'Cause his frankly psychotic genocide of the supers had no real motivation, it's not like they ever did anything to really hurt him. And when you look at his flashback of Mr. Incredible saying "Fly home Buddy, I work alone" Bomb Voyage is not there, even though he was during the real event. That means he actually lost the memory of what really happened and is fixated on Mr. Incredible and has forgotten the real issue in that situation, the supervillain. Also, Bomb Voyage's bomb getting snagged on his cape was foreshadowing to how the cape would eventually get him killed as an adult.
