Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
After a bit of a hiatus, I'm looking to get in to the latest gen. I'd like to start myself with perfect IV-bred pokemon and have some following questions
1. When is the earliest point I can start competitively breeding in Ultra Moon?
2. When is the earliest point I can start "migrating" pokemon...
Looking to get back to playing pokemon, however upon browsing smogon for info, two questions come into mind.
1. Does smogon not have a strategy dex for Sun/Moon version? I enjoyed reading about specific pokemon and its analysis/counters, sad to see it not available (or eluding me somehow?).
2...
Pokemon Go has hyped me and my friends to start playing again!
I'm looking to breed perfect mons to start us off, and would like to know the following!
1. The earliest point in-game (X & Y) that you can start trading
2. Can we receive eggs through trade? If so, can the egg be a pokemon from...
I was under the idea that Battle Institute was the best place to hatch eggs (with the camera rotating and all)
However there are a lot of obstacles and I can't just mindlessly hold down one directional button and be done with it lol.
I feel like there is an easier way to navigate the island...
That's fair.. I guess.
I'm also assuming that fainted lead's level is being taken into calculation for repel purposes?
I have a lv.4 Synchronizer fainted, then a lv.60 in the 2nd slot. But repel does not have any effect, lol.
confirm/deny?
thanks, another question lol
Can I have a fainted Synchronizer in the 1st slot, then a fainted Compound Eyes pokemon in the 2nd slot and get both benefits?
In 6th gen, do EV-reducing berries reduce the
-EV down to 100 first THEN 10 EV per berry,
OR
-10 EV per berry fixed no matter what the starting EV value is?
to adhere to your example, since it is meant to be a wall... might as well disregard the sp.atk IV of 31 then.
it is actually a huge plus for a waller to be faster than the opposing pokemon than to pack a slightly powerful punch.
that's awesome, I can mindlessly grind to my heart's content without worrying that it'll go upto 255.
didn't mean to doubt any of you, just bad memories of messing up EV training tad too many times in prev gen haunts me :P
thank you all!
also, is there a method for reliably farming PP Max?
So if a pokemon that sits at 252 EV gets another point, it won't be added at all, correct?
I just want to double-check so I don't have to count every single kill like previous verions.
Do you have any source for this? I faintly recall reading somewhere that it's 252 for 6th Gen but I cannot find...
