Rock, set it and try to keep it up throughout the battle, to pressure opponent team with the chip You should try to set it as early as possible.
* Hippowdon has to avoid as possible Special Attackers such as Latios or Hoopa-U, and should be used only to check Physical Attackers such as Dragonite or Victini Hippo doesn't take banded outrages lol
* Sand Stream is helpful when it comes to check other weather teams Example? Against rain water hippowdown can set sand ensuring Kingdra won't sweep your whole team or something.
* Hippowdon should be keep healthy throughout the match with Slack Off and used often to pivot and set Sand for Excadrill or for walling
* To keep its staying power, avoid Toxic and Will-o-Wisp as possible
* If using Eject Button, bring it on an attack, or it will waste a turn if it's stay on a hit
* Switch on setup sweepers (that hippo can beat, you kinda make it sound like you can switch in on any setup sweepers) and phaze them with Whirlwind, despite great bulk, Hippowdon can't take strong boosted attacks

Team Options

* Excadrill profits of the Sand that Hippowdon sets, allowing it to double its Speed and easily Sweep, Excadrill can also come on Toxic
* Water Absorbers such as Gastrodon or Seismitoad got an immunity to Water and can easily come on most Special Attackers if running EVs in SpDef or Assault vest

* Hippowdon setup Stealth Rock and can create setup opportunities for Landorus-T, which threaten opposing Flying-, Grass-types and offense teams in general with its Rock Z-Move Double Dance I'd say landorus t first, then say how hippo helps it lol. (Landorus can benefit off of hippos rocks...)
* Landorus-I can easily beat Grass-type teams thanks to its Life Orb Sheer Power boosted Earth Power and Sludge Wave, and also setup Gravity which threaten Flying-type teams and easily weak down it
* Choice Band Mamoswine is a nice teammate which can help against Grass- and Flying-type matchup and switch on Ice-type attacks thanks to its typing and Thick Fat

* Stone Edge is an good alternative to Earthquake, and serves to hit Flying-types such as Mega Charizard-Y or Zapdos, Rock Slide is usable over Stone Edge but it lacks power but eq is usually preferred since its STAB, has more PP, and you should have other flying checks.
* Toxic is a move that can be run'd if you want to cripple Walls and stall with Hippowdon but losing out on a solid attack/whirlwind which is very important for hippowdown isn't rly worth it.
* Yawn works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand, as its mechanic forces the foe to switch-out, creating extra chip damages and spread Sleep - Uh i'd remove that but w/e QC says lol
* A Support Set with Slack Off / Toxic / Earthquake / Whirlwind is also an option

Checks and Counters

**Taunt users**: Taunt shut down Hippowdon, which can't setup Stealth Rock or recover with Slack Off, leaving it weak to the first wallbreaker or bulky setup sweeper Examples, Stallbreaker might be a better word than taunt users?

**Weather Setters**: Mega Charizard-Y, Pelliper and Ninetales-Alola can all come on Hippowdon and disable Sand for their respective weather, and deal huge damages to Hippowdon with their STABs

**Special Wallbreakers**: Strong Attackers such as Hoopa-U or Greninja can easily break Hippowdon through Hippowdon with strong special attacks.

**Grass-types**: Pokémon such as Breloom or Mega Venusaur can easily switch on Earthquake and do heavy damages to Hippowdon with their STABs, Bulky Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Cradily can easily setup Spikes or Stealth Rock on it.

Amcheck, keep in mind that this does not count as an official check.

I know that english isnt your first language, but grammar could use a LOT of work, I'm not going to do a GP amcheck as well. For instance, only 3 bullets in the entire analyses end with a period, 'damages' instead of 'damage', etc

Aside from that, content is fine, just missing examples and explanations.
Maybe try to get someone from the GP team to help you in writing this up?

