Project The OU Underdog Project (Week 17: Gogoat)

Metagross, Scizor, Gengar, and Venusaur all handle fairies very well, being able to come in on all of the ones you mentioned and OHKO most of the time. And since your mega slot isn't being used by Salamence they make great teammates for him, something no other mega can say. People seem to be...

Project The OU Underdog Project (Week 17: Gogoat)

Answering the first part. Tough Claws Charizard does less damage then a Salamence with a Life Orb. Not by much but it does. A Moxie boost isn't that hard to get most of the time. Mence has the advantage of a nice mixed movepool as you pointed out, letting it get past some of the the things that...

Project The OU Underdog Project (Week 17: Gogoat)

I keep hearing that Salamence is completely outclassed in OU, but I messed around with him a lot, and I have to say he wrecks teams pretty hard. I guess the best way to look at Salamence is to compare him to his competition. So who is his main competition? Charizard, Altaria, and Dragonite are...

Project The OU Underdog Project (Week 17: Gogoat)

I have tried CurseLax in the past, biggest difference was that I used crunch over sleeptalk. Few things are able to kill snorlax while he is sleeping anyways, and the feeling of being able to kill ghosts without having to worry is amazing. The other set that I haven't seen mentioned here that I...

DD Petaya Berry Salamence NP Mega Houndoom 3 Attack + Roost Kyurem-Black Think these are the most interesting ones. Kyurem is a boss, while Salamence is so underrated right now it is weird.

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Unaware Shuckle is really hard to beat. Basically nothing in the game can OHKO it, and since it has access to recovery in this metagame it is even harder to beat. (Slaking's pure power outrage deals 53.3% - 62.7% before a power swap and with Shuckle having no defense boosts). Of course even then...

    Pokemon Showdown bug reports

Posting to say that it just had me lose when I had a pokemon left. Basically he fainted my imposter Blissey while I had a pokemon with 88% left in the wings and it said I lost.

The answer to the ultimate question: Blissey or Chansey?

After the first attack the damage difference is highly in favor of Blissey. The second switchin deals 12% more damage to Chansey then to Blissey. The 3rd deals 18% more and so on and so forth. and you can't just rely on wish/protect to heal you (In which case Blissey again gains more Health)...

The answer to the ultimate question: Blissey or Chansey?

You also forgot to mention Hazards as they absolutely destroy Chansey. Stealth rock takes a good 12% of your health every time that you switch, making passing that wish rather hard sometimes wheras comperatively speaking Blissey only takes ~6% from Stealth Rock thanks to it beaing able to heal...

    The Dark Horse Project III

Yeah that was what I thought. The next couple battles were rather big variations too (+45,-9 and +57,-15) so I don't know if it was just the time or whatnot but it was strange.

    The Dark Horse Project III

Since I just started yesterday my team hasn't quite made it. I also went on a bit of a tilt at the beggining (a -73,+17 match ugh) so I have just broken back through a 1000. SO far the team works well, with my two main sweepers, Metagross and Lucario, absolutely decimating if they get a sweeping...

np: UU Stage 5 - Every Rose Has Its Thorns

Crobat makes for a pretty good Deoxys counter for stall. Always outspeeds and can Taunt/Super Fang/Brave Bird. The only thing Deoxys can do back is Thunderwave on the switch, but it really doesn't have the movepool for Thunderwave. Taunt/Spikes/Recover are a must on every set, Stealth Rocks and...

np: UU Stage 5 - Every Rose Has Its Thorns

Fair enough. I was just looking at it and was wondering what a tier with all the current mons (Stuff that dropped down(Darmanitan, Chandelure, Swampert, Brozong)) would be like. Personally I don't think it would be ridiculously broken, but if your opinion is different I can understand. Again I...

np: UU Stage 5 - Every Rose Has Its Thorns

I have played lots of UU battles, against lots of UU players. Deoxys is good at setting up spikes, if you give it the chance. My strategy with it has always been to hit it hard and kill it quickly. Deoxys CANNOT set up spikes if it has to recover every turn. And just letting you know here are...
