breeding a 31/x/31/31/31/31 took me almost a week.
1/8 female, then evolving togepi via friendship each time i hit an extra 31iv... urrrrrgh... bad memories.

yeah, it works like synchronize and compouneyes, so if you have a cute charm pokemon in the first slot in your party, wild pokemon will have a 66% chance to be the opposite gender (so a male cute charm will make your wild encounters 66% female)