* Stealth Rock is great move, as it helps against Fire, Flying and Bug teams, break Focus Sashes, and deal chip damages, Hippowdon can easily set it thanks to its great bulk. Also add that it pressures foes on switches and wears down walls when used along with Whirlwind.
* Slack Off helps to keep Hippowdon healthy, making it being able to pivot throughout the battle
* Whirlwind is nice for phazing setup sweepers, and works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream
* Earthquake is Hippowdon's main way to deal damage and wear down frail sweepers. Add that although it doesn't hit too hard, it prevents Hippowdon from being a sitting duck after Taunt.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense and HP EVs are used to maximize Hippowdon's physical bulk, allowing it to take strong physical attackers
* Eject Button activates once to switch-out on the appropriate teammate to pressure and give momentum, don't waste Eject Button if Sand is still up the second part is more suitable for usage tips
* Leftovers is a better option on Hippowdon if you want passive recovery, 232 EVs in HP are prefered for a round number to get more Leftovers recovery (26 HP)
* Rocky Helmet is also an option to deal chip damages to contact attacks users, but Leftovers or Eject Button are often preferred why are they often preferred? Expand.
* Sand Stream is mandatory, as it allows Excadrill to being faster and sweep with Sand Rush, boosts Mega Garchomp's Attack and deal chip damages to break Focus Sashes and Multiscale

Usage Tips
========

* Hippowdon's main feature is Stealth Rock, set it and try to keep it up throughout the battle, to pressure opponent team with the chip Hippowdon's main feature is definitely not stealth rock, every ground type gets it. Its main feature is Sand stream.
* Hippowdon has to avoid as possible Special Attackers such as Latios or Hoopa-U, and should be used only to check Physical Attackers such as Dragonite or Victini
* Sand Stream is helpful when it comes to check other weather teams how exactly? Explain
* Switch on setup sweepers and phaze them with Whirlwind, despite great bulk, Hippowdon can't take strong boosted attacks
* if eject button is still intact, using whirlwind is usually the better play, since the opponent is phazed out if they they to set up instead of attacking
* mention that it should never be used to deal damage directly unless the target is weak to earthquake.

Team Options
========

* Excadrill profits of the Sand that Hippowdon sets, allowing it to double its Speed and easily Sweep, Excadrill can also come on Toxic
* Water Absorbers such as Gastrodon or Seismitoad got an immunity to Water and can easily come on most Special Attackers if running EVs in SpDef or Assault vest mention them separately. Seismitoad checks Azumarill with sludge wave and is a more offensive water absorber. Gastrodon allows for a more consistent presence with reliable recovery.
* Mega Garchomp also profits of Sand, which boost its Attack and makes more threatening for the opposing team mention its ability. Also mention its neutrality to water type moves.
* Hippowdon setup Stealth Rock and can create setup opportunities for Landorus-T, which threaten opposing Flying-, Grass-types and offense teams in general with its Rock Z-Move Double Dance no need to mention the exact set, just say that it creates set up opportunities for Landorus-t
* Landorus-I can easily beat Grass-type teams thanks to its Life Orb Sheer Power boosted Earth Power and Sludge Wave, and also setup Gravity which threaten Flying-type teams and easily weak down it earth power doesnt help against grass teams, since cradily and Ferrothorn are hit by focus blast. Mention that gravity allows it to freely spam earth power
* Choice Band Mamoswine is a nice teammate which can help against Grass- and Flying-type matchup and switch on Ice-type attacks thanks to its typing and Thick Fat mention that it resists Ice-type moves thanks to Thick Fat, otherwise it is unclear why you said that it could switch into ice moves without mentioning the reason.

* A Support Set with Slack Off / Toxic / Earthquake / Whirlwind is also an option you already mentioned toxic as a separate bullet. Unless this set uses a different EV spread, don't mention it.

Third AM QC, I'm being challenged here.

* Hippowdon's access to Sand Stream makes it a reliable choice in any Ground-type team, specially on sand-based Ground teams with Sand Rush Excadrill
* Hippodown is one of the best Ground-type walls thanks to its high defensive stats and access to reliable recovery move Slack Off.

* Sand Stream is very useful for breaking Focus Sashes, and can be used to "check" other weather teams such as Rain and Sun, which makes the Change the the to their, or give an example such as water, fire, and maybe ice or flying here as well. matchup easier
* As said before, Taunt completly shut down Hippowdon, it should also avoid facing Toxic users such as Porygon-2 or Zapdos Don't say "as I said before," both because this will be going in paragraph form and because this doesn't relate to that. just go "don't let hippowdon face toxic users" or something.

