I was just reading through the doubles newsroom op and it was like "the doubles newsroom, as its name implies, is a resource for you, the end user, to be updated about doubles etc."

And it's like all that is not needed it is literally saying it is for news about doubles

Like why do you have to explain that "you" refers to the reader? It's understood. I love Audiosurfer so much but that sentence is rough

Exactly right? I feel like a lot of users are caught up with making things sound cool they forget that communication is first and foremost supposed to be functional, not stylish

the problems with this sentence go beyond "as its name implies". I mean if you had some steak would you garnish it with a little butter? sometimes its ok, even if the steak had some butter on it already
