Learned By: Venoqueen
Used Moves: Venoshock
(Nidoqueen) & Quiver Dance
(Venomoth)
Move Name: Toxin Jitter
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: ---
Accuracy: ---
Power Points: 15 (24 Max)
Effect: Raises the user's SpA, SpD and Spe by 1 stage. If the opponent is poisoned, raise them by 2 stages instead.
Target: Self
Competitive Niche: Holy mother of hell this can be powerful. Especially on a team with Toxic Spikes. Giving regular Quiver Dance stats is good already, and the poison boost makes it very strong.
Learned By: Polyform2
Used Moves: Weather Ball
(Castform) & Facade
(Porygon2)
Move Name: Weather Blast
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: 60
Accuracy: 100%
Power Points: 20 (32 Max)
Effect: Power doubles in the weather, and changes types during weather. Power also doubles if the user has a status. Both of these stack.
Target: 1 adjacent foe
Competitive Niche: so... This move can have 240 BP before STAB max. it has 120 BP if you use it in the weather (why the hell wouldn't you?). tbf, that's all I got. Just make sure you don't accidentally burn this thing.
Learned By: Scaria
Used Moves: Bulk Up
(Scrafty) & Dragonbreath
(Altaria)
Move Name: Overbuff
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: ---
Accuracy: ---
Power Points: 15 (24 Max)
Effect: Raises the user's Atk, Def and SpD by 1 stage. Paralyzes the user.
Target: Self
Competitive Niche: Thanks to Scaria's ability, Pure Thug, Overbuff now raises the user's Attack by 2 stages, aswell as providing a defensive buff. Although make sure you don't use this on a mega, An unwanted paralysis can be game changing.
Learned By: Slurpum
Used Moves: Draining Kiss
(Slurpuff) & Focus Punch
(Breloom)
Move Name: Focused Fatigue Punch
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: 110
Accuracy: 100%
Power Points: 20 (32 Max)
Effect: Heals 75% of the damage done. If this pokemon is hit before using this move, it heals nothing.
Target: 1 adjacent foe.
Competitive Niche: I wasn't really sure what to do with Slurpum, but it's lacking a good fighting type move other than Drain Punch and Superpower, I guess. However, Focused Fatigue Punch allows Slurpum to have a strong fighting type move without there being any drawbacks. One might look at it and say it's just a better Drain Punch, however, if this pokemon is hit with a move before using it, which it usually will be due to it's sub-par speed stat, it will lose it's draining bonus.
Learned By: Thundersaurus
Used Moves: Leaf Storm
(Venusaur) & Volt Switch
(Thundurus)
Move Name: Seedling Switch
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: 80
Accuracy: 95%
Power Points: 5 (8 Max)
Effect: Lowers SpA by 2 stages, then switches out.
Target: 1 adjacent foe.
Competitive Niche: So... The lowering SpA is literally pointless on this thing.
Unless it's the final mon out, in which case it would become a burden. Other than that you now have an 80 BP pivoting move that, due to it's ability, has priority. Happy Pivoting :D
Learned By: Rhyperlax
Used Moves: Rock Slide
(Rhyperior) & Yawn
(Snorlax)
Move Name: Sleepy Rocks
New Type:
Classification:
Base Power: 65
Accuracy: 90%
Power Points: 5 (8 Max)
Effect: Has a 30% chance to put the opponent to sleep.
Target: All adjacent foes
Competitive Niche: Have fun putting pokemon to sleep. Seriously though, this thing is very strong. Albeit with a low BP. 30% chance to put the foe to sleep would make for some super salty matches.