* Slack Off helps to keep Hippowdon healthy, making it being able to pivot throughout the battle Switch in multiple times, not pivot really.
* Whirlwind is nice for phazing setup sweepers like (examples, maybe dragonite or smth), and works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream to rack up passive damage.
* Earthquake is Hippowdon's main way to deal damage and wear down frail Sweepers such as? also mention how it prevents it from being total taunt bait

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense and HP EVs and an impish nature are used to maximize Hippowdon's physical bulk, allowing it to take strong physical attackers
* Eject Button activates once to switch-out on the appropriate teammate to pressure and give momentum, don't waste Eject Button if Sand is still up elucidate further, as is this is half usage tips
* Leftovers is a better option on Hippowdon if you want passive recovery, 232 EVs 236 evs, not 232 in HP are prefered for a round number to get more Leftovers recovery (26 HP) Mention where to put the extra evs, also this should really go before eject button.
* Rocky Helmet is also an option to deal chip damages to contact attacks users, but Leftovers or Eject Button are often preferred because...

Usage Tips
========

* Hippowdon's main feature is Stealth Rock, set it and try to keep it up throughout the battle, to pressure opponent team with the chip no, sand stream and bulk are. rock setters aren't rare on ground
* Hippowdon has to avoid as possible Special Attackers such as Latios or Hoopa-U, and should be used only to check Physical Attackers such as Dragonite or Victini
* Sand Stream is helpful when it comes to check other weather teams mention how it overwrites the weather (but also how it doesn't like switching in on setters)
* Hippowdon should be keep healthy throughout the match with Slack Off and used often to pivot and set Sand for Excadrill or for walling

* If using Eject Button, bring it on an attack, or it will waste a turn if it's stay on a hit

Mention when to use earthquake (almost never)

* Excadrill profits of the Sand that Hippowdon sets, allowing it to double its Speed and easily Sweep, Excadrill can also come on Toxic
* Water Absorbers such as Gastrodon or Seismitoad got an immunity to Water and can easily come on most Special Attackers if running EVs in SpDef or Assault vest expand this, give a bit more for each because seismitoad checks azu while gastrodon has recovery, and Gastro isn't running assualt vest.
* Mega Garchomp also profits of Sand, which boost its Attacks (the moves, not the stat) and makes more threatening for the opposing team; it can also help against water and grass
* Hippowdon setup Stealth Rock and can create setup opportunities for Landorus-T, which threaten opposing Flying-, Grass-types and offense teams in general with its Rock Z-Move Double Dance no need to mention set
* Landorus-I can easily beat Grass-type teams thanks to its Life Orb Sheer Power boosted Earth Power and Sludge Wave, and also setup Gravity which threaten Flying-type teams and easily weak down it gearth power doesn't help against grass; also gravity is a bad set, if you want to go that route mention rock slide or something.
* Choice Band Mamoswine is a nice teammate which can help against Grass- and Flying-type matchup and switch on Ice-type attacks thanks to its typing and Thick Fat

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

* A Mixed Spread such as 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpDef can be used to tanks easier Special Attackers, 112 EVs in SpDef allows to take one Fire Blast / Solar Beam from Mega Charizard-Y or a Draco Meteor from Latios
* Stone Edge is an good alternative to Earthquake, and serves to hit Flying-types such as Mega Charizard-Y or Zapdos, Rock Slide is usable over Stone Edge but it lacks power it's not a good alternative so this shouldn't be that complementary of it, esp since ground has plenty of flying checks.
* Toxic is a move that can be run'd if you want to cripple Walls and stall with Hippowdon especially if you alreadyhave rocks
* Yawn works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand, as its mechanic forces the foe to switch-out, creating extra chip damages and spread Sleep it does't force them to switch out, it just gives consequences if they don't
* A Support Set with Slack Off / Toxic / Earthquake / Whirlwind is also an option this already is a support set? Just mention that toxic works over rocks if you have another setter as part of the toxic bullet

