idk why i dont know ive watched enough american sitcoms that i should know.

americans call it ads. I distinctively remember the difference because I was in the UK once chatting with an old person, and he somehow brought up something related to adverts, and I didn't get it at first so he said "oh, you must call it ads then".. lol