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Hippowdon can't take strong water-type attackers or really any such as Keldeo or Greninja, and usually take huge damages on Bulky water-types' Scald, Hippowdon can't do much back but Pokémon with Water Absorb such as Gastrodon and Seismitoad can help check those

**Taunt users**: Taunt shut down Hippowdon, which can't setup Stealth Rock or recover with Slack Off, leaving it weak just weak in general really to the first wallbreaker or bulky setup sweeper mention some users, mew maybe

**Stallbreakers**: Gliscor, mew, MSable, etc

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Kyurem-B or Ninetales-A can OKHO Hippowdon with their STABs. consider combining this with water as it's basically super effective attacks (esp on bulky pokemon) but that's up to QC

**Status**: Toxic Poison weaken Hippowdon and makes it not able to check threats, Burn also annoys Hippowdon, as it can't deal big damages with Earthquake / Stone Edge to the foes
Nice work!

Overview:
- Put your Sand Stream lines one after another. Remove the Focus Sash part. Just say that Sand Stream is also helpful for combatting opposing weather.
- Explain why Hippowdon should avoid status users: it rarely carries status of its own.
- I wouldn't use Hippowdon on non-sand Ground. So in your first line, don't say it's good for "any". Also, at the end add a line that Hippowdon struggles to find a spot on teams that don't use Sand Rush Excadrill, as more offensive Stealth Rock users such as Seismitoad tend to be more useful.

Set:
- Eject Button is honestly not very good, but it should at best go after Leftovers.
- SpD not SpDef
- Reordered moves
- Relaxed nature outslows both Pelipper and Politoed, making sure that in a lead situation Hippowdon's sand is kept.

[SET]
name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Slack Off
move 4: Whirlwind
item: Leftovers / Eject Button
ability: Sand Stream
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Moves:
- Reorder these lines based on the set ordering.
- Note that Earthquake prevents Hippowdon from being Taunt fodder.

Set Details:
- Reorder, Leftovers > Eject Button. Eject Button is less reliable and only works once, so it's definitely not as good.
- Remove the 232 HP thing for Leftovers. That's incorrect.
- Move the specially defensive spread here. It's 252 / 140 / 116, by the way. 252 / 144 / 112 has a 6.3% to get OHKOed by Fire Blast from Mega Charizard Y. As another benefit you should mention, this spread lets Hippowdon switch into Choice Specs Tapu Koko's Hidden Power Ice and always survives a Choice Specs-boosted Grass Knot from it as well.
- Explain the Relaxed thing I mentioned above.

Usage Tips:
- This really doesn't say much right now:
* Sand Stream is helpful when it comes to check other weather teams
Try to add a bit more detail and talk about how Hippowdon should combat opposing weather. Example, don't lead vs Torkoal or Mega Charizard Y, which outslows it or takes advantage of Mega Evolution mechanics to set their own weather.
- Talk about using Hippowdon as a lead
- Add to the status line about how Hippowdon should avoid other walls because of that.

Team Options:
- Definitely mention Dugtrio, which can come in and trap Pokemon for Hippowdon such as Torkoal, which both removes Stealth Rock and sand, and Xurkitree.
- Add Nidoking, which can take on Grass- and Water-types that threaten Hippowdon with its powerful Sheer Force-boosted attacks.
- Add Gliscor, which is a stallbreaker that beats almost all of the walls that force Hippowdon out while also being a great status absorber.

Other Options:
- Remove mixed spread.
- Rock Slide is for Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona. Stone Edge hits those and Mega Pinsir but is less accurate.
- Yawn's pretty bad, I'd remove it.
- Note that the set is only if Stealth Rock is being provided by a teammate.

Checks and Counters:
- Don't mention Gastrodon and Seismitoad for checking Water-types.
- Mega Alakazam is hardly a wallbreaker and Greninja was listed as a Water-type. Let's go with Choice Specs Hydreigon and Meloetta?
- I'd probably just not even mention Ice-types.
- Let's do Stallbreakers instead of Taunt users. Mega Sableye, Mew, and Gliscor do fine.
- Politoed > Alolan Ninetales in weather. Also you should actually add Z-Rain Dance Manaphy, which can get a free turn to set rain / Tail Glow as it forces out Hippowdon.

Nice job from you and the amcheckers. QC 1/3

you need to add periods after bullets.

[OVERVIEW]

- doesn't make sense that you don't mention that it gets sr but add the bit about how other offensive rockers are preferred on teams without sand in the first bullet. maybe combine it with the third bullet?
- has to rely on whirlwind in order to not become complete setup bait
- weak to common offensive types (water, ice, grass)

[SET]

- eject button is honestly not very good on hippo imo. rocky helmet is a lot more viable than it and deserves to be slashed after lefties. i'd put eject button in oo

name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Slack Off
move 4: Whirlwind
item: Leftovers / Rocky Helmet

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves

* Whirlwind is nice for phazing setup sweepers, and works very well in tandem with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream
- examples of setup sweepers that it can phase out?

Set Details

* Maximum Defense and HP EVs are used to maximize Hippowdon's physical bulk, allowing it to take strong physical attackers
- examples?
- get rid of eject button

Usage Tips

* Hippowdon has to avoid as possible Special Attackers such as Latios or Hoopa-U, and should be used only to check Physical Attackers such as Dragonite or Victini
- victini is not a great example bc its not really much of a threat to ground teams
- get rid of the eject button bullet
* Switch on setup sweepers and phaze them with Whirlwind, despite great bulk, Hippowdon can't take strong boosted attacks
- setup sweepers such as? it cant switch into most special setup sweepers
* Don't lead against Torkoal or Mega Charizard-Y, which outslow or mega evolve to set Sun after Hippowdon
* Hippowdon makes a good lead against some matchups such as Electric, Fairy or Bug, it breaks Focus Sashes with Sand and has enough bulk to tank hits and set Stealth Rock, but don't lead against Anti Leads / Taunt users such as Mew or Heatran, it should also avoid Jirachi lead since it often run Toxic
- i'd switch the order of these two, you should mention what you should lead against then mention what leads you should watch out for

Team Options

- hippo is pretty much a must on most balanced ground teams bc of sand support but offensive variants can run non sand teams without hippo
- the stealth rock support is also greatly appreciated by a lot of mons on ground teams. pretty much all the wallbreakers you mentioned (lando i, exca, nidoking etc) appreciate sr greatly
- lando-t

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

- put eject button here

Checks and Counters

- put grass-types after water-types. rest of the order seems fine

[Team Options]
* Dugtrio is a good teammate which can trap some threats such as Xurkitree or Torkoal, and can set Stealth Rock and free a moveslot on Hippowdon
+ Dugtrio doesn't normally run Stealth Rock, so I'd remove that, if anything, Dugtrio appreciates Stealth Rock support instead.

[Checks and Counters]
+ In the status section, do you mean Rock Slide? Why is Stone Edge ever mentioned at all when it's not at least mentioned in the above OO section? I'd just replace that with Rock Slide instead.

Implement whatever I don't disagree with in terrors check, good job.

Well done.

This has been waiting for a while so I guess i'll QC this even though i've already am QC'd it.

[OVERVIEW]

* It’s also a great support Pokemon that can set Stealth Rock, making it a must-have in any Balanced Ground-type team, but it’s less used on non-sand Ground-type teams, where offensive Stealth Rock users such as Seismitoad are often prefered.
* It has also access to Whirlwind, which allows Hippowdon to not being a complete setup bait, especially to threats that resist Hippowdown's STAB move.
- Just remove the latter portion in the Stealth Rock bullet, it seems very unnecessary and only positive traits of the Pokemon should be at the top. After you've done that, merge the Whirlwind bullet and make it something like 'Hippowdon gets access to various utility moves including . . . '

Set Details

* Eject Button activates once to switch-out on the appropriate teammate to pressure and give momentum, don't waste Eject Button if Sand is still up.
- That's more of a usage tip, no need to put it here.

Usage Tips

* If using Eject Button, bring it on an attack, or it will waste a turn if it's stay on a hit.
- Elaborate a bit on this, if sand is already up, try not to waste your Eject Button unless you're in need of momentum.

Team Options

* Mega Garchomp also profits of Sand, which boost its Attack and makes more threatening for the opposing team.
- It doesn't boost Mega Garchomp's Attack stat, it just boosts its Ground- and Rock-type attacks.
* Hippowdon setup Stealth Rock and can create setup opportunities for Landorus-T, which threaten opposing Flying-, Grass-types and offense teams in general with its Rock Z-Move Double Dance.
* Landorus-T threaten opposing Flying-, Grass-types and offensive teams in general and benefits of Hippowdon's ability to set Stealth Rock and create setup opportunities.
- Literally the same sentence twice, merge them. Mention Landorus-T's Intimidate further boosts Hippowdon's ability to take physical attacks.

[OVERVIEW]
* Hippowdon's access to Sand Stream makes it a reliable choice on sand-based Ground teams with Sand Rush Excadrill.
* Hippodown is one of the best Ground-type walls thanks to its high defensive stats and access to reliable recovery move in Slack Off.
* It’s also a great support Pokemon that can set up Stealth Rock, making it a must-have in on any Balanced Ground-type team,. (comma) (period) it has also It also has access to some utility moves including Whirlwind, which allows prevents Hippowdon to not from being a complete setup bait, especially to threats that resist Hippowdown's its STAB move.
* Sand Stream is very useful for easing the matchup against rain and sun teams to "check" other weather teams such as Rain and Sun, which makes the matchup easier.
* Hippowdon's average special bulk makes it easily beat down by powerful Special Wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard-(hyphen)Y or and Landorus-I.
* Hippowdon's low Speed tier doesn't help it to setup Stealth Rock, and will always be moving last, leaving makes it harder for it to set up Stealth Rock and leaves it weak to fast Taunt users such as Mew.
* It should also avoid facing Toxic users such as Porygon-2 or and Zapdos, as it can’t do much back if it doesn’t carry a status-inflicting move on its moveset.
* Hippowdon's Ground typing makes it weak to Water-, Grass, and Ice-types Water, Grass, and Ice, which are common offensive types and commonly used as coverage moves, making not able it harder for Hippowdown to perform well as a defensive Pokemon.

* Toxic is a move that can be run'd if you want to cripple Walls and stall with Hippowdon.
* A Support Set with Slack Off / Toxic / Earthquake / Whirlwind is also an option, but only if you already run Stealth Rock on a teammate.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Hippowdon can't take hits from strong water-type attackers such as Keldeo or and Greninja, and usually takes huge damage on from Bulky water-types' Scald, which Hippowdon can't do much back to those.

**Grass-types**: Pokémon Pokemon such as Breloom or and Mega Venusaur can easily switch on Earthquake and do heavy damage to Hippowdon with their STABs, (comma) moves. Bulky Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Cradily can easily set(space)up Spikes or Stealth Rock on it.

**Stallbreakers**: Pokémon such as Mega Sableye, Mew, (comma) and or Gliscor can shut down Hippowdon down thanks to Taunt to their ability, making it not unable to set(space)up Stealth Rock or recover with Slack Off, (comma) and leaving it weak vulnerable to the first an incoming wallbreaker or bulky setup sweeper.

**Weather Setters**: Mega Charizard-(hyphen)Y, Pelliper Pelipper, (comma) and Politoed can all come on Hippowdon and to disable Sand for their respective weather, (comma) and deal huge damage to Hippowdon with their STABs, (comma) moves. Z-Rain Dance users such as Manaphy can set up Rain and Tail Grow Glow by forcing out Hippowdon out.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Strong special Attackers such as Meloetta or and Choice Specs Hydreigon can easily break through Hippowdon with strong special attacks.

**Status**: Toxic poison weakens Hippowdon and makes it not unable to check threats,. (comma) (period) burn also annoys Hippowdon, as it can't can no longer deal big damage with Earthquake or Rock Slide to the foes.
